RE: Transferral to SCP-XXXX (attached)

Doctor Anborough,
I've been meaning to ask why the foundation would necessarily have classified this as an SCP in the first place, given that it sets a dangerous precedent for classification of unsolved problems in physics as SCPs, which would be impossible to contain and act as a consistent drain on our resources.
Additionally, I have some slight ethical objections to the blatant disrespect of scientists which is prominent throughout the nonsensical containment procedures.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Explained

Special Containment Procedures: Foundation assets embedded in academic research institutions will promote interpretations of modern physics, such as Hamiltonian Mechanics, which allow spontaneous Symmetry-breaking and CP-violation to occur within their framework. Additionally, MTF Gamma-5 has been authorized to execute procedure 501-Meyrin upon the occurrence of an XXXX-E event. No other containment procedures are necessary at the moment.
Description: SCP-XXXX refers to a property of matter which causes an anomalous effect known as CP-violation. This leads to a physical distinction between matter and antimatter, something which by all accounts should not exist. The occurrence of SCP-XXXX leads to the prevalence of matter over antimatter within our universe, which has remained an unresolved problem in modern physics since its discovery.
SCP-XXXX was discovered and widely publicized in the scientific community before the Foundation could properly control it, resulting in a widespread containment breach. containment efforts were abandoned in 1956, when it was proven that CP-violation could be demonstrably proven with experimental evidence in the case of the weak interaction, which resulted in the classification of SCP-XXXX provisionally being changed from Keter to Explained, of which it remains to this day. Foundation resources were then rededicated to reconciling our current theories of physics with CP-violation, with varying results.

Doctor Stephens,
The foundation has its reasons for the continued classification of SCP-XXXX as an SCP, although they are below your clearance level. You will do well to recall that. Remember, I have personally appointed you to dedicated research into SCP-XXXX due to your distinguished academic career. Do not let me down.
