Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Apollyon/Explained

Special Containment Procedure: Due to the potensial extra spatio-temporal nature of SCP-XXXX, containment and archival is at best impossible and at worst fatal/annihilative/cataclysmic, often resulting in a Erebos class erasure event in which the individuals involved are expunged from existence along with all accounts, memories or any form of archive that records them. These individuals are only known to may have existed as a result of documents recovered from SCP-1437, detailing a parallel universe in which they did, do or will not attempt to contain or catalog SCP-XXXX and its effects. Even writing this puts me, the writer, you, the reader, and the foundation at a severe risk of the aforementioned erasure. Because of this risk, All known documentation detailing SCP-XXXX is recommended to be destroyed immediately by allowing it to come into contact with/feeding it to/jettisoning it out of/erasing it with/dropping it into/ by means of SCP-██. Due to SCP-XXXX’s seemingly unlimited ability to manipulate time, including, but not limited to past, present and future events events, any records of changes that SCP-XXXX may or may not have made to this or any other timeline are themselves altered by its changes. Thus, any of its effects are fundamentally impossible to record without communication with a parallel universe, at which point these effects may or may not become apparent. The only known or unknown method of possibly detecting or not detecting the effects of SCP-XXXX is through the phenomenon known to the general public as “deja vu”. At the moment, a large misinformation campaign is underway to prevent accidental discovery of SCP-XXXX by disseminating the idea that “deja vu” is caused by a delay in communication between various regions in the brain as opposed to the splitting of timelines. Due to the impossibility of containment, worship has been repeatedly recommended as the only means to ensure that SCP-XXXX does not initiate a ZK-Class end of world scenario, against which the foundation would be powerless.

Description: SCP-XXXX is hypothesized to be the only an extra-dimensional object/construct/demon/angel/deity/[Data Expunged] entity or perhapse event with or without extreme reality altering capabilities, apparently able to manipulate the past, present, future at will along with the events of timelines parallel to our own. As a result, it is theorized that SCP-XXXX may be the reason behind the wide variety of differences between parallel universes, suggesting that SCP-XXXX may reside outside the multiverse. If proven correct, this would mean that that SCP-XXXX may or may not be an 11 dimensional life-form. SCP-XXXX appears to lack form and is currently undetectable by any known instruments. As a result, SCP-XXXX may or may not be an entity lacking any sort of ability or desire to interact with the electromagnetic spectrum. Because of this, and the fact that SCP-XXXX’s changes are, at their core, impossible to prove, SCP-XXXX’s existence is currently considered speculative. Due to this, many foundation personnel, such as Dr. ████, Dr. █████, Dr. ███, and Overseer ███ have repeatedly recommended that SCP-XXXX’s documentation be destroyed out of the realization that SCP-XXXX may not even exist, and is instead some form of elaborate prank or joke. However, proponents for the existence of SCP-XXXX site documents obtained from SCP-1437, often detailing radically different worlds populated by individuals dissimilar to those present in this one. Despite this, many still insist that this does not prove SCP-XXXX’s existence, as said variations may instead be the result of slight deviations in conditions present at the big bang of the respective parallel universe or laws of physics that differ slightly from our own in said universe. In response to this argument, advocates for SCP-XXXX’s existence highlight that “deja vu” appears to occur more around certain objects or entities, arguing that these are “hotspots” for the influence of SCP-XXXX. Once again, opponents are quick to refute this argument, citing that these objects themselves may be SCPs that merely have the mild memetic effect of causing said “deja vu”, and that this still is not sufficient evidence for the existence of SCP-XXXX. This debate day continues to this day in the upper management of the foundation, and has resulted in a collection of foundation personnel in support of the existence of SCP-XXXX to go rogue, forming the GOI "Praetheon's Will", apparently with the express purpose of worshiping SCP-XXXX. For further information regarding this organization, see Addendum XXXX-1.
