Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Containment of SCP-XXXX has been outsourced to the Keepers of the Inheritance of Nathan (KIN) organization. All further containment procedures, descriptions, and histories1 relating directly to SCP-XXXX are contained by documents D-XXXX-1 D-XXXX-X, kept by the KIN at their monastery, located in XXXXXX. Each document must be kept within view of a live video feed that transmits directly to Foundation servers. Any attempt by foundation personnel to record, photograph, or take notes on the contents of the video feed will be considered a containment breach until the recorded information is destroyed and the individual is administered class-C amnestics.

Due to properties of SCP-XXXX, conventional camera equipment does not function in close proximity. Foundation researchers have deployed (ocular implants to some druids) to transmit live video feed.

Description: (all further documents are "live video", and should be rendered like parchment in cursive handwriting)
Document-1
The Eighth Day of the Twenty-Fifth Summer of the 291st Generation of the Inheritance
Brother Matthew

Today was the eleventh Sifting, and Brother Jacob has joined the Inheritance. I have been appointed the new Observer, and herin record what Was that it may not repeat again.

(I would like the list of names modified by a little bit based on a random seed derived from the current Year + Month + Day. The algorithm would have a starting list, and each day since the article was published, two adjacent names will be swapped. They will always be swapped the same way for all users for a given day. Currently the names are themed on jewish names, but that choice was arbitrary.)
Brother Jacob was the previously appointed Observer, and Brother Adam before him, and Brother Andrew before him, and…

Document-2: Continuing names

Document-3: …and Brother Amos before him, and Brother Meir before him, and the Great Keeper before him.
(Note: each description gets longer as they become more recent.)
Upon the first Sifting, on the (insert date as above), (describe romans finding the KIN).
Upon the second Sifting, on (insert date as above), (describe a natural disaster).
Upon the third Sifting, on (insert date as above), (describe a christian missionary finding the KIN).
Upon the fourth Sifting, on (insert date as above), (describe a brother failing, and then the same thing as the first Sifting happened).
Upon the fifth Sifting, on (insert date as above), (describe an english explorer finding the KIN, with some thaumaturgical background?).
Upon the sixth Sifting, on (insert moderately recent date), (describe researchers encountering KIN; the researchers are welcomed; the researchers decide to experiment by removing the Observer)
Upon the seventh Sifting, on (insert moderately recent date), (describe researchers encountering KIN in a different way; the researchers are not welcomed; they return with an MTF; perform similar experimentation)
Upon the eighth Sifting, on (insert moderately recent date), (describe an MTF randomly encountering the KIN; the MTF force their way in, and note the previous entries in the documents; researchers much more cautious; after some time, researchers try to fill the role of Observer; ritual fails)
Upon the ninth Sifting, on (insert moderately recent date), (describe an MTF raid mistaking KIN for something else)
Upon the tenth Sifting, on (insert very recent date), (describe the foundation making copies of the history, and leaving, and then a typo causes a paradox) (Note: this doesn't describe foundation contact, as that was not deemed by the monks as a bad thing this time)
Upon the eleventh Sifting, on (today's date), (describe a more subtle screw-up?)

(Document describing all the prior members, so that they aren't repeated in future timelines)

(Important to include somewhere in the KIN documents:)
Today shall now be known as the First Day of the First Summer of the 292nd Generation of the Inheritance.

Document-8: (The actual, foundation-provided documentation for SCP-XXXX, including description of SCP-XXXX-1, the sand-phoenix at the heart of the monastery. The gist of the situation is that the KIN are doing a better job of containing this SCP than the foundation can at the current time, due to the temporal shenanigans. However, whenever a Brother dies, their body is being added to SCP-XXXX-1, and it seems to be growing in size. The gist or implication of the scp itself is that there's a phoenix of sand at the heart of the monastery that's acting as an hour-glass for our timeline, and the KIN keep turning the hourglass over so that the timeline may continue. A Sifting event happens when the hourglass doesn't )
Document-9: [REDACTED]

Organization of Interest File for KIN
KIN is an order of monks from their monastery in XXXXXXXXX.

Only male members have been observed by researchers. It is unknown how they sustain their population, given that they do not have any interaction with the outside world.

(They appoint an Observer to track their documents. The Observer is subjected to a ritual that freezes their body in time, or as the KIN put it, "ceases the motion of their grain". The observer keeps their eyes open, sleepless, on their documents. Failing to observe the documents results in a Sifting event.)

Addendum: [Optional additional paragraphs]

- Analysis of previous "siftings" by head researcher
- Theory (of head researcher) that the live streaming of the documents SHOULD be equivalent to the KIN's appointed Observer watching them, but to avoid repeating the past Siftings, they are using it as a precaution instead of an experiment. They reference other SCP's where observers are required and common elements among their containment procedures that can be applied to SCP-XXX
- Authorization for outsourcing
- Proposal to reclassify as Thamuel (denied)
- Proposal to infiltrate monastery membership (pending)
