Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX cannot be contained.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sub-tropical archipelago that spans an area of approximately 5987 kilometers², and situated in latitude 30.14512718 and longitude -175.078125 in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and in the midst of the continent of Asia and North America. The Flora and Fauna found on SCP-XXXX seem to be millions of years old and contain species previously thought extinct and creatures sharing similar characteristics, that have never been discovered before. SCP-XXXX seems to have its own magnetic field and cannot be identified on radar or satellite due to a presumably anomalous effect. A Site has been built (hereafter referred to as Site-██). The composition of SCP-XXXX is mostly of rare earth metals and a high amount of rhodium also a few minerals found commonly in asteroids and celestial bodies along with ore deposits of gold, iron and a number of diamonds and this shows that SCP-XXXX was formed due to a meteor. 2 Cargo ships are to be docked at Site-██ and additional staff and MTF are to standby ready to be sent to Site-09 from purposes from mining, equipment shortages, to search and rescue operations.

Endemic Species: The following are organisms believed to be only present within SCP-XXXX

"Venom-Hounds"	(lupus venenum)	A lupine organism and one of the apex predators in SCP-XXXX, Venom-Hounds hunt in packs of up to 4. Ears are larger than normal wolves which enhance their hearing capabilities. Venom-Hounds have exterior sacs of the poison of a mixture of diluted Carborane and Strychnine surrounding the head and neck over the fur. These sacs have been observed to be similar to a member of the family Dendrobatidae. They are known to injure and tire their prey until they can no longer put up any resistance. If threatened or during hunts, the Venom-Hounds can spit an extremely strong and acidic toxin out of the sacs or orally bite with two fangs similar to members of the family of Serpentes. These are highly intelligent, yet aggressive organisms that have been known to kill anything that it can lay it's fangs into, including humans. They can also glide short distances with wing-like appendages similar to a Pteromyini(Flying Squirrel). These wings help make the Toxi-hounds more aerodynamic and efficient hunters. When an instance of (lupus venenum) dies the toxins in its sacs will dissolve its body this can be used against it by shooting over small distances or piercing its sac.
"Treehuggers"	Populus Lignum	In its larval stage which lasts for 6 weeks, Treehuggers resemble a member of a family of Chilopoda and have a rounded or flattened head, bearing a pair of antennae at the forward margin. They have a pair of elongated mandibles, and two pairs of maxillae. The first pair of maxillae form the lower lip and bear short palps. The first pair of limbs stretch forward from the body to cover the remainder of the mouth. These limbs, or maxillipeds, end in sharp claws and include venom glands that help the animal to kill or paralyze its prey after. They mature through a series of developmental stages known as instars at the end of each instar, the larva molts, the old cuticle splits and the new cuticle expands. When the larva is fully grown, hormones such as prothoracicotropic hormone (PTTH) are produced. At this point, the larva stops feeding and begins "wandering" in the quest for a suitable pupation site, often the inside of a tree or other concealed location. There it spins a button of keratin around its body most of the tissues and cells of the larva are broken down inside the pupa, as the constituent material is rebuilt into the imago. This pupa can almost grow to be 4 feet tall, almost twice as big as the larva. In its adult stage, the Treehugger is drastically different from its pupal and larval stage, the adult stage of the Treehugger seems to strangely lose its reproductive capabilities and due to this, the larvas are the only stage of the Treehugger which can produce young ones. The adult treehuggers are humanoid organisms with needle-like appendages that have hook-like growths at the end of their arms to grasp and hunt creatures, Treehuggers also have skin texture that resembles the trees on SCP-XXXX that helps them camouflage by attaching their bodies to the trees to hunt prey. They take their prey after catching it and bury it into a nearby tree present on SCP-XXXX. The acidic properties of the tree sap of the trees of SCP-XXXX break down the flesh of the captured animal. With the acid breaking down the animal into a kind of jelly which the Treehugger then absorbs, after feeding the Treehugger will only require sustenance after one month. The larvae stage of the Treehugger can lay as much as 25 eggs which are laid in the inside of the tree. These eggs and many larvae are used as a source of nourishment by the various predators of the island. Adult Treehuggers have a lifespan of hundreds of years.
Thermo-Deer	thermo-venatione cervorum	A Deer-like animal, Thermo-Deers are one of the prey items in the food chain of SCP-XXXX. The horns of Thermo-Deers are twice as bigger than the average deer and have 6 appendages instead of 4. There are no eyes present on the Thermo-Deers and instead of eyes have infrared receptors present in flaps on their heads that can be unfurled at will. This infrared vision gives the Thermo-Deers impeccable vision in the night and day which helps them get an edge over predators. Thermo-Deers have weak hearing capabilities leaving them fragile to organisms with noise dampening adaptions like those present in Venom-Hounds and to surprise ambushes from the Treehuggers with their camouflaged skin.

Addendum XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX seems to anomalously move approximately 10 cm per year and is projected to reach North America in year 2███. How SCP-XXXX moves is unknown as scans do not show any lifeform living under SCP-XXXX. Moreover, the movement of SCP-XXXX is not influenced by tectonic plate movements

Addendum XXXX-2: Site-██ has been established to further investigate the properties of SCP-XXXX. Scans of the island indicate the presence of life forms on and around the archipelago. It has also been revealed that there is an excessive amount of hydrogen cyanide present on the island. It is assumed that this is produced by the local flora and that the entire ecosystem depends on it. For any future exploration missions, all mobile task force personnel must be equipped with gas masks.

Exploratin log XXXX-1
After losing all contact with a ship that was supposed to carry out a mining it is assumed that the ship has sunk. A MTF team is sent to salvage important data from the ship, that canhelp explain what happened in its last momenets and also to rescue survivors, if any.

Addendum XXXX-3: Due to evidence forth by Exploration log 1 there is a massive sea creature living near SCP-XXXX.

Exploration log XXXX-2: At 00:37 on ██/██/20██ the remains of a human male were found on SCP-XXXX by MTF Gamma-6 ("Deep Feeders"). A full autopsy on the corpse was performed, and the remains were found to be of Researcher ██████ who was sent to SCP-XXXX on ██/██/20██ to oversee a rare earth mineral mining operation and soon the mining crew along with Researcher ██████ were soon assumed missing.

Day 1:
This was supposed to be an in and out mining job. We did not even get a chance to dock our boat before we were attacked by, something… it capsized our ship. I couldn't find any other survivors except this miner Peter, he is out attempting to salvage some of the wreckage. He was already successful in finding some of the food supply.
Call it a curse, but some of the lab equipment did survive the incident and wash up on shore since I might be stuck here for a long time I might as well do what I do best, research.

Day 5:
This Island is a haven for Taxonomists and Phylogenetics (if I used that word right) there are creatures here just waiting to be discovered! But sooner or later we are gonna run into trouble. It's better not to overstay our welcome. The sea-level suddenly receded right after we got here for some reason.
Peter and I have managed to gather materials of local vegetation and build a temporary shelter on the side of the beach. We need to get a 24/7 fire together, not cause it's cold but rather to signal any rescue ships.
I can't stop thinking about that creature. It was GARGANTUAN. I think I will name the creature "Daisy" (Cause why the fuck not). I asked Peter for names, he says he doesn't care as long as it is something "Cute".

Day 7:
Halle-fucking-lujah! We have alcohol! Now we have fuel for our fire AND fuel to waste ourselves. Look, I am a very simple man. I am not very articulate or fancy and quite frankly this isn't a situation where we can be picky either. It ain't some 50-year-old aged scotch, but it will do. Who would have thought that there is alcohol LITERALLY flowing through the veins of these trees? This place never ceases to amaze me.
Peter finally opened up, all it took was a couple of shots of pure ethanol. He dropped the tough act, cried like a baby. He misses his 2 daughters. I gave him some hope. Assured him the foundation would definitely not miss out on stuff like this. It helped boost his morale and I felt good too. All I can do now is hope my hope wasn't false.

Day-8
We woke up to a rather pleasant surprise. There is nothing like lying down on your bed and listen to the patter of rain, well… not unless IT IS RAINING FUCKING NITROGEN!!! And if this wasn't bad enough guess what Ethanol and nitrogen combine to make? DING DING DING that's right! HYDROGEN CYANIDE!!! Good thing we were camping at the beach, AWAY from the trees.
Oh good lord please give me the strength to deal with this Bullshit. It's funny how atheists like me always end up crawling back to god begging for his mercy. Mabey he gets sadistic pleasure off of that. Mabey I am just too much of a cowherd. Anyways, I ain't Plato or Confucius (was that his name?) to be talking about philosophy.
I should just stick to what I am good at. Well on the bright side apart from hydrogen cyanide, the reaction does produce pure water. Something that the local plant life doesn't depend on. It all drains into a lake inside the island. At least we have an inexhaustible source of water. Peter managed to make some crude gas masks from some plastic bottles and a dust mask. Peter says this skill is essential for miners when they are working deep down. Especially when seniors don't give a shit about work safety.

Day-10
Peter was coming back to come after a water run when he saw something peculiar. Peter said he thought he saw something like a deer from afar. When he tried approached it the thing just spread its wings like a fucking butterfly! It didn't have any eyes or ears…just a mouth. Peter said he tripped and was too afraid to get up. He thought he was a goner. When it just ignored him. He ran like crazy. He also said that while he was fetching the water he saw the outline of a wolf. We have to get out of here. We are not alone on this island.

Day-13
Fuck you! That's right fuck you! You stupid piece of shit. You're probably some task-force personnel who has just found this journal after we have died. We have been stranded for at least half a month on this godforsaken island and you must have just happened to have come right after we died, didn't you! Do you think you are badasses? I hope you sleep well at night knowing that you couldn't help a poor man meet his children! God! Neither of us can think straight from this morning, not since that fucking low pitched ringing noise coming from the coastline. Peter says he doesn't hear anything. Mabey I have had too much to drink last night.
IT HAS BEEN 6 HOURS! 6 FUCKING HOURS SINCE THE TIME I ARE HEARING THAT STUPID RINGING! AND I SWEAR IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE! I KEEP HEARING RANDOM SCREAMS, SEEING DEAD RELATIVES! THIS ISLAND IS PLAYING GAMES WITH ME! I FEEL LIKE MY EARS ARE BLEEDING BUT I CAN'T TELL IF THAT'S A HALLUCINATION AS WELL! THAT IS IT WE ARE GONNA MOVE! WE HAVE TO MIGRATE INLAND! I DON'T CARE HOW DANGEROUS IT IS, WE ARE GONNA DO IT!

Day-14
We were extremely lucky to have survived last night. I can't recall much but after we dove in head first into the jungle, we started slowly losing consciousness. It was then that we found these cave systems. This system is like a maze. We haven't ventured deep. Not yet at least. Thankfully this was not a den for some abomination. In fact there except for some really primitive oxygen-producing bacteria (gram negative of course), there were no creatures. I am no biologist but I can tell that these aren't unique to this Island. I am sure that bacteria like these still exist at the mouth of underwater thermal vents. Anyways, I have a theory on why we couldn't get our shit together yesterday. I think the rising water level and the low pitched ringing sound had something to be with the creature. The massive fucker that just pushed the ship aside like it was a fat dude chasing Nachos. God, I want nachos. Anyways, back onto the main topic. I think Daisy circles the island every 15 or so days. While doing so it raises the water level AND screeches hard producing an infra-sound in sufficiently high levels to induce panic. I remember this from a case study about the "Dylatlov incident" that the foundation handled all those years ago. The reason only I heard these infra-sounds could be because of my hearing-aid malfunctioning.

Day-16
This cave system must be spanning over a tremendous area. It is just ripe for exploration we have our gas masks just in case now all we need to do a grow a pair and actually explore this damn place. I told Peter that this place was probably crawling with creatures waiting to be discovered never seen before! That there could be creatures that have been preserved from millions of years ago. I don't know why, but that seemed to give him cold feet. We have to get back to the beach, it is the best bet we have got, to be spotted and extracted from this tropical torment. Tomorrow After some exploring and resource gathering, we will make a break for the beach.
While I was lethargically staring at these monotonously mundane walls, I think I may be on to something… I briefly remember our briefing (Yes, I know I am very articulate), But I do recall that the total area of these Islands is around 6000km². Now assuming that this archipelago is a perfect circle, then the circumference should be around 274km. Considering Daisy circled back in 15 or so days, we can say Daisy moves around 18km per day. The time Daisy took to pass us stationary observers was more or less a day so the time it took to cover its own length was about a day. Hence I can conclude that Daisy is about 18km long. Oh, boy Daisy is one beefy gal. I We haven't encountered much of the fauna on this island, but if its conditions allow something like Daisy to exist then I am not so curious after all.

Day-17
Well shit. That was something. We left cave painting along each hallway in case we needed to retrace our steps. We didn't have any sort of flashlights, thank god for bioluminescent limestone deposits or whatever that was. We didn't see any signs of extraterrestrial intelligent life. (Peter owes me 5 bucks) But GOOD FUCKING GOD! We found something much scarier. It was a fossil of something I…AM…GLAD IS DEAD! We uncovered a behemoth. How can something like this even exist without completely destroying the ecosystem?!?! The skull itself was [TBD] long! There were 3 vertebrae attached to this thing each being [TBD] wide & [TBD] across. 6 sockets for what I can only assume are its eyes and mouth. Judging by the shape of its teeth, I would say that this was definitely NOT a gentle giant. If this thing is even vaguely related to Daisy then, I can assure you that Daisy must still be an infant. GOD! I would give ANYTHING to be able to carbon date this sleeping beauty. I am not sure how this thing even got here. The cave system keeps on going. We think its time to curb our little expedition mission and head back. It's gotten late & neither of us wants to take our chances in the darkness. We will head back first thing in the morning.

Day-18
GODDAMN IT THOSE BASTARDS GOT PETER! THOSE FUCKING RANCID DOGS! We were just on our way to the beach when we decided to make a quick water stop. Then… then we saw them. They came in a pack of four. They started circling us before we could make a run for it. Peter tried fending them off with a walking stick he had made. BIG MISTAKE. They leaped at him. I wanted to help, but…all I could do is watching as those things ripped him apart. I can still remember his screams as a fled… LIKE A COWHERD! No, I AM NOT GOING TO SIT HERE AND ACCEPT MY DEFEAT. Peter had a family, I don't. I don't really care what happens to me, I am going to put a pointy rock at the end of my stick, and impale those cunts. It's time to show these Bastards who is boss, I swear Peter I will kill them no matter what it takes, I will avenge you…
It's done I have attached them together, I know that there is a better way to go about this but I don't really care. I wish I had something profound to say, I wish Peter had something profound to say… All I heard were screams. I have nothing more to say other than If you are reading this then please get away from this place as soon as possible even if it means swimming and taking your chances with the Leviathan. Exploration log XXXX-3
After a successful land exploration mission, preparations for an underwater expedition were made and a crew was put together. A small submarine with a capacity of 4 people was to be used to get closer to SCP-XXXX from site 9. The crewmembers would then alight from the submarine and approach SCP-XXXX. They would then collect specimens in a specially designed specimen tank and put down a device called [Coolname]. Which is trap made out of [TBD], in the path of SCP XXXX-1 (The Leviathan), in order to terminate it. After the exploration is finished, the crew would board the submarine back and return to Site-██.

Addendum XXXX-4: Through various exploration missions it has been revealed that the reason behind SCP-XXXX housing creatures that show no sign of originating from the earth is due to an extremely early evolutionary divergence due to which the island housed this ecosystem of creatures.
and some of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties. SCP-XXXX seems to have housed creatures for millions of years as carbon dating of the skeletal mass of the creatures of XXXX seems to show evidence of this. The life on SCP-XXXX is radically different from life on earth as they seem to be based on an isotope of carbon that is not present anywhere on the planet, the structure of the DNA of these creatures also show that instead of a 2 stranded formation, the DNA has triple helix strands, which has allowed an unfettered amount of genetic mutations. of all living creatures present in SCP-XXXX.
