SCP-1337, weakened under the influence of fluorescent lighting.
Item #: SCP-1337
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
Description: SCP-1337 appears to be an orthodox shadow, able to inhabit and assimilate any area that receives very little light within or slightly outside of the visible spectrum, the wavelengths of which measuring approximately 350 to 720 nanometers (nm). SCP-1337 possesses an insatiable hunger for organic matter, which combined with its ability to nearly instantaneously traverse and expand into new areas earns it its Keter classification. Any form of eukaryotic life (excepting certain forms of plant matter) that enter SCP-1337’s domain are quickly dissolved at the molecular level. The onset of molecular dissolution varies on a per-consumable basis; rates of ingestion have been observed to measure around 1045 ± 60 cm³/s (one thousand cumecs).1
