(UNFINISHED)

Item #: SCP-5118

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
All SCP-5118 creatures are to be kept in a 8 x 8 x 8 meter room with an inner wall, ceiling, and floor made of a 13 cm layer of cushion following 40 cm of solid steel, any damage to this containment room should be reported to a level 3 or higher staff member immediately. Optionally, the cell may be painted to emulate their natural habitat to boost morale to the creatures. Transportation between facilities is permitted to preserve SCP- 5118's survival if more dangerous or predatory are contained in the same facility as SCP- 5118, this requires permission from the aviary department. If a containment breach for SCP-5118, tear gas must be released in the sector to prevent damage to staff, property, and SCP-5118. Termination of SCP-5118 is NOT an option.

Description:
SCP-5118 are an incredibly rare species of bird similar in size and habitat as canaries and robins with the ability to extend it's beak out quickly and with tremendously high force, similar to a sniper rifle from approximately 35 cm in front of it's face to cause damage when feeling threatened. Testing has proved that SCP-5118 can puncture 7 to 10cm of solid steel with 45,000 PSI, much more then enough to demolish the human skull which is around 520 PSI. Due to its rarity and how much it threatens it's environment, 16 specimens of SCP-5118 have been contained in site (REDACTED) although there's a possibility of other specimens located throughout North America and possibly Europe, any specimens are to be extracted immediately with caution, termination of SCP-5118, even for anatomy inspections without proper permission may lead to severe discipline or immediate termination without warning.

Attempts at reproduction for SCP-5118 have been futile, (REDACTED) of mating has only resulted in 32 offspring, only 3 resembling SCP-5118, the rest resembling Scissor Tail Flycatchers, all of whom have been labeled SCP-5118-001 to SCP-5118-029.

SCP-5118 are colored primary white and gray with lines of black throughout it's tail and back, mostly resembling a Scissor Tail Flycatcher. The sounds it makes are similar to other birds, however they seem to be more in rhythm to other sounds and music that is going on around it. Its displayed interest in music and singing often trying to imitate it to some degree, showing the most reaction in jazz, sea sea shanties, and electronic.

SCP-5118's diet consists of mainly fruit, plants, and seeds. Insects and meat have little interest among the species with some exceptions on few occasions, likely from curiosity when presented. Larger seeds from fruit are to be removed and cut up or blended to prevent a choking hazard. Music is to be played every other hour for an hour to keep SCP-5118 happy and calm. Aggressive music is to be restrained from being played as to not scare SCP-5118. All music is handpicked from the aviary department, any requests should be forwarded to them, all of whom are level 4 personnel.
