Special containment procedures:
SCP 5008 is to be watched over and closely examined by Dr. Mist and a group of scientists consisting of no less than ten (10) scientists in which five (5) are specially trained to combat liquid SCPs, and the other five (5) scientists must be trained in wildlife and ecology. Dr. Mist’s anomalous skills and abilities are vital to containment. All ten (10) scientists and Dr. Mist must be prepared for an emergency evacuation at any time. SCP 5008 must be contained in a forty-nine point five (49.5)meter box on all sides exclusively made of graphene. The color of the liquid, and the wild life surrounding SCP 5008 must be monitored daily, and there cannot be anything that is man made within one (1) Km of SCP 5008, or trash, dust, and any other unclean items the only exception being graphene. If the water color does change, a deep cleanse of the area must be done. This must be done to ensure Alpha 1-10 events (SCP 5008-1) and Beta 1-5 events (SCP 5008-2) don’t occur and/or to undo the stages that have already occurred. Instances of SCP 5008-3 must be terminated on site. No transportation of SCP 5008 will be attempted without the assistance of Dr. Mist. Civilian Witnesses or people who are affected by any instance of any form of SCP 5008 must be administered class E and F amnestics and all memories of SCP 5008 or memories of anyone who has been killed by SCP 5008 are required to be removed and replaced with fake memories. Every facility where an SCP is reported missing around Alpha 8 events must follow containment breach protocol the only exception being if the protocol includes damaging foundation property.¹ Cases of SCP 5008-4 must be shot with substance known as Exofloance-v06 to destroy them. Once they are destroyed the real SCPs will reappear in containment. Fifteen (15) D-class personnel must be left behind during an evacuation in the scenario that the beta events are triggered. To undo all damage done to the planet by SCP 5008 Beta-7 (“Maz Hatters”) has to clean the entire area affected with Exofloance-v06, the same substance used to terminate SCP 5008-4. MTF Beta-7 (“Maz Hatters”) also is to be utilized in monitoring SCP 5008 except for cases of SCP 5008-3 and SCP 5008-4 which we be dealt with, by a new mobile task force known as MTF Lambda-16 (“crowd destroyers”)²

Description: SCP 5008 is a body of water (which will be referred to as SCP 5008-1) that is surrounded by a forest (which will be referred to as SCP 5008-2) with many species of unidentifiable creatures. The body of water will change colors depending on how clean it is. Each color will have a different effect, there are a total of ten (10) colors which will be referred to as events Alpha 1- Alpha 10. If the water becomes transparent or evaporates the Beta events have begun³

+ Alpha events

Alpha 1: The water will turn a shade of dark green and will heat up to an estimated temperature of thirty two (32) degrees celsius. It can be referred to as an unusual hot tub.

Alpha 2: The water will turn dark orange and will cover any living matters (within the water) entire body with third degree burns.

Alpha 3: The water will turn to acid and will melt through any matter including non organic matter.

Alpha 4: The water will begin to turn white and spread and multiply from any aquatic matter it touches, at this stage the forest and its life will disappear.

Alpha 5: The water will turn crimson red and will attract any form of life, to consume them. The water will gain the mass of whatever was consumed. This effect will last two (2) days. Dr Mist is the only one who can reverse the effects of the water from this point forward. An emergency evacuation of all surrounding life must occur except for the staff dealing with SCP 5008

Alpha 6: The water will turn gray and will begin to actively suck any form of matter, organic or non organic into it. At this stage it has the estimated power of fifteen (15) Teslas. This effect will last half (0.5) a day

Alpha 7: The water will turn yellow and begin to emit nuclear radiation. Any living thing near this will be diagnosed with cancer within the next three (3) years. After Alpha 7 Dr. Mist’s means of stopping SCP 5008 becomes ineffective, and there are no means known by the foundation for stopping it. The staff dealing with SCP 5008 must be evacuated.

Alpha 8: The water will turn cyan. Contained SCPs will begin to appear made out of water and reanimate themselves (these will be referred to as SCP 5008-4). The real versions of these SCPs will disappear from their containment cells and will be roaming around the body of water, but eventually the SCP will be found headed towards areas with a high civilian population. There will be two (2) of each SCP.

Alpha 9: The water will turn gold and silver, and act as a hydrogen bomb equivalent to the Tsar bomb or twenty five (25) megatons of tnt.

Alpha 10: The Water will be gone but it will reappear as a rainbow puddle 3 weeks later. SCP 5008-2 will return and it will consume any humans it comes across. The speed of SCP 5008-2 differs widely between occurrences. SCP 5008-2 will be rainbow. The event will last for three (3) weeks, until the puddle appears. Note that the puddle will appear in a seemingly random location

The Beta events have a fifteen (15) percent chance of occurring in between Alpha events 5-9. Once the first Beta event occurs all previous Alpha events are cancelled out

+ Beta events

Beta 1: The water will lose all color and will become transparent, and it will start to bubble. An evacuation must occur immediately with the exception of fifteen (15) D-class personnel.

Beta 2: The water will evaporate and turn into gas and a white cloud will appear in the containment cell. Which will be referred to as the gas.

Beta 3: The gas will turn invisible and whimpering and screaming can be heard.

Beta 4: The gas will spread and kill any form of life within a ten (10) Km radius. If there are less than fifteen (15) humans within a ten (10) Km radius than spores will create themselves out of an unknown compound. An estimated twelve million (12,000,000) spores will form a shape believed to be from a forgotten language.

Beta 5: Creatures with a similar appearance to SCP 3008-2 (which will be referred to as SCP 5008-3) will sprout out of the spores and will be extremely hostile to humans at all times. The puddle will reappear after all cases 5008-3 are terminated, or if one (1) year goes by, whichever one comes first. Note that the puddle will appear in a seemingly random location.
