Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 70% minimum aluminum composed containment cell. SC0-XXXX's containment cell is to be exposed to UV radiation of a 9nm wavelength minimum at all times in order to disorientate SCP-XXXX. Under no conditions shall this UV radiation be shut off, any violations of this rule will result in immediate demotion to D class. In the event that the UV radiation is shut off and cannot be brought back online, activate the cells integrated basic chemical shower and class 2 flame throwers, if the automated system is broken follow this step manually with hand held chemical sprayers and flame throwers. SCP-XXX is to be in the central section of the cell chained by its extremities to the ceiling and floor. The SCP-XXX particle buildup at the corners and creased edges of the cell must be cleansed with fire at the end of every week. A single access corridor with a 3 step entry procedure is to lead from SCP-XXX's containment cell to outside the cell. No personnel other than class D are permitted within SCP-XXX's cell; all maintenance and sample collection is to be carried out by class D personnel which then become class E due to exposure to particle build up. Disciplinary measures taken against personnel that violate this rule include locking them in SCP-XXXX's containment cell leading to their immediate mortal eradication. Immediate incineration commences before mutation occurs. Research staff must be Level 3 personnel minimum or higher.
On the first of every month, SCP-XXX is to be fed one living D class Personnel. In emergencies or breeches, flamethrowers may be employed to quickly reduce SCP-XXXX's particle production, as well as disorient SCP-XXXX.
Due to the potential of catastrophe any creature to inhale or ingest the particles of SCP-XXXX is to be disposed of via incinerator before mutation can Occur.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid male with DNA similar to that of a man between 30 and 40 years of age as well as trace resemblances to the genetic structure of fungi. SCP-XXXX appears emancipated with no Genitals, hair or face. It's arms and legs appear elongated. SCP-XXXX stays in an upright position floating without direction 2 feet off the ground. SCP-XXXX produces black particles similar to fungal spores. These spores gather and cluster on surfaces or in the lungs or stomach when inhaled or ingested creating a black substance similar in texture to penicillium mold that can grow on any surface. When mutation occurs, a large number of black arm-like appendages form out of the mass of particle mold, these false arms lash, grab and pull at anything that gives off thermal energy. Death and reanimation occurred in 100% of recorded exposure cases, living creatures affected begin to experience changes in their DNA that makes them similar in composition to SCP-XXXX, extreme mental fatigue follows before arms sprout from the creatures back. Time from exposure to reanimation changes based on thr amount of SCP-XXXX's particles inhaled or ingested. The particles emanating from SCP-XXXX causes parts of its body to gain a film of its black mold growths. SCP-XXX has shown no signs of aging or deterioration since its discovery in 19██. SCP-XXXX is near identical in biological structure to humans. The only differences being that SCP-XXX contains 2 hearts instead of 1 that beat out of synch, hollow bones and flesh that is resistant to any form of mutilation or damage other than radiation burns, fire and strong basic chemicals. This flesh is shown to have cancer like properties of duplication allowing for a strong regenerative factor.
SCP-XXXX has been viewed to exude particles of an unknown origin
with no biological way of producing them, how SCP-XXXX does so is
unknown. Once a significant mass has been gathered the particle mass
begins to produce elongated arms similar to that of SCP-XXX that
will pull any living flesh and blood creature into the mold where
they are encased in the mold then digested. This seems to be the only way to feed SCP-XXXX. If it is not fed monthly SCP-XXXX becomes irritable and unpredictable, producing particles at an accelerated rate and gaining consciousness. If exposure to SCP-XXXX's particles occurs the creature begins to start growing anywhere from 4 - 11 similar arms from their back before losing control of their consciousness becoming feral attacking all that aren't SCP-XXX or others of its "spawn."
The Foundation came into possession of SCP-XXXX after a tomb in
[REDACTED] Africa was discovered by archeologists digging for fossils of species that lived in high altitudes, once opened the
archeologists found intricate stonework and a sarcophagus made
entirely of aluminium ore that was welded shut. The archeologists
opened the sarcophagi becoming exposed to the particle and became
The first noted occurance of "spawn" allowing SCP-XXXX to escape. The foundation was notified when SCP-XXXX was spotted in [REDACTED] by authorities, the foundation sent a mobile task force to subdue SCP-XXXX. Conventional weaponry had no adverse effect on SCP-XXXX, it was observed that flame and sunlight exposure dazed and incapacitated SCP-XXXX. Once this was observed, these weaknesses were utilized in order to secure SCP-XXXX for delivery to the foundation, where
it was found that aluminum was the only material the particles could
not permeate. All SCP-XXXX's "spawn" were incinerated when found.
Class B amnestics were administered to civilians and law enforcement personnel affected by the SCP-XXXX breach otherwise known as the
"pandora's box event.” The incident was covered up as having been
caused by a natural disaster. Later examination of the tomb and carbon dating of the sarcophagus revealed it to be made in the mid-miocene era before the first record of man. Any attempts to process SCP-XXXX's DNA has failed to identify its origin as its structure is an alien combination of fungi and animal DNA, as well as DNA stemming from unknown origin. All personnel involved with SCP-XXXX's retrieval and initial testing that survived started suffering nightmares and hallucinations of the arms emerging from darkness, some becoming SCP-XXX's "spawn," others terminating themselves. Out of the ███ affected, only █ are alive at the time of this entry, still suffering from severe psychosis.
Attempts to terminate SCP-XXXX with sustained radiation, flame,
basic chemicals, vacuum or extreme pressure have all failed, few only putting SCP-XXXX in a subdued state. Further termination
attempts are forbidden by order of [REDACTED], due to SCP-XXXX's growing more unpredictable and violent, SPC-XXXX has become increasingly difficult to contain. See Document XXXX-a for information on the current results of particle testing.
EEGs confirm full brain activity. All attempts to communicate with
SCP-XXXX are to be monitored and recorded for information on
SCP-XXXX's origin.
Addendum:
All communications with SCP-XXXX have been cryptic and have left
those who communicate to SCP-XXXX with temporary hysteria and in rare occasions, long-term PTSD. SCP-XXXX only chooses to communicate with individuals with green eyes.
All recorded instances SCP-XXX communicates to individuals telepathically, the receiver noted SCP-XXXX says to the individual "for when the sun dies all will know the potential they hold.”
