Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained within a water-proof cell in Site-██. SCP-XXXX is to be provided a constant source of water. Absolute humidity within SCP-XXXX’s containment area is to remain above 20%. A back-up reservoir is to be maintained in the event of a water supply failure. Personnel are to be closely monitored for signs of dehydration while in direct contact with SCP-XXXX and are to remain within 5 m of it for no more than 1 hour. SCP-XXXX is to be cleaned thoroughly following communication with SCP-XXXX-1.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a sliding shower door primarily composed of glass. One side of SCP-XXXX remains coated with a thin layer of condensate at nearly all times. SCP-XXXX gathers moisture from any liquids that enter within 5 m of it, with the rate of absorption accelerating the lower SCP-XXXX’s reserves are. Liquids absorbed into SCP-XXXX are stored via unknown means and then excreted as condensate.
SCP-XXXX-1 is an entity connected to SCP-XXXX. When direct contact is established with the dry side of SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 becomes able to perceive the voice of the subject. SCP-XXXX-1 can communicate via SCP-XXXX by writing in the condensate. Traces of human sebum and skin cells can be found within these writings. The DNA profile extracted from recovered skin cells is consistent with a human female of Caucasian descent and matches no archived profiles.
SCP-XXXX was recovered from the scene of an apparent suicide in ████████, California after Foundation agents embedded within local law enforcement received reports of a shower door on scene that spontaneously manifested writing. SCP-XXXX was retrieved along with a recently deceased male subject identified as D████ G██████. An autopsy confirmed the cause of death as severe cranial trauma secondary to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The body showed no anomalous properties and was incinerated as per standard protocol.
