Special Containment Procedures: Due to [SCP-XXXX]'s properties it is difficult to contain physically. Due to this nature it is 'contained' in the staff break room TV of Site [DATA EXPUNGED]. It is to be monitored at all times on a per-hour basis of no less then two scientists and to be on contact with the cable provider during this time.
The scientists are to watch for any content that my be disturbing or contains information that can be potentially harmful. Upon finding viewing material that fits this criteria they are to tell the cable provide to take it off the air till the topic is no longer being discussed.
Description: [SCP-XXXX] is a news broadcasting channel labeled 'Channel 8 Local News' with the motto 'News to you, for you, 24/7/365.' Where it is stationed at and where it's broadcasting from is currently unknown and is known to switch suddenly to different cable companies across the world.
The news station is run by two news anchors by the names of Bret and Amelia. [SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 respectively.] They are always seen in a normal set up for the main broadcasting room in news stations. Bret and Amelia are always censored when on screen, their forms being blurry and unfocused compared to the rest of the screen. It's to note that other people that are shown are not censored in any way.
The news station covers a wide variety of topics for the news from events that were in the past, present, future, and possibly even different dimensions. The events are all told with a hundred percent accuracy with dates, times, and locations being correct. Some of these events include.
May 5, 1821: Death of Napoleon on the island of St. Helen, including an interview with Major-General Sir Hudson Lowe and Betsy Balcombe.
1445: The invention of the Printing Press with an interview with Johannes Gutenberg.
April 3, 33: Death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Included interview of Pontius Pilate and an attempted one with Jesus Christ.
65,000,000 BC: Asteroid impact linked to the death of the dinosaurs.
November 3, 2016: Three days before election day of 2016. Donald Trump is elected president of the United States. Bret and Amelia are known to have lambasted the other news stations for biased polling.
July 16, 2033: Humans land on Mars.
August 10, 2051: Earth runs out of oil. Tensions rise between America and Russia over the last of the oil.
August 18, 2051: Human life on Earth ceases to exist due to nuclear war between America and Russia over oil.
August 19, 2051: Nuclear Fusion discovered. Bret and Amelia go into great detail of how it was discovered and works. (This is the first recorded case of the news station going into alternate dimensions by SCP scientists.)
December 11, 1962: An emergency broadcast from the date shown in played by the US Department of American Dignity and signed by President John F. Kennedy. The broadcast explains that America has surrendered to an unknown force and possibly occupied. Broadcast instructs all American citizens to commit mass suicide and for not even the kids and pets to be spared. The broadcast goes back to Bret and Amelia who apologize for the interruption. It's believed that they didn't plan for that to play.
