Item #: SCP [REDACTED]
Object Class:Euclid Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP [REDACTED] is to be contained inside its initial location until further notice. A perimeter of no less than 500 meters in circumference is to be kept at all times surrounding the building, and an airlock is to be installed to allow access to the containment building. Under no circumstances are personnel of any level clearance to enter or attempt to experiment on the anomalous properties inside the facility unless green lit by the 05 Council. A patrol of no less than five (5) security team personnel are to inspect the current containment facility for leakage, cracks, or structural instability. This patrol is required to report their findings to the highest ranking Researcher and Engineer on site following patrols. If repairs are to be made, engineers present on the site are to make immediate repairs, overseen by at least 20 security team personnel. Depending on the severity of the breach, engineers and security team personnel can be outfitted with on-site SCRAMBLE units, flamethrowers, hazmat suits, or any other on-site equipment deemed necessary for usage by the site Administrator or Head of Security. All civilians, military personnel, or other non-site affiliated human or sentient creature are to be turned away and given Class D Anesthetic. Depending on the exposure time of the subject to SCP [REDACTED], a cover story may need to be generated. Any personnel or sentient life forms that enter the containment chamber are to be assumed KIA and are not to be followed. Any subject that comes into contact with SCP [REDACTED] must follow all procedures listed in this document under the "Cleaning Process for SCP [REDACTED]" tab.
Description
SCP [REDACTED] is a airborne substance with the visual appearance being that similar to heavy fog that was released by unknown means in an Italian Military testing facility located on longitude [REDACTED] latitude [REDACTED]. The facility is completely sealed from the outside world via 15 inch concrete walls and ceiling. The site is mostly subterranean, with only 2 floors above the surface and 48 floors underneath. All floors have been compromised by SCP [REDACTED]. The facility is still currently structurally sound. See Addendum 1-A for the possible epicenters of the outbreak of SCP [REDACTED] for further information.
SCP [REDACTED] has properties similar to that of gaseous substances as opposed to fog, since SCP [REDACTED] completely fills any container it occupies regardless of temperature, volume, or pressure. SCP [REDACTED] is not affected by wind, water, or any physical force that has been tested as of this documentation. SCP [REDACTED] has the consistency similar to that of Molasses when physical contact is made. Breathing of any subject, however, is not hindered or obstructed by SCP [REDACTED]. Rather, in approximately 2 hours time (See Addendum [REDACTED]-3A), the subject will suddenly and rapidly suffer from asphyxiation, similar to that seen in subjects who have suffered from Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Asphyxiation only occurs if the subject remains inside SCP [REDACTED] for that amount of time. Quickly removing a subject from SCP [REDACTED] and reinserting them allows the subject to continue on for approximately 2 more hours, or until an encounter with an instance of SCP [REDACTED]-1. SCP [REDACTED] is comprised of gaseous iron, aluminum, 4 unknown metallic elements, 3 unknown species of bacteria, and 1 unknown species of protozoa. The biological elements can be removed from both living subjects and inanimate objects by an extensive cleaning process, detailed in "Cleaning Process for SCP [REDACTED]".
When sentient life enters SCP [REDACTED], an instance of SCP [REDACTED]-1 appears. SCP [REDACTED]-1 is a humanoid figure standing approximately 4 meters tall, and has a similar stature of that to an adult human male. SCP [REDACTED]-1 is covered entirely by long black robes and is always seen holding an 18th century style golden lantern in its left hand, and a golden 18th Century style stop watch in its right hand. Any contact with SCP [REDACTED]-1 has a 100% mortality rate. When SCP [REDACTED]-1 is noticed by a subject, SCP [REDACTED]-1 will appear confused and raise the lantern as if to get a better look. Regardless of whether or not the subject maintains eye contact with SCP [REDACTED]-1, it will start the stopwatch. The stopwatch always counts down from 10, and once zero is reached, the subject is instantly terminated by an unknown force. No autopsy on any subject that has come into contact with SCP [REDACTED]-1 has been preformed (See Addendum [REDACTED]-2A). SCP [REDACTED]-1 will only appear if SCP [REDACTED] has made contact with the living tissue of a subject. See Addendum [REDACTED]-1B for more information. SCP [REDACTED]-1 appears to have some sort of reality bending properties, as it is only able to be viewed by one individual at a time, making capture impossible. SCP [REDACTED]-1 will also appear on any video device that is connected with a subject that has made contact with it. The audience of the video is not affected the same way as the subject in contact with SCP [REDACTED]. SCP [REDACTED]-1 seems to be producing SCP [REDACTED] in some way, but no visible evidence has been collected at the time of this documentation. SCP [REDACTED]-1 has not been observed to be affected by reality anchors or SCRAMBLE devices. The best way to avoid SCP [REDACTED]-1 is to avoid physical contact with SCP [REDACTED] and take all necessary precautions when entering containment.
Addendum [REDACTED]-1A
Equipment and Personnel: battery powered rover (Rover 194A231P111S) with 24 hours charge (1); 300 foot long cable (1); Digital Camera with appropriate audio recording technology (1); protective hazmat suits (3); P90 PDW (2); Loaded P90 Magazines (4); Researcher Dr. [REDACTED] (1); Security Member Todd "Heavy Handed" Mathews (1); Security Member Sarah "Lurker" Parker (1).
Purpose: Initial test of SCP [REDACTED] to allow for further exploration and to observe the anonymous properties of SCP [REDACTED] without the loss of personnel.
Green-lit by: Dr. [REDACTED], Senior Researcher, level 04 Clearance
Operation Plan: Rover 194A231P111S, nicknamed by site staff as "Green Dog", is to infiltrate the facility by use of a Researcher accompanied by 2 Security Personnel armed with the standard P90 personal defense weapon. The team has the call sign Alpha. All living personnel are equipped with hazmat suits and are instructed to wear them at all times. Rover "Green Dog" will travel the length of the cable and document the facility layout, obtain images for studying, sample SCP [REDACTED], and provide audio and video of all anomalous properties. If "Green Dog" is compromised, team Alpha is instructed to exit the facility and report to site administrator. Otherwise, team Alpha is instructed to document as much as possible, then remove themselves and "Green Dog" from the facility once the mission is complete.
Results: "Green Dog" reported back several images inside the facility. Most of which were already well understood by site command. The general layout of the facility was all that could be conveyed through the video. Images suggest that, if the layout of the building provided to site command by the Italian government is to be believed, the average viewing distance is 6 meters in any given direction, and does not seem to fluctuate. "Green Dog" found a single machine still operating, and upon closer examination, determined by Alpha team to be "Too goddamn complicated". Audio suggests that SCP [REDACTED] has some sort of audio-blocking quality, since no noise could be heard other than that of the rover. SCP [REDACTED] sample was collected and analyzed by site researchers. Upon removal, "Green Dog" and Alpha team were underwent extensive cleaning until all traces of SCP [REDACTED] were removed. Process detailed under "Cleaning Process for SCP [REDACTED]".
Notes: The epicenter of SCP [REDACTED] appears to be this machine, since the viewing distance decreased dramatically. No engineer on site could determine the language that most of the text on the machine was written in.
Addendum [REDACTED]-1B
Equipment and Personnel: D-Class 67583 (Referred to as Sam) (1); battery powered rover (Rover 194A231P111S) with 24 hours charge (1); Digital camera with accompanying audio recording device (1); M1911 Pistol (1); M1911 loaded magazines (2); 300 foot long cable (1); Shoulder-mounted video camera with accompanying audio device (1); Personal Communication Headset, Foundation Standard (1).
Purpose: Rover 194A231P111S, referenced as "Green Dog", will attempt to get more clear video and audio recordings on the believed epicenter of SCP [REDACTED], as well as take samples of SCP [REDACTED] to determine if the makeup of SCP [REDACTED] is different from the original sample taken by the drone earlier on in the expedition detailed in Addendum [REDACTED]-1A. D-Class 67583 is equipped with audio and video recording, as well as a simple Personal Communication Headset to relay information to Site Command. D-Class 67583 is considered expendable.
Green Lit by: Administrator [REDACTED], Level 04 Clearance
Operation Plan:D-Class 67583 is to guide "Green Dog" to the location of the machine, gather samples, audio recording and video recording, then return to Site Command. D-Class 67583 is to then be terminated, and Medical Professional Dr. [REDACTED] is to observe the effects of SCP [REDACTED] on the human body to determine reclassification from Euclid.

ROLL LOG*Note: For simplifcation, Site Command is referred to as "SC" and D-Class 67583 is refereed to as "Sam"
SC: D-Class 67583, please confirm you are inside the facility with all equipment and are receiving this transmission.
Sam:Listen, ya assholes. If you want to send me on a suicide mission, at least refer to me by my real name.
SC: Copy, Sam. Please confirm you ar-
Sam: Ya, ya I'm in. Jesus, it's really hard to move around in here. It's like walking through fucking… Honey, or some shit.
SC: Sam, please refrain from cussing. Your audio is being recorded and will be reviewed by site administrator following this test.
Sam: Tell the Administrator to go fuck himself. Sam chuckles to himself
SC: Copy Sam. Please proceed with the mission.
Several seconds pass as Sam fumbles with the rover, before setting it down and unwinding the coil. He proceeds to turn the machine on, and looks down at the controller. Site Command can view the rover's progress via the screen on the remote being recorded by the shoulder camera on Sam.
Sam: Alrighty, looks like this baby is up and running. I think. It moves fine. Where am I supposed to be going again?
SC: Proceed down the hallway approximately 45 meters. You should see a door with a broken metal name plate on the ground. That's the door used should maneuver the rover in.
Sam: Sure thing ya dickheads.
SC: Sam, you either stop the language or we will refer to you as your D-Class number again. Site Command would like to remind you that we are not your mothers, and shouldn't have to act as such.
Sam: Whatever.
Green Dog is put in motion, and rolls out of view of Sam's shoulder mounted camera. All that is visible from the perspective of Sam is the doorway in which he entered, and the wall behind him. The cable continues to slowly unravel into SCP [REDACTED] as Green dog moves down the hallway. Green Dog reaches the room and enters. It has been approximately 30 minutes since entry into the facility.
Sam: Alrighy, I'm in the room. What button for the samples again?
SC: Third down on the right hand side of the controller. Please push that and visually confirm functionality.
Sam: How the fuck do I-. Sorry, how can I do that if I can't see the thing?
SC: You should notice the arm of the rover moving via the onboard camera.
Silence. Site Command notices a figure emerge from SCP [REDACTED], just enough to see the outline of it. It appears humanoid, approximately 4 meters tall. Any other details are currently obstructed by the viewing distance in SCP [REDACTED]. Sam appears to have not noticed the figure yet. Site Command does not alert him to its presence.
Sam: Okay, I think it di-
At this point, the figure takes a step forward. Sam is silenced for a moment before speaking up.
Sam: Who the fuck are you? What the hell do you want?
SC: Sam, please refrain from interacting with it. Continue on the mission.
Sam: Shut the fuck up. I got this one. If you're a survivor, let me tell you the fuckers out there aren't any better than what is in here. You'll probably be your own SCP for a little bit. Or maybe eve-
Sam is silenced when the figure cocks its head, as if confused. It then lifts the lantern in its left hand as if to get a better look. Site Command has decided to see where this confrontation leads.
Sam: Listen man. If you're just gonna stand there and be all fuckin creepy and whatnot, then feel free. But if you continue to do this creepy shit Imma have to pop you.
The figure lowers its lantern and raises its head. Sam is seen taking out his M1911 and clicking the safety off. Site Command attempts to intervene.
SC: Sam, you will be terminated if you enga-
3 audible shots, followed by 3 flashes of light come from Sam's fire arm. The figure appears unaffected by both the sound and the shots. The figure lifts its right arm to reveal a stopwatch, and starts a countdown from 10. Sam fires off 4 more shots before he is out of ammo. The timer is at 2.
Sam: What the fuck is this thi-
Communication with Sam is permanently lost. The shoulder mounted camera, gun, and controller all tumble to the ground, clattering against the metal floor as they hit. The figure disappears during the time it takes for the camera to hit the ground. Site Command attempts to reach Sam to no avail, and the video cuts after the battery runs out. Sam is assumed KIA, rover "Green Dog" is assumed lost. Recovery team found no body, but managed to recover Rover "Green Dog"'s controller and all equipment on Sam during the encounter. "Green Dog", when prompted to move by the recovery team, did not respond to input.
Notes: Confirmation of one (1) anomalous entity, referenced henceforth as SCP [REDACTED]-1, also occupies the facility. Appears to only effect individuals who have been exposed to SCP [REDACTED]'s anomalous properties. It is assumed that, since Team Alpha had not bee exposed to SCP [REDACTED] directly, SCP [REDACTED]-1 was not triggered. It appears as though SCP [REDACTED]-1 only reacts to living tissue since Rover "Green Dog" was unaffected. Further tests are authorized by Site Command. Following the discovery, SCP [REDACTED] is pending Object reclassification from Euclid to Keter.
Addendum [REDACTED]-2A
Equipment and Personnel: MTF Unit Beta-7 "Maz Hatters"; Hazmat Suits (4); Personal Recording Equipment (Shoulder-Mounted) (5); Squad-Based communication systems (5); Cord-based Communication device (1); 600 Foot long communication cable (1); D-Class 3811 (1); Reality Anchor (2); Resilient Foundation Grade Rope and Bag (1).
Purpose: Recovery of Rover 194A231P111S. MTF Unit Beta-7 has been mobilized to attempt to capture SCP [REDACTED]-1. Due to the nature of SCP [REDACTED], MTF Beta-7 has been instructed to treat SCP [REDACTED] as an extreme biological and chemical hazard. In order to assist with the capture of SCP [REDACTED]-1, D-Class 3811 has been inserted as bait. MTF Beta-7 has been instructed to explore the facility as best as possible before returning with Rover 194A231P111S.
Greenlit By: Administrator [REDACTED], Level 04 Clearance.
Operation Plan: MTF Unit Beta-7 will explore the facility with D-Class 3811. Once an instance of SCP [REDACTED]-1 appears, Beta-7 will then proceed to capture the instance via the foundation grade ropes and bag. Depending on the aggressiveness SCP [REDACTED]-1 exhibits, Beta-7 either remove the instance from SCP [REDACTED] for further testing, or continue on the mission as planned. Following the capture, Beta-7 will attempt to recover Rover 194A231P111S. Beta-7 will then continue into the facility and explore for other instances of SCP [REDACTED]-1, other possible epicenters, or other anomalies. Beta-7 is advised to remain inside the Hazmat suits when inside SCP [REDACTED].

ROLL LOGB7-1: Alright, you know the drill. Check audio.
B7-2: Check.
Silence.
B7-1: VX, it's not on.
B7-3: Check.
B7-4: Check.
D-Class 3811: Uhhhh - Check!
B7-1: All received. As a reminder, the iron will interfere with the reception of these things. Stay close. Site command, you read?
SC: Copy Batra. Proceed when ready.
B7-1: Copy that Site Command. All right boys, lets get a move on.
D-Class: Is the-th-there a reason why you all have hazmat suits on, and I don't?
B7-1: Keep comms clear. I just follow orders.
Silence follows as the team proceeds into the facility. All cameras report functional and all is relayed through the audio cable back to Site Command. Approximately 10 minutes pass until the team arrives at the door that "Green Dog" last made contact.
B7-2: This has been awfully quiet so far. If the Founda-
B7-1: Site Command, confirm that you're seeing what I'm seeing?
SC: Confirmed B7-1. Assume Rover is lost. Proceed with the remainder of the mission.
B7-4: Yo Batra, are we sure this thing doesn't have some sort of corrosive properties?
B7-1: They had a few other people in here during testing. They all turned out fine after being in here a considerable amount of time. Lets not stay in here any longer than we have to, though.
B7-3: I like that game plan.
Silence follows as the group approaches the first stairwell leading downward. No instance of SCP [REDACTED]-1 has been spotted by any member of the team. Approximately 45 minutes has passed since entry.
B7-1: Vx, D-Class, you're with me. Tabun, Nic, hold the landing and make sure this cord doesn't get tangled on anything.
Acknowledgement from the team rings out across comms, and B7-4's camera watches the rest of the team slip into the unknown. B7-4 moves to take defensive positions on the stairwell, while B7-2 guides the cord through the open hatch door.
B7-1: Site Command, how long until visualization of SCP [REDACTED]-1?
SC: Wait one. Silence. Only interaction with instance occurred approximately 30 minutes into test, insertion was approximately 1 hour and 14 minutes ago.
B7-1: Copy that Site Command. Vx, you still have all the containment stuff?
B7-3: Yep, I got all of it. Still all neatly packed, but shit's heavy man.
B7-1: Figured. D-Class, how you hanging in there?
Silence. B7-1 turns around to see D-Class 3811 nearly as white as SCP [REDACTED], staring into the distance. Site Command has visual of SCP [REDACTED]-1 on D-Class 3811's shoulder mounted camera. All other cameras fail to pick up SCP [REDACTED]-1.
SC: B7-1, confirm visual on instance of SCP [REDACTED]-1, over.
B7-1: No visual contact has been made, Site Command. D-Class looks like hes seen a ghost, though.
SC: Batra, instance of SCP [REDACTED]-1 visible on D-Class 3811's camera. All other camera's fail to pick up the instance. D-Class is staring directly at the target.
B7-3: Batra I don't like where this is going. Not one bit. We can't even see the fucker?
B7-1: Vx, keep your cool. Deploy reality anchors in the direction of D-Class's gaze. Site Command, how far alo-
D-Class: Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck…. Shit what the hell is that thing? You guys gonna take care of that? It's so tall…
B7-1: How far along is the instance in its routine?
SC: SCP [REDACTED]-1 instance is currently peering for a better look. Command would like to remind you of the urgency of the mission at this point in time.
B7-1: Copy that Site Command. Deploying Reality Anchors.
As the anchors spark to life, SCP [REDACTED]-1 reaches for his stopwatch and triggers the timer.
SC: Reality Anchors have no effect on SCP [REDACTED]-1.
B7-1: Well that's just great. We need to remove the D-Class. Now. Let's move!
The three begin to run back towards the entrance to the stairwell until a large thump is heard. Site Command confirms that it is the D-Class falling. Video is lost upon contact with the ground. Unit stops running and looks back for D-Class. Equipment and clothing are visible, body is not. D-Class is assumed KIA.
B7-1: Shit. D-Class is lost. Site Command, permission to-
B7-3: FUCK!
B7-1: Vx, is everything okay?
B7-3: No. I ran into some girder or something. Glass is cracked, I'm not sure if there is a leak. Shit shit shit….
B7-1: Damnit. Site Command, do you copy?
SC: We are aware of the situation. Wait one.
B7-1: Lets see what we can do here, shall we?
3 minutes pass as Batra and Vx attempt to fix the crack in Vx's helmet. Static is heard, and Site Command finally answers.
SC: Confirm that SCP [REDACTED] has not compromised B7-3's suit. Is it difficult to move your head?
B7-3: It feels like honey in here. I can breathe just fine its a little difficult to move though. Sluggish, could've been from the hit against the wall.
SC: Copy that. B7-3's suit has been compromised. Immediate removal from SCP [REDACTED] is required.
B7-1: Copy that Site Command. Come on Vx, lets get out of here.
Notes: SCP [REDACTED]-1's behavior is erratic. SCP [REDACTED]-1 can only be viewed with someone who is in contact with SCP [REDACTED]. Removal of a subject from SCP [REDACTED] stops SCP [REDACTED]-1 from manifesting, appearing as though only able to manifest inside SCP [REDACTED]. MTF Unit Beta 7-2 is expected to make a full recovery. SCP [REDACTED] has now officially been reclassified from Euclid to Keter due to possible CK and XK Class End of the World Scenarios.

ADDENDUM 2-B HAS BEEN EXPUNGED BY 05 COUNCIL MEMBER [REDACTED]
Addendum: [REDACTED]-3A
Equipment and Personnel: Mature instance of Festuca perennis (1); Mature instance of Bos taurus (1); Mounted Camera (1).
Purpose: Explore SCP-[REDACTED]'s effect on non-human life.
Greenlit By: Administrator [REDACTED], Level 04 Clearance.
Operation Plan: Mount camera on the wall, and leave mature instance of Bos Taurus inside SCP [REDACTED] for 4 hours. Afterwards, do an autopsy on specimen to observe effect on tissue. Following first test, leave instance of Fesuca Perennis inside SCP [REDACTED] for 4 hours. Remove the plant from SCP [REDACTED], and observe the effect on plant tissue.
Results: Instance of Bos Taurus died approximately 2 hours into the experiment. Immediate removal ensured, and cause of death was determined to be from asphyxiation consistent with cases of carbon monoxide poisoning. SCP [REDACTED] appears to have a corrosive quality to it, as visible corrosion occurred on the molecular level. This would be consistent with the corrosion seen on "Green Dog", since the Rover was left in SCP [REDACTED] for approximately [DATA EXPUNGED]. Afterwards, instance of Fesuca Perennis was inserted into SCP [REDACTED]. 3 and a half hours into the reaction, the plant was effectively destroyed by corrosion. SCP [REDACTED] did not seem to have any effect on the respiratory functions of the plant.
Notes: No instance of SCP [REDACTED]-1 appeared, suggesting a need of sentient life in order to trigger a manifestation.
Addendum [REDACTED]-4A
Adequate information has be gathered for the Foundation to understand SCP [REDACTED]'s capabilities. All requests for entry into SCP [REDACTED] must be granted by Site Administrator [REDACTED]. 05 Council is currently determining if more testing is required.
