Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is are to be kept in a 7x7x5 containment room. SCP-XXXX do not require food or water. Their containment rooms are only to be accessed by level (2) personal and above. Any testing on SCP-XXXX must be approved by level (3) personal and above to lower the chance of accidental reproduction. All instances of SCP-XXXX are to be immediately terminated.
SCP-XXXX
Description: SCP-XXXX is a mass of different dead insects including spiders, moths, caterpillars, etc. SCP-XXXX is presumably sentient and is able to move, bringing its dead organisms with it. When any insect touches SCP-XXXX they become stuck to it and eventually dies of dehydration, starvation, or some other external force. SCP-XXXX has been seen to actively search for insects to add to its mass. SCP-XXXX does not only affect insects; When SCP-XXXX locates an animal it will attempt to suffocate the animal and then when the animal has died, SCP-XXXX will start rapidly decomposing the animal. SCP-XXXX will only leave the animal when it is fully decomposed.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was found when SCP-XXXX had attached itself to a human; the person started screaming and attracted the attention of a passerby. The person called 911 and shortly after a medical team arrived. The SCP Foundation was contacted; CLASS - A amnestics were applied to everyone involved with SCP-XXXX. Shortly after SCP-XXXX was transported to the SCP Foundation.
Addendum: Testing Log-01
*Dr.█████ attempts to separate SCP-XXXX in half*
*SCP-XXXX is split into two*
*The separate masses seemingly are independent of each other going in separate directions and acting by themselves*
*Now labeled SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX2, SCP-XXXX-1 starts moving towards Dr.█████ while SCP-XXXX-2 moves around aimlessly*
*Dr.█████ is instructed to leave the containment cell*
*Dr.█████ leaves the containment cell*
"Note SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 are separate beings and not a hive mind"- Dr.█████
Addendum: Testing Log-02
*D-4834 is instructed to attempt to combine SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 together with a metal pole*
*D-4834 does as instructed and puts SCP-XXXX-2 on top of SCP-XXXX-2*
*SCP-XXXX-2 moves away from SCP-XXXX-1 and is not stuck to SCP-XXXX-1*
*D-4834 is instructed to leave the room*
*SCP-XXXX-1 blocks the doorway*
*SCP-XXXX-2 moves towards D-4834 and successfully suffocates and kills D-4834
Note: SCP-XXXX-2 was later terminated.
Addendum: Incident Log-01
At 07/21/1█ SCP-XXXX was observed to be able to reproduce asexually through a process similar to binary fission.
SCP-XXXX finishes reproduction and the product of the reproduction was labeled SCP-XXXX-3.
SCP-XXXX-3 was identical to SCP-XXXX-1 but SCP-XXXX-3 acted independently from SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX-1 lost half its mass during this process.
SCP-XXXX-3 was later terminated.
Addendum: Incident Log-02
An instance of SCP-XXXX was found in ██████, Russia. The instance was labeled SCP-XXXX-4. Was found to be able to reproduce through binary fission. SCP-XXXX-4 was later terminated.
So far 582 instances of SCP-XXXX have been found outside of containment, all of which were terminated.
