Special Containment Procedures: As SCP-XXXX has shown no violent tendencies and shows no capability to escape either to lack of strength or lack of interest to escape, it is to be contained in a standard containment cell at Site 06-3 and is to be watched by a minimum of one Class C guard or in the event of experiments carried out by researchers, a minimum of two Class C guards. Personnel tasked with the security and/or the responsibility of experimenting of SCP-XXXX are to be immediately informed of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties as to not be affected by said properties.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid creature resembling that of an old short and skinny woman, it does not blink, eat, sleep, nor drink. SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties are that it can alter memories using a pitch in her voice with a, as of now, unknown decibel count. The pitch will then activate the regions of the brain responsible for memories, emotions, and dreams. Respectively the limbic system, the amygdala within the limbic system, and the cortex will activate during its speech and victims of SCP-XXXX will then enter a dream state while being fully awake. While the victim is in this dream state, SCP-XXXX will then manipulate their memories in multiple ways to its satisfaction. This includes, but is not limited to,
- Replacing years of memories with falsified psuedo-memories created by SCP-XXXX
- renaming significant others with archaic names from multiple mythologies such as Sisyphus, Hephaestus, Zeus, Pluto, Balder, Agni, Bakasura, etc.
- Replacing mental illnesses and essentially forcing the said victim to believe they are afflicted with some other or additional mental illnesses.
- Convincing victims of falsified addictions such as marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, and its own imagined drug, "happiness".
- And erasing multiple events from the victim's life such as birthdays, marriages, and grief over deaths.
The pitch only works on others who are mentally ill and have no prior knowledge of its abilities. No personnel, save for D class subjected to experiments, are to be allowed to speak to SCP-XXXX until informed of its abilities. Individuals affected by SCP-XXXX cannot reconstruct previously lost memories. Attempts to wipe all memory with the use of amnestics have proved futile as memories manipulated by SCP-XXXX remain while all else is lost. These individuals are to be contained near SCP-XXXX in separate cells and are to be now referred to as SCP-XXXX-1.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was found when multiple 911 calls were placed in ███████, Canada. Each call claimed several things and were all alike, most notably the common factor that their homes were being invaded by multiple strangers. Calls have been recorded by agents placed within Canadian police departments and are now transcripted below.
