Description: SCP-XXXX is a series of five virtual-reality headsets produced by Prometheus Labs for the United States Military under Project Poltergeist in 20██.
When a headset is placed onto a subject's head, the subject will be rendered immobile, and the subject's consciousness will be displaced from their physical body via unknown means and projected into physical reality as a semi-corporeal thoughtform with limited intangibility and physical control on reality up to thirty meters away from the subject's physical body.
Removing the headset before the subject has reconnected their thought-projection to their physical body, will effectively kill the subject and their thoughtform projection will subsequentially vanish. Subjects who have successfully returned to their bodies by interacting with their physical body have likened the altered state of SCP-XXXX to an "out-of-body-experience".
