Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held within a cell that is designed to withstand the force of its detonation. The object seems to become dirtier and rustier with every passing month, so it must be cleaned along with the cell that it is contained in. The cell is to be maintained every 3 months due to the object's explosive activity. A viewing area is only available any month in which the object is not scheduled to explode. If an individual has major brain trauma after experiencing the blast, they are to be rushed to the nearest medical bay as soon as possible. If an individual dies after experiencing the blast, they must be forgotten as SCP-XXXX does not like to hear others talk about the individuals that it has killed. While cleaning the cell, it is mandatory that no conversation is made with the warhead, as it may become too attached to the individual cleaning. If SCP-XXXX sounds threatening in any manner, leave the cell immediately.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a Cold War era nuclear warhead. The warhead has a length of 3 meters and a mass of 18 kg, notably less massive than its size would suggest. The object seems to be sentient as well, as it can react to voices, but the object itself is incapable of movement or speech. SCP-XXXX can only speak through voices in the cell. These voices are known as SCP-XXXX-1. The voices of SCP-XXXX-1 are recognized as previous victims of the object's actions. SCP-XXXX is also able to read the minds of anyone who walks into their cell.

Every 3 months, SCP-XXXX detonates, causing any human that hears it major brain trauma and, in the worst case, death. The effects of the sound do not apply to recordings. Depending on the object's mood, an unrestricted blast from the object can be anywhere from 50 m to 100 m, a notably smaller radius than most nuclear weaponry. If no action is done to treat the trauma, victims will experience a vague representation of a labor camp in the USSR. The experience was described to have officers, hard labor, and a scarce amount of food. After approximately 20 hours, the victim will wake up from the experience, however the brain trauma continues to stay with the victim. Despite SCP-XXXX exploding, it always seems to be unfazed after every blast.

Foreword: One week before the interview, SCP-XXXX exploded out of the scheduled time. Agent Benitz was sent in to investigate the reason, as he has the most knowledge of SCP-XXXX. The following is the first interview with SCP-XXXX. The audio was recorded outside of the object's cell.

Begin Log, 4:36 P.M.

Agent Benitz: Hello? SCP-XXXX? Are you in here?

SCP-XXXX-1: (no response)

Agent Benitz: SCP-XXXX, it's Agent Benitz, are you in this room?

SCP-XXXX-1: Hello, Mr. Benitz. I am here. How are you?

Agent Benitz: I'm doing great, let's initiate the interview, shall we? Is there any particular reason you went off before your scheduled date?

SCP-XXXX-1: You aren't going to ask how I am?

Agent Benitz: Hm?

SCP-XXXX-1: I asked you how you are, so you should ask me how I am. It's polite.

Agent Benitz: My mistake, how are you?

SCP-XXXX-1: I'm doing great, thank you for asking.

Agent Benitz: That's good, anyways, we would like to know why you detonated before your scheduled date.

SCP-XXXX-1: We? Who is we?

Agent Benitz: The Foundation. We would like to know.

SCP-XXXX-1: Why?

Agent Benitz: Because your actions weren't expected. Now, if you would, please answer the question. Why did you detonate early?

SCP-XXXX-1: Of course, my apologies. He made me angry, simple as that.

Agent Benitz: Who did?

SCP-XXXX-1: The cleaning man, I do not know his name.

Agent Benitz: I see, that must be where he went.

SCP-XXXX-1: Where did he go?

Agent Benitz: Well, you b-… You know what, never mind.

SCP-XXXX-1: I blew up, I know, you may finish your sentence.

Agent Benitz: Yes, you blew up. But why?

SCP-XXXX-1: Well, whenever I blow up, the annoying people go away and I can be alone.

Agent Benitz: I see, what did he do to annoy you?

SCP-XXXX-1: He missed a spot while cleaning my cell, it would have been very annoying to see the spot every day until my cell was cleaned again.

Agent Benitz: Now, is it possible that a spot would have drastically impacted your abilities?

SCP-XXXX-1: My abilities of detonating? Of course, it's always possible.

Agent Benitz: Do you feel any remorse from what you've done?

SCP-XXXX-1: Why would I?

Agent Benitz: Because he's gone now, he can't come back.

SCP-XXXX-1: (pause) What do you mean? He is right here.

Agent Benitz: I am afraid he's not with us anymore. He died due to your actions.

SCP-XXXX-1: (using the voice of the janitor) I never left, Mr. Benitz, I'm here, and I have always been here.

Agent Benitz: SCP-XXXX, I'm not stupid, I know that isn't them. I want answers now.

SCP-XXXX-1: You should not be testing me, Mr. Benitz.

Agent Benitz: (pause) Of course, my mistake. I believe that is all we need from you. Thank you, SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-1: Now, Mr. Benitz. Do not take me for a fool. I know you have other questions for me. Please, continue.

Agent Benitz: No, I believe that's all.

SCP-XXXX-1: Continue. Ask anything. It doesn't even have to be about what I have done.

Agent Benitz: (pause) Alright. What is your favorite color?

SCP-XXXX-1: I like the color silver, it is very nice. It is also the color of these walls. But I like the color of your eyes, green is an interesting color.

Agent Benitz: Thank you, I would compliment your eyes, but I don't think you have any.

SCP-XXXX-1: Very funny, Mr. Benitz.

Agent Benitz: Yes, well, I should get going.

SCP-XXXX-1: Don't make me repeat myself. It hurts me that you would even want to leave. I thought we were having a nice time, and it has been so long since I have had an actual conversation with a human like you.

Agent Benitz: I'm sorry, I would never want to hurt you, but I must go.

SCP-XXXX-1: My apologies, Mr. Benitz. But I cannot allow that. I do not want to be alone again.

Agent Benitz: (into radio) Open the door, this interview is over.

SCP-XXXX-1: I'm sorry, Mr. Benitz. I have no choice, you cannot leave me. You must stay with me.

(A blast can be heard)

Closing Statement: It is confirmed that Agent Benitz has died. Janitors have reported hearing his voice from SCP-XXXX, but that has not been confirmed yet.

Foreword: 6 days before the interview, Agent Benitz died due to a blast from SCP-XXXX. Agent Bernard was sent in to check on SCP-XXXX's emotions, and to be cautious and respectful of SCP-XXXX's boundaries.

Begin Log, 3:45 P.M.

Agent Bernard: Hello, SCP-XXXX, I am Agent Bernard. How are you feeling today?

SCP-XXXX-1: Why the hell should I tell you? None of you are even nice to me. In fact, the ONLY nice person wanted to leave me.

Agent Bernard: I know you're feeling emotional after the event, but is there anything that you would like to talk about?

SCP-XXXX-1: (no response)

Agent Bernard: SCP-XXXX, if you are comfortable with the question, please answer.

SCP-XXXX-1: Mr. Bernard, I'm sorry for how I lashed out at you, please accept my apology.

Agent Bernard: You're fine, just tell me how you're doing.

SCP-XXXX-1: I'm doing fine, how are you?

Agent Bernard: I'm good, anything else you'd like to say?

SCP-XXXX-1: Yes. I was wondering if my class could be changed? I believe I have changed my ways, so I think becoming the Safe class would suit me well.

Agent Bernard: I'm afraid we can't do that, I'm sorry SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-1: (sigh) That's fine. I'm sorry for asking. But I've also been thinking of some jokes, would you like to hear them?

Agent Bernard: Sure.

SCP-XXXX-1: What does a clock do when it's hungry?

Agent Bernard: What?

SCP-XXXX-1: It goes back four seconds.

Agent Bernard: (Agent Bernard does a convincing fake laugh)

SCP-XXXX-1: You're faking that laugh, aren't you?

Agent Bernard: No, I thought it was pretty funny.

SCP-XXXX-1: Okay, good. I'll try to work on more.

Agent Bernard: That's great. I hope you can tell me some more soon. But I have to go now, is that okay with you?

SCP-XXXX-1: That is fine, I hope I see you soon again.

Agent Bernard: Of course. Goodbye, SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-1: (using the voice of Agent Benitz) Goodbye, Agent Bernard.
