SCP-XXXX in containment

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in the west wing of Site-35 in a high security locker inside a 32x32x35 cm acrylic case and resting on a foam mannequin head. The mannequin head should be replaced every three to ten weeks. The locker and case should be accessible to Level 2 personnel and above 3+ personnel only.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a pair of generic black rimmed glasses, with glass lens, and a plastic frame with small superficial scuffs.

Subjects have reported a strong desire to wear SCP-XXXX when within 5m of the object. When the subject gets closer than 5m to SCP-XXXX, the desire intensifies until the subject gets within 1m of SCP-XXXX when the subject no longer has any control over their actions and is forced to wear SCP-XXXX. Attempts to prevent this effect have been proven ineffective.

Once a subject wears SCP-XXXX small needles will insert themselves into the subject's cranium while attempting to remove some bodily fluids from the subject, it has been reported by subjects that attempting to taking off SCP-XXXX during this process is extremely painful, and when taken off successfully, the subject will hallucinate and have severe headaches for several weeks to months and leave behind superficial punctures, though these punctures are usually gone within an hour, and attempts to prevent these punctures have been met with failure, as either the needles penetrate the object blocking it, or SCP-XXXX does not have it's anomalous effect. When SCP-XXXX inserts its needles into the subject, it often heightens the auditory and visionary senses of it's wearer, although sometimes the object gives the exact opposite effect, along with having the wearer hallucinate various entities. This effect happens when SCP-XXXX does not fit the wearer, and attempts to take SCP-XXXX when it is ill-fitting on the subject, have resulted in SCP-XXXX's needles burrowing deeper into the subject's head and causing them damage to the brain and blood vessels.
