Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-XXXX entrance is to be guarded by ten (10) armed guards, equipped withlive rounds and napalm based equipment. Any instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are to be safely escorted to Site-█. Alternatively, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be terminated on sight.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a cave located in the coastline of ██████, Greece. The cave entrance is surrounded by a coat of darkness. Entrance to the cave is strictly prohibited to all personnel. Several recording experiments have been conducted, concluding that no modern machinery appears to be working inside the cave. Markings near the entrance citing different works of the ancient philosopher Plato. Radiocarbon dating on these markings revealed the cave was formed approximately 23██ years ago. Security report occasionally noticing the light of a small fire inside the cave.
SCP-XXXX-1 are prisoners of the cave who have broken their chains and escaped. Once free they will immediately rush to the exit. Though, once exposed to sunlight, they will experience an extreme nervous breakdown, due to their lack of knowledge of the real world. They will begin screaming, fall to the ground, and proceed to attack anything resembling a human. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be terminated on sight.
SCP-XXXX-2 are also prisoners that escaped the cave. Contradictory to SCP-XXXX-1's behaviour, once they come in contact with the real world. They will be both shocked and amazed. After they recover from that initial shock, multiple SCP-XXXX-3 will emerge from the cave in order to recapture them. SCP-XXXX-2 must be protected at all costs. Once recovered, they will be transported to Site-██ for interrogation and their own safety. During trasportation SCP-XXXX-2 must not be exposed to the real world, to prevent a nervous breakdown.
SCP-XXXX-3 are assumed to be the guards of the cave. They are humanoid, with pitch-black skin, lack any facial features, and their joints can bend 360o. They also possess the ability to crawl on walls. They appear to be emotionless, with the exception of an innate fear of fire. They will attack any creature that attempts to enter the cave, and prevent any prisoner from leaving the cave without losing their minds.
Interviewed: Ἀγησαγόρας
Interviewer: Dr. Giannopoulos
Foreword: To communicate with SCP-XXXX-2, known as Ἀγησαγόρας, Dr. Giannopoulos, who is proficient with ancient greek, has been selected for this interview. Post-interview translation has been done for better archiving.

Dr. Giannopoulos: Please sir, I need you to stay calm
Ἀγησαγόρας: Calm? CALM? Don't you understand, boy? There is a whole new world for me to explore behind this mechanism. I need to know more!
Note: the mechanism referred to the door of the interview room.
Dr. Giannopoulos: Don't worry, the world is going nowhere, but neither are you until we finish talking.
Ἀγησαγόρας: Very well then, but be swift. I didn't rot in a damn cave for Zeus knows how long just to waste away in a weird square!
Dr. Giannopoulos: About that cave, all we want to know is what is in there, and most importantly, what were you doing inside it.
Ἀγησαγόρας: I can't quite remember who I was, before all that, before I was trapped there. All I remember is listening to a speech of my dear friend Pericles. It was a burial ceremony, I believe, and he was supposed to talk about the achievements of the dead. But instead he started praising those standing in front of him, and givng them much more credit than those that came to pass. After that everything is foggy. I remember walking back home, when I saw this man, talking to himself. As I approached him he got more distressed, until he let out a scream. After that I blacked out.
Note: That man can not have been Plato, as the dates do not match
Dr. Giannopoulos: Well, that sums up your past and how you got in that cave. So, just tell me what was inside there and how you managed to escape so I can leave you to your little Odyssey.
Ἀγησαγόρας: Is that what you call a joke ?
Dr. Giannopoulos Just move on with your story and cut the [REDACTED].
Ἀγησαγόρας: Fine. We were chained to a wall, no food, no water, nothing. There was a small fire behind us that shed all kinds of shadows on the wall. I don't know for how long I was there, but it felt like those shadows were the only reality. I forgot about the real world, or more like I did not even know any other world. Sometimes, weird invisible creatures would unlock our chains, basically granting us freedom, but none of us would dare defy their sense of reality and go towards the blinding light. Only after I got out of the cave, did i start remembering my actual past.
Note: The invisible creatures may refer to instances of SCP-XXXX-3
Dr. Giannopoulos: Very interesting Ἀγησαγόρα, you helped us a lot today. As a thank you, the Foundation has prepared you a very… special gift. That will be all.

Closing Statement: Ἀγησαγόρας was then introduced to the specialized rehabilitation program the foundation had created for all instances of SCP-XXXX-2, so they may safely live as a citizen in this new age of the world.
