To-do list
-change so that computers only blow up when sending not receiving
-create logs from Sergey Page
-change life conditions to instance no longer craving sustenance. After 2 hours (water) of becoming they are weaker to the urges. After 3 days the start needing the energy
-does SCP-500 cure? I think not because it is a change to the contents of the mind.
-someone trying to create something to connect people which becomes anomalous and separates them from the world (ie. the virus does it) as an explanation or origin.
-I’m thinking I’ll replace the current experiment on there with an autopsy/experiment that provides an explanation for the frontal lobe.
-change the properties to not just directly end a person so that it changes their behavior and desires.
-reduce the amount of viruses that can be spread from one computer from 50 to 5 to compensate.
-as they code the brain necrosis more slowly doing it, deteriorating the mind

Special Containment Procedures: Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be sedated and contained inside stasis chambers located at Site-15. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be sedated before and during containment inside Site-15. Sedation is only necessary for the frontal lobe of the brain and should be administered accordingly. The stasis chamber must be outfitted with a dispensation mechanism that deploys a chemical tracker whenever the chamber is opened. Each chamber must be supplied with a constant 300 watts per hour to be directly transmitted to the brains of SCP-XXXX-1 via head cable. Under no circumstances may an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 be allowed access to a computer with access to other computers, especially one with access to computers outside Site-15 and the Foundation.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous digital entity with the ability to cause rapid, significant changes to human brains. XXXX can be presented to computer users in a multitude of ways that so far include, presentation as a software update, scam-like email, email impersonation, and download from an online advertisement. It is unknown if XXXX has any other forms of transmission.

When a user allows SCP-XXXX to download itself they are immediately affected and become an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. The computer that received the download will subsequently terminate its software. While transmission of SCP-XXXX to the new SCP-XXXX-1 instance is nearly instant, full takeover of the user takes a varying amount of time. The instance of SCP-XXXX-1 will lose all control to SCP-XXXX after it spreads a new virus of SCP-XXXX once. The afflicted individual will no longer process sustenance which will cause a deficit in food and water. After about two (2) hours, lack of water will cause the instance to be more susceptible to the urge to spread SCP-XXXX. After spreading a new SCP-XXXX virus, the brain of the instance undergoes various changes. These changes include, gradual necrosis of the non frontal lobes of the brain, over activity of the CA3 region, memory changes, and significant changes in mental state. Because of this, XXXX prefers younger users as their frontal lobes are less developed and their will to resist spreading SCP-XXXX is weaker. Instances will require an alternate energy source after 3 days without the ability to process sustenance. SCP-XXXX-1 instances require about 258.2 watts per hour from this point which allows the contents of XXXX and the instance’s operating brain matter to function. Curiously, the rest of the body of an SCP-XXXX-1 instance does not require nutrients yet still functions normally. Instances usually only have one (1) hour before termination after 3 days of becoming an instance. It is possible for instances to gain more energy and continue living, although this must be done with a direct connection of electricity to the instance’s brain which is unattainable for most instances. It is estimated that only 7% of instances survive more than this hour and only 3% remain alive long enough to be contained.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will seek out computers with connections to other computers. They will use these devices to “code” and create a new and changed version of SCP-XXXX. The necessary components of SCP-XXXX are unknown and it appears that only SCP-XXXX-1 instances can create SCP-XXXX. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are able to create SCP-XXXX at an incredible rate without mistake. However, when searching for a computer it is found that instances are sluggish. Once finished the new SCP-XXXX will be dispersed to up to 5 connected computers. The computer used to spread SCP-XXXX will subsequently lose function and experience extreme hardware malfunction rendering it inoperable. It has been noted that computers that have weaker security, have an older model, or already have computer viruses are affected more often.

It should also be noted that SCP-XXXX-1 instances have a weak ability to cause electrical malfunctions at the cost of their own energy. Instances are unable to use this property when sedated.

Discovery: The first instance of SCP-XXXX-1 was discovered on 19██/9/4 in a █████ Park, California garage owned by Susan Mikhaylovich. This was the first known instance of SCP-XXXX-1 and its perceived origin. Along with the instance the computer used for transmission was found in the garage and personal logs inside were recovered (See Addendum XXXX-3) .This was also the largest known transmission of SCP-XXXX, breaking the observed maximum of 5. Such a widespread transmission attracted the attention of the Foundation and all resulting instances of SCP-XXXX-1 from the incident were contained or found terminated within 336 hours.

Request XXXX-3263-a
Dr. Paumanok has requested permission to administer a Positron emission tomography (PET) scan to an SCP-XXXX-1 instance. Request has been approved.

Request XXXX-3263-b
Dr. Paumanok has requested that sedation at all times and the use of chemical trackers instead of electronic trackers be added to Special Containment Procedures. Request has been approved.

Addendum XXXX-1: Request XXXX-3263-a approved. An instance of SCP-XXXX-1 was taken out of its stasis chamber for the administration of a positron emission tomography (PET) scan. The electronic tracker from the dispensation system was functional. The instance of SCP-XXXX-1 was contained by the Foundation six (6) days ago and is not subject to more extensive brain degradation found in older subjects. The PET scan began one (1) hour after the radiotracer was injected into the bloodstream. It was necessary to stop sedation of the subject for the duration of the scan. After half an hour of the scan data revealed that all neurons firing was localized to the frontal lobe and hippocampus. The neurons in the CA3 region of the brain was found to be most active. No more information could be gathered after this point.

Addendum XXXX-2: Request XXXX-3263-b approved. The Special Containment Procedures will now include sedation at all times and the use of chemical trackers instead of electronic trackers. This follows in response to Incident 1 (See Incident Report XXXX-1).

Incident Report XXXX-1:
An instance of SCP-XXXX-1 caused a containment breach after the subject stoped being sedated for a PET scan. The instance managed to cause a malfunction in the electronic door locks allowing it to escape temporary containment. Its electronic tracker additionally was susceptible to malfunction and did not aid its recapture and subsequent containment.
