Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5402 must be contained in a 20m by 20m by 20 m steel room with UV light being beamed in bursts so is it is partly neutral and is visible. In the case of a breach, all working personnel should have access to a UV flashlight so it is visible and an taser so it can be sterilized and knocked out ready to be re contained and to see what appeared to cause the breach.
Description:
SCP-5402 is a humanoid that looks like a shadow yet is 3 dimensional yet somehow casts a shadow even when not visible. The creature is 13.6 meters in height and with its hunched back is only approximately 12.4 meters. SCP-5402 has existed for ████ years. The entity created █████ █████ and SCP-5402 was created, gained sentience so it stood up, yet it was not visible and became lonely, it resorted to stalking victims, then murdering them in order to cope. It was then found at an unknown SCP containment facility known as Site-████. Illuminated by UV, it was crying after murdering the scientists and was shocked with a loose active wire making it able to be contained on 13/11/20██. The only ways to see SCP-5402 that is not UV would be to look for a random shadow or if SCP-5005 is around.
SCP-5402 consumes human flesh but the only "substitute" that is available is those of the dead with no family or much people remembering them in order to not kill people needlessly D-Classes.

Dr ███████ monitoring SCP-5402. SCP is very quiet but very violent and seems to activate the reaction of fear in human subjects when they hear it or see the bodiless shadow moving across the room. It appears to have no interest in animals and seems to morph slightly when eating but this is unclear whether it is or if it is not. We used the █████ ████ which seems to have created it on it but we have decided to not let the SCP near it as it grew to an immense size and breach its containment zone so renovations have been scheduled and it has been re contained.
