Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3183 is to be contained in a stone container in a light room. if SCP-3183 gets into contact with any surface that is not a type of rock it will change into stone within 2 minutes. the newly made statue is to be removed by D-class personel as soon as possible. if this happens to late SCP-3183 will transport itself to the surface of the statue taking its ability with it, In the case of this happening D-class personel wearing gloves will have to break SCP-3183 out of the statue with stone tools to put it back in containment.

Description: SCP-3183 was found in the hell creek fossil formation on the surface of what at the time seemed to be a burried stone triceratops statue. SCP-3183 is a Trilobite fossil wich after tests does not fit in any known trilobite species. After several tests with SCP-3183 it was found out that stone tools are not affected by SCP-3183. SCP-3183 will turn anything that is not a type of rock into a statue, the statue is not made of any known type of rock, This is the only type of rock that SCP-3183 will be able to merge with. if SCP-3183 has merged with a statue the entire surface of the statue will gain the same effect as SCP-3183 if SCP-3183 merges with a statue it should be cut out of the statue with stone tools immediatly. SCP-3183 only turns items it directly touches into statues. SCP-3183 is kept at site ██ It currently poses no safety threat.

SCP-3183 has been observed moving from place to place in the dark only when it isnt looked at simularly to SCP-173, This is why it must be kept in a light room at all times so it is not able breach containment. if SCP-3183 is able to choose where it goes for itself is unknown. It doesnt respond to any outside stimulant and the fossil itself cannot be broken with any type of machinery.
