SCP-JL-847 "Guy Eatr"

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-JL-847 is to be kept in a standard containment locker at Site-20. Testing with SCP-JL-847 must be approved by at least two Level 2 researchers.

At least five back-up copies of SCP-JL-847 are to be in containment, in the likely event that the current SCP-JL-847 being tested on has been damaged¹ during testing.

Incident²

Description: SCP-JL-847 is a standard CD disc, with a 120 mm radius. "Guy Eatr" can be seen written on the front of the disc in permanent marker. The anomalous properties of the object begin once a subject has inserted it into a computer's optical drive/CD player. The file attached to the disc will automatically open once scanned, and display a pop-up, which cannot be closed in any means unless the computer is destroyed. The pop-up reads the word "EAT" in all caps repeated 80 times across it. The message remains after removing the disc, and seems to disable all functions of the computer permanently.

After someone has read the pop-up from SCP-JL-847, they will immediately begin to deform and bloat, appearing much like a lightly-deflated balloon. The strength in their jaw will also increase considerably more than normal, as well as the size of their mouth, becoming roughly 3-5 times bigger than the regular size for a human mouth. This process can take from 30 seconds to 4 minutes on average, the longest amount of time being 12 minutes. The subject will from this point on be referred to as SCP-JL-847-A. Once this transformation is complete, they will then start the eating phase.

During the eating phase, SCP-JL-847-A will enter a state of extreme mania and severe hunger. They will immediately vomit out all food they had previously eaten, and begin to eat everything within their near vicinity. (approx. within 5 meters) Preferably living meat. If no meat is found, they will eat everything in the room and exit, looking around until flesh is found. If there are no biological lifeforms within about 2 kilometers they will begin to eat themselves, dying in the process.

SCP-JL-847-A can destroy and consume 6 times their body weight before dying. Despite their body shape and mouth changing, their internal organs remain the same, meaning that when they get to eat about 2/3 of their body weight, it will cause their stomach and esophagus to burst and split. Their body will soon become a mess of flesh and food, bodies they had consumed bursting out of their stomach and intestines.

1. Most subjects affected by SCP-JL-847 have eaten the computer with the disc inside during the eating phase.

2. Researcher Dr.C█████ placed a copy of SCP-JL-847 in a disc case of the 2003 movie, "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," presumably on accident. Upon someone opening the disc and inserting it in their optical drive, the anomalous effects of SCP-JL-847 took place, causing MTF Guards to have to eliminate them on site. (Dr.G████) Dr.C█████ has been demoted to D-Class due to repeated irresponsibility, this case being the largest.
