Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-6757 instances, containment is virtually impossible. Instances of SCP-6757-1 are spread all over Europe, and are extremely difficult to track and capture. While the instances do not show any direct aggression to organisms, they appear to unknowingly distribute remains of a strain of the Bubonic Plague, that killed 50 percent of all humans during it's first wave between the years 1347—1351. Mobile Task Force Lambda-3 ("Bird Watchers") has been tasked with tracking instances of SCP-6757 and contain them before they can spread the strain of the bubonic plague classified as BBPX-133-D, which has been noted to have a much higher lethality rate of 86 percent. SCP-6757 instances have been marked as Beta priority, as SCP-6757 entities could cause a BK-Mass-Mortality-Event1 and a large group of the European population would die.

Description: SCP-6757-1 instances are a branch of the Passeridae family. It is currently unknown how many entities there are, but as of ██/██/20██, there have been 64 sightings of SCP-6757 entities. SCP-6757-1 are sparrows that have the body of a Passer Sparrow, although they have their face covered with a medieval plague doctor mask. The mask grows out of the skull, and is theorized to be born with a mask. This theory has yet to be confirmed due to the extremely low chance of viewing a SCP-6757 instance.

Due to the low amount of evidence pointing to SCP-6757's origins, flight patterns, and bodily functions, Lambda-3 have been tasked with containing instances for testing and dissection on ██/██/20██. Two entities were captured and one was dissected ten minutes after expiration and the other is kept in a secure glass container for study.

When dissected, the instance is noted to have a completely decayed body and internal structure. The entire body had withered and it was not physically possible for the creature to be alive or possess basic motor skills. The entity contains all the same internal components as a Passer Sparrow, and acts like a common sparrow. The other SCP-6757 instance was outfitted with a tracking implant in the right wing and was released, leading to researchers discovering they make their nests in densely populated areas, further spreading the BBPX-133-D strand. As of ██/██/20██, ███ humans have been terminated due to SCP-6757 instances.

Discovery: SCP-6757 instances were first discovered after the town of █████, ██████ was found with all of the populace dead. When mobile task force personnel entered the contaminated area of SCP-6757, resulted in the deaths of ██ more humans. Type C3-F HAZMAT gear was equipped and the entire town was incinerated. 27 SCP-6757 were seen on the day of the discovery and one was captured, but expired shortly after due to unknown reasons before proper experimentation could be conducted.

Note from Lead Field Researcher █████: SCP-6757 has been temporarily been reclassified as Alpha priority to contain as many SCP-6757 instances as possible before an epidemic is released amongst Europe.
