You should not be here, reading this. However, take your time to do so, seeing as you have breached security already anyways. The guys with the amnestics are behind the doors of the room you're in right now, so you can quench your thirst for knowledge, if you wish to. Otherwise, just go outside and tell them you'll cooperate. They're nice people so they will understand.
Anyways, as you already know, UVB-76 is another odd and weird radio station. Nothing that much, right? But you might wonder, just why did we classify it as a SDWUA object if it isn't even anomalous in the first place? This addendum is the answer.
We discovered the station even before the early 70's, or during the summer of 1969, to be precise. We were also wondering why something like that would be active, the major theories being using it as a dead hand mechanism or a station through which coded messages could be sent. The first thing we did was ask the Russian government, but they sent back a message with the statement that the station was NOT, in fact, set up by them. We didn't classify it as a SCP or a SDWUA back then, we just closed the radio frequency off and let it be since it didn't hurt anyone. We just made an agreement with the government guys to let us know if they found anything.
However, about 4 years later, we got a call from the government that the station was active once again, despite our efforts to cover it up. We classified it as a Safe SDWUA and covered up the frequency again, but the station kept reappearing and reappearing. Sometimes it changed frequencies, sometimes it did not. It even got the ability to cause minor hallucinations to the people who accidentally listened to the infamous Buzzer. We got thousands of reports of drivers who died while listening to their radios. Can you imagine?
So we found the source. Yes, we did. The above document is changed for privacy purposes. We found the source of the radio station. It was an old, dirty building with a tall tower that stood out like a huge skyscraper in the middle of the forests, in the middle of nothing, in some random part of Russia. We found the broadcasting studio, and we destroyed it. Burnt it all down, until nothing but rubble was left inside.
The station stopped working. We were relieved we had potentially saved even more lives. We weren't really part of the Foundation anymore though. We broke the SCP code. But nobody cared about that. All was well, right? We still contained some anomalies, but this one we neutralized for our own sake, and humanity's. All was well, all was well.
Until it reappeared. Our Site's personal MTF squad went crazy when they heard the news. But we kept destroying it. Because we needed all to be well. All to be well. All was well. All is well. All is well, right? Nyet. Now we can't find it. We can't find her. We can't find her to destroy her.
It's us who she's probably huntin' right now. We are the next targets. It's a shame - a MTF so weak that it has only one purpose now. To reassure her constantly if the people assigned there don't do that. "Santa's Little Helpers" now. We're nothing but shadows of our former selves. We used to be a great team. Aleksandr, George, Chucks and I, right? Christ, it's been so long. But enough with the rant. We're waiting for her to start.
Now she counts. And if she starts again some time, God forbid you don't assure her that it's okay. Because it is she that needs to know that…all is well.
