Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently contained at Site-23. It must be contained in a unit designed to contain large avian life. Due to the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX, all areas and equipment used to contain it are to be constructed from ferroniobium. SCP-XXXX must be fed daily 1 Kg of copper, in whatever shape or form, provided it doesn't include any non-metallic materials. Every 2 days, 100g of gold, silver or platinum may be given with the daily food supply in reward to good behavior. Once per day, SCP-XXXX must be released in a 10m x 10m enclosed space. The cage must be cleaned bi-weekly, and and all feathers collected must be sent to research and analysis.
Testing with SCP-XXXX must be authorized and supervised by staff with Level 2 security clearance.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a female bird, strongly resembling an specimen of harpy eagle (Harpia harpyja) but its covered in yellow feathers. Its size is slightly larger then non-anomalous specimens and weights 97 Kg. SCP-XXXX is composed entirely of gold string (SCP-XXXX-1), as can be seen when it uses its anomalous proprieties. It does not feed onany organic matter, and instead consumes metallic objects, alloys, metal ores and other sources of metal. It has shown a preference to consuming gold, and a refusal to consume niobium. Further analysis show that all metal consumed by SCP-XXXX becomes SCP-XXXX-1 through yet unknown methods. Despite its composition, SCP-XXXX is alive and behave like a common harpy eagle. It shows a good comprehension of human language, but it's unsure if it derives from a above average intelligence or from extensive training.
When a weapon is mentioned within SCP-XXXX's hearing range, it will take the form of said weapon, and in most cases, perform as expected of that weapon (see Experiment Log XXXX-72-20). During the transformation, it will fly to the hand of the person who said the weapon's name, or lay in the ground near the person if they're unable to hold it. SCP-XXXX will return to its original form upon hearing the name "Felicia". The shapeshifting doesn't seem to injure or distress SCP-XXXX, but repetitive use of its anomalous properties seem to tire it.
In ██/██/████, SCP-XXXX was recovered from a house in █████, Brazil that emmitted signs of interdimensional activity. Mobile Task Force Lambda-5 ("White Rabbits") was sent to investigate, but upon arrival, the anomaly had already subdued. Inside the house, there were no signs of life except SCP-XXXX. Traces of interdimensional travelling were detected and are under investigation.
Test A - Date ██/██/████
Word Vocalized: "Sword"
Initial Results: SCP-XXXX shapeshifted into a 80 cm dual-edged sword, much like the medieval weapon
Procedure: An agent proficient in sword fighting wielded SCP-XXXX in sword form in a mock battle against another agent.
Final Results: The agent reported that SCP-XXXX was "very light and balanced" and "easy to wield". Researchers carrying SCP-XXXX also claimed it was "lighter than expected". However, weighing SCP-XXXX in sword form shown that its weight was of 89 Kg.
Analysis: "It seems like it adapts its weight to fit the purpose of its current form. But how does it become lighter when held?" - Dr. Walcott
Test B - Date ██/██/████
Words Vocalized: "Mace", "Morningstar"
Initial Results: SCP-XXXX shapeshifted into a 100 cm mace when it heard the first command, and created only spikes when the second command was issued.
Procedure: A D-Class personnel in a closed room was ordered to destroy a wooden table placed near him with SCP-XXXX in morningstar form. The D-Class personnel was not informed of SCP-XXXX true nature
Final Results: The table was completely destroyed. When asked about SCP-XXXX, the D-Class personnel informed he believed it was actually made of the materials it mimicked (wood and iron) and claimed "It was really [REDACTED] heavy, but it packed a real punch. Took me less time then I thought it would". Further tests confirmed SCP-XXXX in morningstar form weighed as much as the sword form.
Analysis: "It's actual weight looks consistent, but the weight felt by the user apparently matches the weapon and its ideal use. Also, it can perfectly mimic wood. We must test for some kind of minor psychic illusion." - Dr. Walcott
Test C - Date ██/██/████
Word Vocalized: "Pistol"
Initial Results: SCP-XXXX initially didn't respond to the command, showing signs of confusion. A 9 mm ████ pistol was brought and shown to SCP-XXXX, which consumed the pistol after being taught what it was and how it worked. Afterwards, the command was repeated, and SCP-XXXX transformed in a pistol exactly like the one shown to it.
Procedure: Agent John ███ tried to use SCP-XXXX in pistol form on a target in the same testing room
Final Results: SCP-XXXX failed to fire, even when loaded with common 9 mm bullets. SCP-XXXX, seeing the research team reactions, interpreted the test as a failure, and became slightly distressed. SCP-XXXX also consumed the bullets. Pistol form weight was 12 Kg, but Agent John informed it felt like an actual pistol.
Analysis: "SCP-XXXX came from another world, and has a different knowledge about weaponry then us; It doesn't know what a pistol is, but maybe it'll knows stuff that we don't." - Dr. Walcott
Test D - Date ██/██/████
Word Vocalized: "Toaster"
Initial Results: SCP-XXXX didn't respond to the command and showed the same signs of confusion as before. A toaster was shown and used in front of SCP-XXXX, that looked at the researcher and shook its head. SCP-XXXX proceeded to consume the toaster.
Analysis: "Really, guys? SCP-XXXX isn't a pet that you teach tricks. Keep the testing to thigns that can ACTUALLY make us learn something." - Site-23 Director
Test E - Date ██/██/████
Words Vocalized: "Dagger", "War Hammer"
Initial Results: Upon hearing the first command, SCP-XXXX transformed into a dual-edged 30 cm dagger with slight resemblance to the japanese kunai.
Procedure: Agent John ███ threw the dagger in a target 5 meters away, while yelling the second command.
Final Results: SCP-XXXX transformed in a 120 cm war hammer mid-flight. Despise the size and weight change, SCP-XXXX kept momentum, destroyed the target and made a hole in the wall behind it
Analysis: "SCP-XXXX potential is enormous. With a well trained partner, I'm sure she can be an asset to the Foundation. I'm going to send a request to the higher-ups to introduce Felicia to one of the MTFs." - Dr. Walcott
Test F - Date ██/██/████
Words Vocalized: "Wings"
Procedure: ██████ ███████ was cleaning SCP-XXXX's cage while singing the song "Wings", of the group Little Mix, when it heard the word "Wings" and flew to ███████.
Final Results: SCP-XXXX transformed in a pair of golden wings attached to ██████ ███████, a member of the janitorial staff. ███████ became scared by the sudden ocurrence, and managed to fly around SCP-XXXX's cage for approximately 3 minutes, when a researcher approached and yelled "Felicia". SCP-XXXX immediately detached from its host, 2 meters above the ground. SCP-XXXX sustained no injuries from the incident; ███████ broke her arm in the fall.
Analysis: "Imagine if, or even better, WHEN we learn how to fly with Felicia?! The things we might achieve!" - Dr. Walcott
Addendum: In ██/██/████, Dr. Walcott sent a request to Site-23 Director to train a agent to work with SCP-XXXX and possibly join MTF Lambda-4 ("Bird Watchers").
Addendum: In ██/██/████, Site-23 Director forwarded Dr. Walcott's request to the O5 Council. Request still awaiting official response.
