Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4068 must be kept in a 1x1 room in order to leave it no space to reproduce. His cage must not be opened in any occasion, not even for feeding, as it doesn’t need food or water to survive. While in its cage, it must not be able to move. In case of containment breach, all sensible data of the site must be destroyed and all personnel must evacuate or stay hidden until an MTF squad arrives to the site. Since SCP-4068’s class was changed to Thaumiel, it resides in Site-█████. The entity is allowed to freely roam around the site, but the permission to reproduce must be given by the Site Director only in case of containment breach of another SCP. Requests of using SCP-4068 in other sites or various operation must be approved by an O5 Council Member.
Description: SCP-4068 is a male Caucasian around the age of ██. However its exact age cannot be determined as it claims to be immortal. In fact its organism doesn’t seem to age, and it doesn’t need food nor water to survive. In ██/██/██ it was discovered that the entity can even survive without air. SCP-4068 as the ability to duplicate itself for an undefined amount of time, by a process similar to mitosis. Said process is described as “disturbing and disgusting”. After the multiplication there is no original SCP-4068, as every copy is identical to the other in every way. They seem to be able to share informations with the others telepathically for a maximum of ████ km of distance. If a part of SCP-4068 is too far from the others, it starts developing its own personality and memories.
**Addendum 4068-1:* Many years ago the entity now classified as SCP-4068 was known to the Foundation as http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-048. At that time scientist weren’t able to obtain many information about the entity, and it ended up escaping on the night of ██/██/██ by reproducing itself in 78 units and destroying part of the site it was kept in. Seven (7) years later it was found sedated inside a Chaos Insurgency bunker. In the following months other units of SCP-4068 were found nearby.
Addendum 4068-2: On ██/██/██, a unit of SCP-4068 presented itself to the Foundation with sensible data about Chaos Insurgency and other SCPs. It shared information about the location of http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-4009 and gave to the Foundation http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-4095.
After this event, SCP-4068’s class was changed from Keter to Tahumiel, and the Foundation began to use it to locate and secure other SCPs.
Addendum 4068-3: On ██/██/██, 59 units of SCP-4068 were used to stop SCP-███ after its containment breach. The operation is described as a “real success”, increasing the trust that the Foundation puts in SCP-4068.
Addendum 4068-4: A unit of SCP-4068 has been found in Italy, precisely in █████. However, this unit seems to have spent too much time away from the others, and has developed its own personality. It’s also not aware of its capabilities, and has no memories about The Foundation. Some scientist believe that this unit was generated before SCP-4068 was captured for the first time. To avoid useless attentions, the Foundation as allowed the unit to live its life, but it is surveilled by two (2) MTF agents plainclothes. On ██/██/██ the unit killed itself. The cause of the action is described by the surveillance agents as “depression after personal loss”.
