Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is stored in a standard anomalous object storage locker in Site-XX. Prior to handling, all personnel involved must be screened for any history of aviation accidents. The written approval of at least two (2) level 4 or higher personnel must be obtained prior to any form of testing.

Description: SCP-XXXX currently takes the form of a 1:64 scale model of a Boeing 737 aircraft. SCP-XXXX is entirely composed of materials typically found in aircraft and appears to replicate the original aircraft down to the smallest detail, though damage incurred to the original craft makes a truly accurate comparison impossible. SCP-XXXX manifests its anomalous properties upon direct contact with any persons having survived an aviation accident. Criteria for activating SCP-XXXX are as follows: the subject must have been aboard the afflicted aircraft, the aircraft must have been a powered flight model, and the aircraft must have impacted the ground during the accident.

Once contacted by an individual fulfilling these criteria, SCP-XXXX will precisely replicate the accident. SCP-XXXX, the subject, and all persons within a 10m radius will vanish, with even observation by high speed cameras failing to record the moment of disappearance. Following this, a replica of the original craft will appear, designated SCP-XXXX-1, and impact the area where SCP-XXXX was activated. Damage patterns, cause, and the number of fatalities will be identical to the original incident. The subject will fulfill their original role, with other affected persons randomly fulfilling the roles of other passengers and crew members. If the numbers of persons within the area of effect is insufficient, SCP-XXXX will generate exact replicas of the original passengers, designated SCP-XXXX-2.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 replicate the original persons down to their DNA and behave exactly as the original did during the accident. Persons within the area of effect during activation will act out their roles precisely, even in the face of outside interference. Attempts at contacting pilots through flight radio have proven futile, as they will stick to the original script even if the radio is jammed. Subjects and SCP-XXXX-2 instances will sustain identical injuries to the original victims and will continue to act out their roles for thirty (30) minutes following impact. At this time subjects will revert to normal functioning with no memory of the incident, and instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will cease all biological functioning. The corpses of SCP-XXXX-2 possess no abnormal properties. Injuries sustained by living subjects will remain even after the activation has concluded.

SCP-XXXX will be recovered unharmed within the wreckage and will have transformed into a 1:64 scale model of the aircraft involved. The wreckage created by activations of SCP-XXXX possesses no anomalous traits and useful materials may be remanded into Foundation custody for standard use. SCP-XXXX was recovered from XXXXXX apartments on XX/XX/XXXX after catastrophic destruction of the complex.

Subject: D-1354, a convicted hijacker. Hijacked aircraft was landed safely.
Details: SCP-XXXX failed to activate.

Subject: D-1768, involved in a cargo plane crash.
Details: SCP-XXXX-1 crashed after its cargo shifted. 3 instances of SCP-XXXX-2 were generated, with 2 of them expiring on impact. D-1768 and the surviving instance of SCP-XXXX-2 both suffered moderate burns and severe lacerations. D-1768 retained these injuries even after the test concluded. Undamaged cargo has been remanded into Foundation custody for standard use.

Subject: Agent XXXXXX, involved in a minor helicopter crash
Details: SCP-XXXX-1 experienced a tail-rotor failure and crashed 12 minutes after commencement of testing. Five (5) instances of SCP-XXXX-2 were generated, corresponding to the other agents aboard the craft. Researcher XXXXX attempted to communicate with SCP-XXXX-2 and Agent XXXXXX during the experiment, but all subjects remained on script, ignoring the presence of an extra person. SCP-XXXX-1 showed no lingering anomalous effects and suffered only minor damage, so it has been transported to a Foundation hangar for standard use after repair. All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 expired 30 minutes after the crash. Agent XXXXXX displayed no memory of the test.

Subject: Agent XXXXXX. 5 D-class personnel were also placed within the zone of effect.
Details: Results were nearly identical to the earlier test. No instances of SCP-XXXX-2 were generated. Instead, the D-class personnel acted as the other agents, perfectly replicating the actions of the original accident. None of the test subjects retained any memory of the event.

Subject: Researcher XXXXX, involved in a hang-glider accident
Details: SCP-XXXX failed to activate. It is confirmed that only accidents involving powered flight can activate its effects.

Subject: D-4569. Subject was aboard an aircraft that suffered engine failure and executed a successful emergency landing.
Details: SCP-XXXX failed to activate.

Subject: Dr. XXXX, crashed his personal aircraft. Subject suffered a below-the-knee amputation of the right leg
Details: SCP-XXXX-1 crashed due to pilot error after suffering a malfunction of its altimeter four (4) minutes after testing began. One instance of SCP-XXXX-2 was generated. Dr. XXXX suffered a traumatic amputation to the right leg, with more tissue being present than before testing. Thirty (30) minutes after impact, SCP-XXXX-2 expired and Dr. XXXX regained his usual functioning, expressing confusion as to why his amputation site was bleeding. The remains of his right leg were located wedged beneath the pilot’s seat. The remains were too severely mangled for any attempt at reattachment.

Subject: D-1889, survivor of a mid-air collision
Details: SCP-XXXX-1 collided with another spontaneously generated plane 7 minutes after initiation of the test, hereafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-1A. SCP-XXXX-1A suffered a catastrophic structural failure of its cabin and crashed into the ground at a speed exceeding 600 kph, leading to complete destruction of the aircraft and its occupants. SCP-XXXX-1 suffered loss of its right wingtip and severe damage to the hydraulics in the affected area, and crash landed some distance away from the wreckage of SCP-XXXX-1A. Out of 176 passengers aboard SCP-XXXX-1, D-1889 and 52 instances of SCP-XXXX-2 survived the impact. All surviving instances of SCP-XXXX-2 expired 30 minutes after impact. Analysis of SCP-XXXX-1A’s wreckage yielded 211 distinct DNA profiles, all of which matched the passengers aboard the original flight. SCP-XXXX-1A breached the test perimeter, causing significant damage to nearby facilities. All further testing involving two or more aircraft has been suspended.

Subject: D-2008, involved in a minor commuter plane crash
Details: SCP-XXXX-1 performed an emergency landing due to dual engine failure 9 minutes after testing commenced. Personnel attempted contact through the air traffic control frequency but received only identical responses as those on the cockpit recorder transcript from the original flight. These responses occurred even in the absence of all radio contact. 23 instances of SCP-XXXX-2 were generated, and all safely exited SCP-XXXX-1 along with D-2008 following a failed emergency landing. All SCP-XXXX-2 instances expired 30 minutes after impact.

+ Incident MA-12

A second test was conducted with subject D-2008. A crash landing occurred that was identical to the earlier test. Personnel attempted to restrain an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 following impact to observe the effects its absence would have on the test. The instance of SCP-XXXX-2 suddenly displayed incredibly elevated strength and severely injured Agent XXX in the course of forcing its way back to the wreckage. Detailed analysis of the remains showed no explanation for this elevated strength. Further testing has been suspended in light of the potential dangers posed by instances of SCP-XXXX-2.
