Special Containment Procedures: STF-𐤌 ('Story Tellers') is to monitor SCP-XXXX to identify incoming narrative threats to consensus reality and report them to O5 Council. On a monthly basis, the 'Pataphysics Department is to invent an idea for an anomaly that is beneficial to the Foundation and propose it to STF-𐤌, who are to draft the idea into a narrative format. This narrative is to be inserted into the 'Patasphere¹ using the Text-Plot Hook and subsequently discussed through SCP-XXXX in order to recieve LIGHTs and eventually be written into consensus reality.

Archived Procedures, Initial Version: The 'Pataphysics Department is to continuously attempt to interact with SCP-XXXX to ascertain its nature and its relationship to SCP-XXXX-A. In the event that meaningful communication is able to be established with SCP-XXXX-A, a direct report is to be made to O5 Council in order to establish contact.

Additional Procedures, Outdated Revision: The Foundation has been rendered unable to access SCP-XXXX until 05/08/2033. Until this date, STF-𐤌 ('Story Tellers') is to study and emulate recorded communications from SCP-XXXX. On or after the aforementioned date, STF-𐤌 is to pose as a member of SCP-XXXX-A and use SCP-XXXX to negotiate the terms of the Foundation's communication restriction.

An unsuccessful attempt at displaying SCP-XXXX's visual format through narrative decryption.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an extranarrative communications system utilized by higher-order narrative entities to discuss the formation of consensus reality. SCP-XXXX is believed to be used by the author entities proposed by Dr. Swann (designated as SCP-XXXX-A for the purposes of this document) to share and discuss ideas.

Foundation data scientists are currently unable to accurately decrypt or reduce higher-order narrative information into a graphic format, rendering it functionally impossible to visualize SCP-XXXX as they do. However, interpretation and interaction with the textual elements of SCP-XXXX is possible through the use of a modified Scranton Reality Anchor, (known internally as a Text-Plot Hook) which is able to noticeably manipulate SCP-XXXX's datastream. The extent to which SCP-XXXX-A understands or perceives this as meaningful communication is poorly understood.

SCP-XXXX's datastream was discovered on 15/07/2031 by the Innovations Division during testing of an experimental SRA model. This datastream was found to permeate our universe as a type of 'narrative background radiation,' and was subsequently recorded by the prototype. The project was quickly transferred to a team of data scientists and pataphysicians for decryption.

Abstract: SCP-XXXX appears to be a communications channel used by SCP-XXXX-A for various purposes. At this point in time, it is theorized that many of the 'stories' that become integrated into our reality are discussed through SCP-XXXX in order to ensure they meet the narrative standards required for the formation of our universe.

Monitoring SCP-XXXX and understanding SCP-XXXX-A's communications are imperative to accurately predicting narrative threats and the state of our pataphysical reality; however, their methods of communication are largely abstract, proving incredibly difficult for the Foundation to decode. Relative to SCP-XXXX-A, our language is incredibly steeped in cliches, tropes, and references, and adapting the way we interpret language is no easy feat.

Proposal: Formation of Stationary Task-Force Mem (STF-𐤌: 'Story Tellers'), a joint taskforce consisting of both 'Pataphysics and Linguistics employees, as well as leading researchers in data sciences. This entails providing several loyal, select personnel with access to relevant 'Pataphysics documents at the discretion of Dr. Placeholder. Furthermore, STF-𐤌 requests extended access to reality-measurement and -maintenance technologies such that the Innovations Department may further develop Prototype-XXXX-02 (the Text-Plot Hook).

Result: Approved by O5 Council 11-1 (1 abstain).

Foreword: Using limited vocabulary and understanding of extranarrative communications, Overseer Council attempted to communicate with SCP-XXXX-A through SCP-XXXX. Note that, due to excessive time dilation, the following conversation took place over the course of 12 hours, although it is estimated that this equated to roughly 15 minutes of relative time for SCP-XXXX-A. During this time period, O5-1 was regularly contacted for new responses, which were approved by at least two other O5 members before translation. Note that the O5's communications were crude due to a poor understanding of SCP-XXXX-A's language.

An animation to add narrative potential to the inserted anomaly.

Abstract: Interaction with, and study of, SCP-XXXX and its related systems have provided significant insight into the process by which members of SCP-XXXX-A create, moderate, and disseminate narratives into consensus reality. STF-𐤌 is confident that these systems are stable and reliable, and our ability to access specific regions of the 'Patasphere as indicated by SCP-XXXX-A may allow the Foundation to directly insert narratives into our own universe.

Proposal: 'Narrative Insertion', in which STF-𐤌 utilizes SCP-XXXX and related systems to bring about narratives which benefit the Foundation in consensus reality. This requires for a pataconcept to be submitted to SCP-XXXX-A for review, at which point instances decide if such a concept provides the potential for a narrative. SCP-XXXX-A may approve the concept with LIGHTs, at which point STF-𐤌 can design a narrative construct around the concept and submit it to the 'Patasphere. This concept stabilizes over a seven-week period, after which it may or may not manifest in consensus reality, depending on the relative strength of the construct in comparison to other recently-submitted narrative constructs.

In order to test this process, STF-𐤌 will instate the existence of a beneficial, yet ultimately benign anomaly, designated as the currently-empty slot SCP-5094, which is intended to improve the general education and intelligence of several research personnel. This process will require accurate documentation and containment procedures to be preemptively created and maintained within the Foundation database such that consensus reality mimics the proposed narrative. Additionally, at least one member of C-Class personnel must undergo mnestic therapy to plant false memories of the anomaly so that they can be accurately characterized within the document in order to strengthen the construct's narrative stability.

Result: Approved by O5 Council 8-3 (2 abstain).

Project XXXX-02 Report

• After minor alterations to SCP-5094's associated pataconcept, several members of SCP-XXXX-A approved it via LIGHTs.
• The resulting narrative concept was a computer program with anomalous teaching capabilities, retroactively correlated as the childhood educator and companion of several Foundation personnel upon submission into the 'Patasphere.
• SCP-5094 stabilized approximately two months after submission. It is currently being used to further the Foundation's understanding of several anomalous sciences and phenomena, including 'Pataphysics.
