“You have a stab wound. Sit down.”

“Yeah, I know! The stab wound is the lead.” Max said sardonically, adding “Don’t patronize me asshole.”
“Well, I told you this investigation was going to be unusual.” Agent Locke reminded Max
“If it was easy they would have called someone —”
“I only said unusual. It could have been easy, then you went and got stabbed.” Locke interupted. “Now, Sit down so I can stop the bleeding!”
“Oh, shut up. It’s not what you think, let me explain.” Max said, sitting to allow Lock to apply a bandage and slow the bleeding.
As he patched her up, Max, or Maxine as Locke called her when wanting to push her buttons, proceeded to inform Locke of what she had discovered. "I was running from one of those damned employees when I stumbled over a partially assembled dresser, right in front of a staff lounge," Max recalled. "I swear it hadn't been there before I fell, and I didn't recall anyone report finding a staff room. At the time though, there were more urgent matters on my mind, like the faceless monstrosity bearing down on me. As I was struggling to get up, it stabbed me in the leg with one of its malformed limbs. Before it could finished the job I reached for the door to try and escape. As soon as I touched the door, the Scip froze. After what seemed like forever, it turned around and walked back in the direction we had come from."
"We've always wondered where the staff came from," Locke responded, thinking through the implications.
"I'm not sure it's the source of the employees, only that its attitude towards me changed as soon as I came into contact with the staff lounge door," Max explained. "In any case after the staff left, I patched up my leg as best as I could, then opened the door. The lights flickered on. It looked like a normal staff room; there were some tables, chairs, a few couches, all Ikea, and a kitchenette. Since the door had appeared from nowhere, I used my MPSRA (insert link here) pair to hopefully anchor the room for further study. Then I hobbled back here to base as quickly as my leg would allow."
