Description: SCP-XXXX has the physical appearance of a male member the Ursus Maritimus species of bear; its physical appearance bears no anomalous properties. The entity follows many of the behavioural patterns of the Ursus Maritimus species however has been observed to be fully sentient with human levels of intelligence. The anomaly requires a food and water source [See experiment log: SCP-XXXX-C], preferring to obtain both of these through means similar to that of Ursus Maritimus. The subject is however capable of remaining without means of sustenance for periods of time well beyond that of a bear matching its physiology.
The entity is capable of human speech in various languages (known languages include: English, Norwegian, Swedish and █████), however it only ever does so when the presence of a human or sentient, speech capable anomaly [see Incident report: SCP-XXXX-B1] is detected. The method in which this speech is produced is currently unknown as ultrasound scans reveal that the entity lacks vocal chords or a similar organ of any kind. The subject, through a currently non-explained telepathic connection, adopts the most relevant language for its current situation. The rest of the entity's physiology corresponds almost entirely with the Ursus Maritimus, however its feet contain an extra digit in the form of an opposable thumb which the entity uses to grip items in a similar manner to that of a human hand. The anomaly also has a muscle mass vastly exceeding any natural Ursus Maritimus which results in it having vastly superior strength when compared to this animal. The entity has however been shown to become swiftly fatigues when carrying out any action that draws upon this extra strength.
The subject is shows a similar personality to a human when interacting with other organisms, showing clear signs of empathy and generally acting in a compliant and otherwise kind manner. Following Incident: SCP-XXXX-B1, the personality of the entity has been observed to match whatever sentient organism is nearest to its body, including anomalous entities, please refer to the incident report for SCP-XXXX-B1 and note updated containment procedures.
