SCP-4527

Item #: SCP-4527

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-4527's nature, the only means of containment is to restrict access to the peak of Mount Everest as that seems to be the only point of access between the real world and the SCP. Procedures such as warning hikers about the dangers of reaching the peak plus the mountain's already dangerous weather conditions would make it difficult for most to even attempt to reach the entity.

Description: SCP-4527 is usually described as an upside down, floating mountain above of Mount Everest. It seems to reflect the look of Mount Everest perfectly except for the fact that there is no signs of life, as to be expected if it also shows to be of similar height and temperatures to the real mountain. Occasionally, the 4527 seems to have small moments of change such as a slight change of color of the snow and ice at its peak.

Very few researchers have actually gone onto 4527 itself. It is very much accessible by only raising one's arms to the other mountain, as if they have been teleported to its surface. Once teleported to the peak of 4527, researchers have said once they look back up to what should have been their partners looking up at them, they were only faced with another empty peak as the one they were standing one. Once Dr.█████ had raised his arm to Mount Everest, he was teleported back to his partners and was vividly confused to their sudden reappearance once he had returned. The other researchers had said they had not moved, meaning 4527 seems to also be a one-way window when it comes to living entities.
