SCP-3608 “The Power of Pine-Sol”

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3608 requires no special containment procedures, aside from firmly fastening the cap when use has completed. All other traditional storage methods within Research Site 19 have been observed to be effective, with the bottle needing to be stored in a cool dry place to prevent accidental, and potentially catastrophic spills. Use by foundation custodial staff, and all other acting staff of level 4 and lower, has been authorized for the intended function of the product. Use permission is granted by the approval of the acting custodial supervisor of the site. Use of a sign out sheet for use outside of scheduled cleaning and maintenance of site facilities, is required for any personal besides foundation custodial personnel. Any attempts to remove SCP-3608 will be met with disciplinary action by the active director of the facility in tandem with the head of custodial operations within the site.

Description: SCP-3608 appears to be a standard 24 oz bottle of the popular cleanser Pine-Sol multi-surface cleaner measuring approximately 10 cm in height and width. All standard effects and claims made by the Clorox® Company have been observed to remain consistent with traditional claims by the manufacturer, container capacity notwithstanding. While outer branding has been observed to change based on current container design, the trademark name and Clorox® Company branding have been consistently observed despite all label changes. In addition to such changes in branding, foundation custodial personnel have reported that since its acquisition in late 19XX no observable change in quantity of fluid within the container. This is despite consistent use of the cleanser over the previous years.
