SCP-XXXX in an unexposed state

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX and all objects inside of it are to be kept locked inside a warehouse storage unit at Site ██. Physical contact with and/or moving SCP-XXXX is strictly forbidden unless permission is granted by an individual with Level 2 Security Clearance or higher. All objects within SCP-XXXX are not to be taken out of it under any circumstances. Any personnel caught disobeying these rules will be immediately terminated without question.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an orange shoe box containing a modified Adidas logo on the side, which says: "please don't touch the contents" instead of the company name. Inside the shoe box, there is a pair of Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Blue Tint" sneakers, which will be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1 from now on. The earliest known record of SCP-XXXX originates from a clothing factory outside of Guangzhou, China. The details are largely unknown, but on ██.██.████, █ workers have been reported dead a few days after handling a shipment containing SCP-XXXX. According to the account of the factory manager, after the incident, one of the workers was ordered to attach the warning label onto SCP-XXXX and lock it away in a cupboard in the factory basement, never to be seen by anyone until a foreign organisation agrees to take it away. The Foundation was alerted to the existence of SCP-XXXX █ months and █ days after the alleged incident.

When SCP-XXXX-1 comes in physical contact with a human organism, different clothing materials will grow out of the organism's skin until they arrange themselves in a pattern resembling regular clothes. Physical contact with any known material that is touching both the human organism and SCP-XXXX-1 still causes this effect, regardless of the material's thickness. The only known material that can negate this effect is SCP-XXXX material, which is molecularly composed of ██████████, found earlier in ███-███.

This process occurs in 4 phases:

Phase 1: Lasts approximately 5 seconds. All non-organic matter touching the subject's skin disintegrates.

Phase 2: Lasts approximately 15 seconds. The subject is completely nude and its skin still possesses disintegrative properties, albeit to a much lesser extent.

Phase 3: Lasts approximately 2 minutes. Disintegrative properties of the subject's skin cease to function. Different fabric-like growths can be observed on the subject's skin. The growths are made of different materials, with cotton, wool, silk, flax, ramie, denim, leather, fur, rubber, plastic, and several petrochemical-derived materials occurring most commonly. The type and arrangement of a growth depends on the body part of the subject it grows on.

Phase 4: Lasts approximately 3 minutes. The growths begin to connect to each other, forming regular clothing items such as pants, shirts, jackets, and shoes. All instances of subjects who have successfully went through the fourth phase will be collectively referred to as SCP-XXXX-2 and the material covering most of their skin will be referred to as SCP-XXXX-3.

All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are psychologically and physiologically unaffected by changes in their appearance at first. All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 also report no feelings of either pain or distress during their transformation. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 comes in physical contact with another human organism's exposed skin, the organism transforms into an instance of SCP-XXXX-2. This effect can be negated by any non-organic material. All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 cannot take off SCP-XXXX-3. SCP-XXXX-3 blocks both the anal and the urethral orifice. Any attempt to create an artificial orifice will result in failure since SCP-XXXX-3 regenerates quickly and the regeneration speed of a specific spot on SCP-XXXX-3 increases proportionally to the amount of damage it has taken. All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will die a few days after their transformation, either from severe internal bleeding caused by a burst urethra/kidney or from acute toxic waste intoxication caused by the build-up of toxic waste in the body.

SCP-XXXX-3 has no discernible patterns other than that it is always composed of branded clothing. There are exactly 10 brands that appear as SCP-XXXX-3. These brands, in alphabetical order, are: Adidas, Air Jordan, Armani, Bape, Calvin Klein, CDG Play, Gucci, Nike, Off-White, and Supreme. SCP-XXXX-3 will either disintegrate or grow depending on the temperature around itself. At approximately 35 degrees Celsius, everything except underwear disintegrates completely, and at approximately 10 degrees Celsius, SCP-XXXX-3 consists of shoes, pants, 2 shirts, and a jacket. Further deviations in temperature do not affect the composition of SCP-XXXX-3. All articles of clothing except underwear also disintegrate when the instance of SCP-XXXX-2 wearing them enters REM sleep. Different articles of clothing regrow when the instance of SCP-XXXX-2 enters deep sleep or wakes up. Microscopic analysis of SCP-XXXX-3 reveals that the edges of SCP-XXXX-3 contain molecularly small hook-like and knife-like structures which penetrate the membranes of skin cells and thus permanently fuse SCP-XXXX-3 with skin cells. This blocks any orifices covered by SCP-XXXX-3, rendering urination and defecation impossible.
