SCP-XXXX, when placed in water
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 2x2x2 meter waterproof room. Each day, it will be fed 8.5 kg of bones, from any animal. Should the measured volume of SCP-XXXX exceed 6 litres, it must immediately be fed 8.5 kg of bone, and any overseeing researchers should be notified as soon as possible. Class-D personnel that perform this change must have all of their fingers and toes amputated.
No personnel other than Class-D are to be permitted near SPC-XXXX at any time, for any reason.

Should the measured volume of SCP-XXXX exceed 6 litres, it must immediately be fed 8.5 kg of bone, and any overseeing researchers should be notified as soon as possible. Class-D personnel that perform this change must have a bone-related chronic illness.
No personnel other than Class-D are to be permitted near SPC-XXXX at any time, for any reason.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a sentient mass of liquid, composed of approximately one part bone marrow to one part human blood plasma. It was found in a remote swamp of ██████, █████ ███████ after a standard Foundation sweep of the area found a body with bones missing, yet no damage otherwise. An entire unit was lost from the initial discovery, which took place 05/15/████. Three men were lost on the recovery mission, which took place on 05/18.
SCP-XXXX appears to have no senses other than sight. Through unknown means, it also appears to have knowledge of the current health of subjects. Its method of locomotion and source of sight can not be determined. SCP-XXXX can adhere to most surfaces, including walls and ceilings. Currently, the only known materials it cannot adhere to are glass, ice and wax, though testing is not being done to further knowledge on this.
SCP-XXXX, upon gaining line of sight of a human's finger or toe nails, will immediately move underneath the nails and enter the blood stream. It then, over the course of approximately 5 minutes, will consume the bones of the subject. This will happen even when the subject's hands and feet are covered with protective equipment, including equipment that was thought to be waterproof. The fastest speed it has ever moved at is approximately 300 m/s. SCP-XXXX has never attacked any living creatures that do not have nails, but will eat their bones, if already deceased.
SCP-XXXX shows extreme dislike towards the disabled, and attempts from an amputee to touch it resulted in SCP-XXXX drowning the subject., SCP-XXXX has never shown any signs of starvation, nor has it ever excreted any substance.
SCP-XXXX will grow in size over time, and the blood plasma to bone marrow ratio increases drastically. Its volume doubles every 16 hours. Feeding it 8.5 kg of bone reduces its size by a factor of 2.5, and thus 8.5 kg of bone every 24 hours will keep it at a "constant" size. Over the course of 24 hours in this schedule, it will go from 2 litres to 5 litres, assuming it starts at 2. If unfed for a week, SCP-XXXX would grow to approximately 2048 litres, or 2 cubic meters.
Addendum XXXX-A:SCP-XXXX can break through seemingly anything by creating extreme pressure on either side of the object. It can only do this when it has access to both sides of a given object.
Addendum XXXX-B:SCP-XXXX appears to have some form of low intelligence, and becomes complacent (yet not docile) when given toys to play with.
Addendum XXXX-C:Below are all released test transcripts. Others have been withheld for either brevity or security.
Below is the transcript of Test XXXX-IV
██/██/████-Separation Test
D-4513 is a 25-year-old female with osteoporosis. She enters SCP-XXXX's cell with two stainless steel water bottles, each containing a small pile of chicken bones.
D-4513: What the ████ is that thing?
Dr. ██████: Please place the bottles on the floor and open them.
D-4513 does what was requested.
Dr. ██████: Take one step back and be ready to close the bottles.
As soon as D-4513 steps back, SCP-XXXX separates into two pools of liquid and enters both bottles.
D-4513: Should I close th-
Dr. ██████: Yes, now please.
D-4513 closes the left bottle quickly, and then starts to cap the right one. Suddenly, the two bottles move together, slamming onto either side of her hand.
D-4513: [REDACTED] IT'S CRUSHING MY HAND!!!
Dr. ██████: What happened? Can you describe the amount of pressure you feel?
D-4513 YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND [REDACTED]
D-4513's hand [DATA EXPUNGED], and the bottles crash together. D-4513 rushes to the airlock.
D-4513: OPEN THE ████ DOOR I NEED A MEDIC [REDACTED]
Dr. ██████: (sighs) Alright, please try to stay calm, 4513.
The airlock closes and D-4513 exits. Meanwhile, the bottles begin to bend. About 20 seconds later, the bottles snap, sending shrapnel around the room. SCP-XXXX appears unharmed.
A MTF was on a mission in (insert) and a bunch of the soldiers died in their sleep, with only one remaining, and the few that were on night watch.
The idea is that the guy who survived has insomnia and will kill anyone who is asleep in his vicinity. He believes that something else is killing everyone, and that is why he is always trying to stay awake.
I need help with:
-Is he possessed by something, or is he the actual anomaly?
-Is this idea good, or interesting. Why or why not?
-More details for the story. Is it important where they were? I don't know, that's why I'm asking.

Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently stored with the vending machines in Staff Break Room C at Site-73. All personnel are permitted to use SCP-XXXX for exchanging currency, but other testing requires approval from the current Head Researcher of SCP-XXXX, whose information is to be posted above SCP-XXXX.
All currency tests should be logged in the logbook above SCP-XXXX, and unwanted foreign currency may be placed in the basket on top of the machine.
The maintenance hatch on SCP-XXXX has been affixed with a 4-digit code lock, which should have its combination changed after every use. All testing that utilizes the maintenance hatch should be done in a blast resistant, airtight room, with supervision of at least 1 Level-4 Personnel.
Only Class-D Personnel are permitted to be inside the chamber of SCP-XXXX while the door is closed.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a change machine with no markings, other than the word "CHANGE" in capital letters on the front. On the front face of the machine is a large maintenance door with a key lock, which could not be opened with any available methods. As of Experiment XXXX-I, the door has been opened and affixed with a digital code lock. (See Addendum XXXX-B.)
SCP-XXXX, contrary to most change machines, has inputs and outputs for both coins and bills. When currency is inserted, the machine will output currency nearly equal to the input, in current exchange rate. The proportions, denomination, and distribution between bills and coins will typically be different from the input, and no recognizable patterns have been found.
See Addendum XXXX-C for test logs.
Addendum XXXX-A: SCP-005 was used to open the maintenance door on SCP-XXXX, to reveal that the chamber inside was empty. All attempts to measure the the inside size of the chamber have failed, as it is seemingly impossible to reach the walls or the ceiling, even though they appear to be close. Visual analysis of the chamber has determined that it should be 32 cm tall and 23 cm wide on each side, though this is not measurable by physical means. The opening of the chamber has the same dimensions of 32 x 23 cm, and is physically measurable.
Because of this spacial anomaly, objects inside SCP-XXXX can appear to be larger than the walls, yet not making any contact with them. When standing inside the chamber, subjects often experience extreme nausea because of this effect. In 14% of cases, subjects have blacked out or lost consciousness.
Addendum XXXX-B: This addendum will detail the function(s) of the maintenance hatch on SCP-XXXX.
Entering any item into the compartment of SCP-XXXX, then closing the door and opening it again, will replace the item with another of exactly the same mass, to the highest precision measurable by current means. The item has no recognizable patterns, and has varied from the original in terms of material, state of matter, and temperature. The following properties have shown no variance to date: Momentum and mass, and, consequently, velocity and weight. SCP-XXXX has not accepted, nor output light, sound, or other forms of waves.
The interior of SCP-XXXX's chamber is a vacuum, and will maintain that state, unless an airtight container is used to insert gas into the chamber. The interior acts as if it is a liquid, "pushing" gasses outside the opening. Liquids and solids of all kinds remain unaffected by this property.
Addendum XXXX-C:

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX-1 instances are currently stored in a modular living facility, where they are able to live as a community semi-autonomously. There are no visual or audio monitoring systems inside the facility, and none are to be added. Food is delivered weekly through a two-stage airlock, and water and electricity are provided from outside the facility.
The facility is wired to detect any breaches in the outer shell, and in the event of a breach the containment area is to be repaired immediately from the outside. Entrance into the facility by any personnel is prohibited. In the event that the population is deemed too large for the current facilities, additional modules can be added on without entering the facility.
In the event of a containment breach, or discovery of additional SCP-XXXX-1 instances, the first available MTF unit should be dispatched for re-containment. The MTF unit will be equipped with deafening earmuffs, with built in communications systems. MTF personnel who can read lips should be dismissed from this mission.
No communication is permitted with SCP-XXXX-1 instances; written, verbal, or otherwise, except when intentionally creating additional instances for testing purposes.
Due to a recent large-scale containment breach at Site-██, further research on SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1 is prohibited. We've recently instated a new containment protocol which should be indefinitely sufficient. -Dr. B██████
Description:
SCP-XXXX is an anomaly which causes humans to become SCP-XXXX-1. Communication with SCP-XXXX-1 instances turns individuals into SCP-XXXX-1 within 24 hours, on average.
SCP-XXXX in reality is an info-hazardous anomaly. Communication with SCP-XXXX-1 is not required in order to "turn" individuals, but often results in such. The description of SCP-XXXX is intentionally left misleading and vague, in order to prevent additional creation of SCP-XXXX-1 instances. It is to be noted that the "trigger" for turning is not a particular phrase, but instead a particular idea.
SCP-XXXX-1 are humanoid entities which maintain the personality, memories, and other traits of their previous human counterparts. They are characterized by a glassing over of the eyes, and a constant mention of SCP-XXXX, which they refer to as "God", or "The Provider." SCP-XXXX-1 instances seem to possess knowledge of their "infection" by SCP-XXXX, but they view it in positive light and grow hostile when it is stated otherwise. SCP-XXXX-1 will intentionally attempt to turn individuals into SCP-XXXX-1, given the opportunity.
SCP-XXXX-1 instances additionally possess the ability to communicate with each other telepathically. They have referred to this as "The Provider's Gift," or "Our Gift."
It was stupid of the previous researchers to prohibit research. We've been containing these things for years now, without making any attempt to improve the situation; all because a few people were scared of containment breaches. They never even tried using amnestics, which could easily be a cure-all for SCP-XXXX-1. All we need to do is take the right precautions to prevent containment breaches, instead of living in fear. -Dr. Newhall, 2 months ago
My request to re-initiate research on SCP-XXXX has been approved. We will be starting projects tomorrow. -Dr. Newhall, yesterday
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Neutralized
Special Containment Procedures:
No containment procedures are necessary at this time. All witnesses have been administered amnestics according to protocol. The initial damage on the building was covered up as an accidental explosion caused by a gas leak.
Description:
SCP-XXXX was a regular elevator in a Hilton hotel which was modified to become anomalous by an individual identifying as 'Muster.' SCP-XXXX was initially discovered after being neutralized when two civilians entered the elevator, presumably to ascend to a higher floor in the building, then unknown events caused the elevator to accelerate far beyond normal speeds. The high speeds caused SCP-XXXX to break through the roof of the building and ultimately fall back down, resulting in the death of both passengers and one more casualty.
Posted on the front of the first floor elevator door was a note reading "Elevator slow. Fixed it for you. -Muster" Based on the damage done to the roof, it was estimated that the elevator reached an acceleration at or above 30 g. Because of the extreme damage sustained by SCP-XXXX prior to retrieval, very little knowledge about its composition is known. SCP-XXXX notably had two graphene-composed tanks, which possibly contained some form of pressurized propellant.
The CCTV in the hotel building captured a figure performing maintenance on the elevator three hours before the anomalous event occurred. A man wearing a mechanic suit entered the building at 12:00 AM, with a cart containing what appeared to be both normal tools, and materials that could not be related to a known purpose. He talked to the receptionist for one minute and twelve seconds, before taking his tools to the elevator, where he was out of camera view. Twenty one minutes later, he left the building. The receptionist, when interviewed, said his name tag read all of the following: "Martin, Mark, Murdock, Merlow." The receptionist did not seem to be aware that he was reporting different names each time. It has not been determined whether this is an anomalous effect.
Below is the transcript of Interview XXXX
Agent █████: Hello, my name is agent █████, I'm interviewing you today for the investigation on the elevator incident.
Agent █████: Can you tell me what you were talking to the mechanic about when he first entered the building?
Receptionist: Yeah, I just asked him what he was here for and he said he was called in to work on the elevator. Showed me the receipt and explained the problem. I asked if I needed to call my manager but he said it was fine if I signed the receipt when he was done.
Agent █████: And you didn't know he was called in, but still let him work on it?
Receptionist: Look man, our elevator never worked great, it's not like our manager always tells us when people are coming in to work. Am I in trouble? That guy was a terrorist or something, right?
Agent █████: No, you're not in trouble. We just need everything you know, so we can catch him as soon as possible.
Agent █████: What was the name on his nametag? Do you know his full name, or the name of his company?
Receptionist: Nah, I couldn't tell you. I see tons of people every day, I don't remember a lot of details about them. I think I might remember the nametag though…
The receptionist pauses for thirty seconds.
Receptionist: I think it said Martin. I'm not sure, but that's what I remember.
Agent █████: Alright. Did you see anything that he was doing when he was working on the elevator?
Receptionist: No, not really. He was inside the shaft, so I didn't really see him that much. Not to say I was looking anywa-
The receptionist cuts out, and pauses for a second.
Receptionist: No, it's completely clear now. The nametag definitely said Mark.
Agent █████: Definitely? You weren't sure before. Are you absolutely sure now?
Receptionist: Yes. It's like a picture in my memory. "Murdock." Right on his chest.
Agent █████: Murdock? But you just said it was Mark.
Receptionist: Mark? No, no that was Martin you were thinking of. I wasn't sure then. I'm definitely sure it said Murdock now.
Agent █████: Alright, and you don't remember anything else about his name or his company name?
Receptionist: Nope, I don't think he mentioned anything like that. Nametag was all I really got. I feel good about that, I'm not normally so great at remembering names.
Agent █████: One final question. Could you describe any of the things he had on his toolcart?
Receptionist: I think I saw a powerdrill, and some sort of saw. Heck, maybe it was a wrench. I don't know man, I wasn't really paying attention, didn't realize he was gonna have some sort of bomb on him. All I know for sure is his nametag said Merlow.
Agent █████: His nametag said Merlow? What about Murdock?
Receptionist: Who's Murdock? Yes, his nametag said Merlow. How many times do I have to say that?
Agent █████: Nevermind. Thank you for your time.
