Crystalline structures that are exposed to SCP-XXXX become illuminated by an unknown means. Objects exposed in this way are lit for 24 hours after exposure.
SCP-XXXX travels from northeast to the southwest. No change has been observed since the anomaly was first brought to the Foundation's attention.

Incident Report XXXX-1:
SCP-XXXX passed over Site ███ on ██/██/13. Two personnel were caught outside as the leading edge of SCP-XXXX hit. Included is a transcription of audio recorded from the affected personnel's experience.

Item #: 3423
Object class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3423 is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment chamber. No humanoid corpses are to be allowed within 15 meters of the containment chamber. SCP-3423 is to be sedated if it enters an active state.
Description: SCP-3423 is a male humanoid entity of apparent english decent. SCP-3423 is clothed in stereotypical detective wear of the 1900's style.
The anomalous effects of SCP-3423 are triggered if a humanoid corpse is brought within 30 meters of the object (Hereafter referred to as SCP-3423-1). Within thirteen seconds, SCP-3423 will teleport to the site of SCP-3423-1 via an unknown means. SCP-3423 will then attempt to discover the cause of SCP-3423-1's death.
If SCP-3423 makes physical contact with SCP-3423-1, SCP-3423 will enter an active state. SCP-3423 will question any personnel within a 45 meter aria of SCP-3423-1 (Hereafter referred to as SCP-3423-2). If SCP-3423-2 do not reveal the cause of death of SCP-3423-1, SCP-3423 will become agitated and attempt to make physical contact with SCP-3423-2. Once SCP-3423 makes contact, SCP-3423-2 will experience Total Organ Failure. SCP-3423 will then continue questioning remaining SCP-3423-2 instances.
Every expired instance of SCP-3423-2 causes one more instance of SCP-3423-2 to be influenced by SCP-3423. One expired instance of SCP-3423-2 causes two more instances to expire, two expired instances would cause three to expire, and so on. It is currently unknown how the number of expired SCP-3423-2 influences SCP-3423.
Discovery: SCP-3423 was discovered by the foundation after reports of mass killings surfaced in London papers. Mobile task forces in the aria were able to identify SCP-3423, and subdue the object.
