Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: As GoI #715 has yet to be discovered, containment of SCP-XXXX consists of searching for these individuals, and preventing the circumstances that allow them to act.
Foundation agents in major population centers are to remain on the lookout for news of large public gatherings of SCP-XXXX-1 (i.e. pride parades). When such an event is discovered, MTF Gamma-4 (“Confirmed Bachelors”) is to be dispatched to disrupt their formation. Agents are to infiltrate organizations coordinating the gatherings, and either dissuade or sabotage their leadership.
By order of the Ethics Committee, agents are not permitted to accomplish this through physical force or threats of such. Order repealed by O5 Command.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a mechanism through which the local occurrence of anomalous phenomena increases proportionally to the visible presence of homosexual and relatedly divergent individuals, referred to collectively as SCP-XXXX-1. The effects of this mechanism were first discovered on 06/28/1969, in Manhattan, New York, after the outbreak of a riot increased the occurrence of anomalous phenomena within the city by ██.█%, and nationally by █.█%.
This mechanism is believed to be propagated by a group of unknown size, but massive influence and extreme secrecy, referred to as GoI-715. It has been theorized that they have some connection to the Chaos Insurgency, but this is unverified, as captured members of this group resist all known forms of interrogation, universally professing ignorance, even under anomalous coercion. While ██% have given some form of confession, this information is often inaccurate, and has never resulted in the detainment of more than ██ members or suspected members (all of whom are equally resistant.)
As human population increases, and communication advances, it is theorized that SCP-XXXX will increase in strength, resulting in an SK-Class “Broken Masquerade” scenario by 20██. For this reason, disruption of large-scale homosexual organizations is a top-level priority, as is the continued search for the leadership of GoI-715.
Form 80-M: Request for Alteration or Relief of Duties
Name: Lee Johnson
Position: MTF Gamma-4 Operational Commander
Request: Retirement Resignation
Reason: Age Other
Comments:
However high up this goes,
I was one of the youngest MTF agents on record when Gamma-4 was formed. I was bright-eyed, naive, ready to do whatever it took to keep the world safe, willing to pay any price and cross any line. Now I’m in charge of it, with failing eyes and aching knees, and as I look back over everything I’ve done in the last forty years, I can look back at my accomplishments, and see them for what they are: Nothing.
I told the team how I felt, when I was talking to them about planning to retire. I thought it’d just be me rambling on, an old man who can’t bear the weight of his sins. Seems I was wrong, I must have rubbed off on them. Adds a bit of legitimacy to what I’m about to write next.
This is a joint resignation for the entirety of MTF Gamma-4. We’re done chasing shadows for you. There is no GoI-715. Whatever’s going on with XXXX, I can say with four decades of confidence that it’s not a plot or a conspiracy. There’s nobody pulling the strings, no secret society of gay wizards trying to destroy the world. It’s just us, torturing people whose only crime was to want to not be ashamed. If this is the normalcy you’re going to protect, we’re not going to help any more.
Status: DENIED
After Agent Lee Johnson’s attempt to coerce MTF Gamma-4 into resignation, interrogation was performed to determine his motivations and if he had been compromised by GoI-715. With previous results inconclusive, Doctor Jean O’Leary, Foundation psychoanalyst and frequent consultant on interviews with suspected GoI-715 members, is brought in to speak with him.
Doctor O'Leary enters the interrogation room, escorted by two security personnel. Agent Johnson lifts his head to view her, but does not otherwise move against his restraints.
Doctor O’Leary: You’re looking better than I expected, Lee.
Agent Johnson: Thanks, Doc, but you’re still not my type.
[Extraneous conversation removed. Doctor O’Leary is reprimanded for overly-casual language and instructed to maintain a professional tone.]
O'Leary: Can you tell me why you felt it necessary to attempt to disband Gamma-4?
Johnson: You mean aside from 40 years of war crimes and the hundreds of bodies we’ve piled up chasing ghosts?
O'Leary: Please answer the question, Agent.
Johnson: Fine. Short version, the projections have been wrong for years. Yeah, there’ve been a few blips now and then whenever some big celebrity comes out, but on the whole, the effect hasn’t been getting worse, it’s been reversing. If anything, XXXX is helping.
O'Leary: If you have a theory about XXXX, you should have forwarded it to a member of the research team with proper qualifications to-
Johnson: You don’t need a degree to read a line graph, Doc!
Agent Johnson attempts to stand, becoming agitated. Security personnel give a verbal warning and ready their weapons, and Johnson returns to his seat with no further incident.
Johnson: Look at the data. Once you factor out growth in population and deliberate creation, independent anomalous phenomena are down half a percent from this time last year. Whatever 1970s paranoia said about XXXX, that’s not what’s going on. There is no gay agenda, Doctor O’Leary. There never has been. We've always been here. We’re just people trying to get by.
O'Leary: Hold on a moment. “We?”
Johnson: Wait, really? You never knew? Guess you missed the hints when I told you that you weren’t my type, huh?
We made a mistake.
Despite common perception, each of us in the O5 is still very human, capable of illogical, even harmful superstitions and prejudices. Despite our best attempts to resolve such issues, a few can slip through the cracks, and our previous handling of SCP-XXXX is one such occurence, one which has proven detrimental both to the Foundation's mission, and to humanity as a whole.
As such, from here onward, the Foundation will begin to rectify this mistake as best we can, and to repair the damage we have done to the acceptance of SCP-XXXX-1, both internally and globally. Diversity is not a dirty word, and we will no longer refer to it as such. Vocal expression to the contrary will be strongly discouraged, with consequences up to and including termination of employment.
It is our understanding that some of you may be bothered by this decision. For anyone who feels this way, resignations will be accepted, no questions asked, with no punishment or retaliation. You will be amnesticized and returned to nonanomalous scientific employment, with memories and work histories constructed to ensure a seamless transition into civilian life, as well as a severance package of two months' salary, just as you would for retiring or resigning for any other reason.
If you feel tempted by this offer, I strongly encourage you to take it.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Thaumiel
Special Containment Procedures: Foundation agents embedded in major population centers are to remain on the lookout for organizations or proposed legislation that would prove detrimental or harmful to the well-being and acceptance of SCP-XXXX-1. When necessary, MTF Gamma-4 ("Confimed Bachelors") is to be dispatched to disrupt the formation of these organizations and legislation. Agents are to infiltrate groups attempting to create such threats, and either dissuade or sabotage their leadership.
By order of the Ethics Committee, agents are not permitted to accomplish this through physical force or threats of such, but are not to intervene when such acts are performed by civilian populations.
Additionally, the existence of SCP-XXXX is to remain at the minimum practical Clearance Level within the Foundation, and a workplace culture of support for SCP-XXXX-1 is to be maintained at all times.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a naturally-occurring mechanism through which the local occurrence of anomalous phenomena decreases proportionally to the local acceptance of individuals with marginalized orientations and/or gender identity (coloquially, "LGBTA+" or "MOGAI"), referred to collectively as SCP-XXXX-1. The effects of this mechanism were first discovered on 06/28/1969, in Manhattan, New York, after the outbreak of a riot increased the occurrence of anomalous phenomena within the city by ██.█%, and nationally by █.█%.
This mechanism fluctuates over time, especially in the occurence of major legislation or the public reveal of prominent figures and celebrities as SCP-XXXX-1. However, the effects of SCP-XXXX have been shown to decrease anomalous phenomena over time, especially in instances of landmark social or legal victories for SCP-XXXX-1 causes. (For example, the US Supreme Court decision of Obergefell v. Hodges reduced anomalous occurences within the United States by ██.█% over a course of six months.)
Research indicates that the effects of SCP-XXXX will continue to strengthen over time as human population grows and acceptance of SCP-XXXX-1 becomes mainstream, with a theoretical upper limit of a ██.█% reduction globally by 21██.
