SCP-3309: The Kid

SCP-3309-the First entirely human, not-anomalous SCP. Nickname: The Kid. was first discovered in
. SCP foundation officers can confirm that after several tests, everything about this male human truly is human. yet there are still many reasons why this small, 5'2" tall SCP is categorized as a Euclid class SCP. he claims he is only 15 years old, and does not appear to have many muscles or excess strength, and yet through testing scientists found that only the strongest and hardiest of D-class men could best him in a fight. SCP-3309 does not have any sort of inhuman strength, but he uses sharp wits and, most importantly, the advantage he gains when every single one of his opponents underestimate him. this has led to many instances where a D-class mocks him, and less then a minute later that same D-class ends up laying, whimpering, on the floor.

but this is not SCP-3309's main power. his main "power", as people in the foundation refer to it, is the ability to significantly increase his speed in most physical activities, such as running, hiking, swimming, biking, and many other sports such as football and basketball. this increase in speed, endurance, agility and general skill at what he is doing is due to what he calls "disappointment speed". SCP- 3309 explains that when somebody he thought was reliable lets him down or fails a simple task that he was involved with, then the anger from the moment pours into a physical activity. this may seem like something anyone is capable of, and it is, but not at this magnitude. researchers testing the increase in speed after a "fail scenario" found that SCP-3309's mile time went from 5:37 to 4:40. they took these times directly before and directly after a "fail scenario", only about 10 minutes apart.

but the SCP foundation would not normally settle for an SCP as casual as this. the real reason they kept SCP-3309 with the foundation is his interactions with other SCP's. of course, being human, he expressed fear when asked about meeting with SCP's such as 173, 096, 106 and 682. but interest was sparked when SCP-3309 expressed interest in meeting a very mysterious Euclid class SCP.

SCP-3309's only meeting with SCP-049 that is not entirely confidential.

as SCP-3309 strolled into the containment chamber of SCP-049, the Plague Doctor stood up from his chair.
"ah, a new subject, perhaps?" it asked in its dark, raspy tone.
SCP-3309 chuckled. "sorry, but no. the foundation wanted me to talk to you."
the plague doctor hissed quietly. "do those dim-witted apes of the human race fear me so much as to send a fellow SCP to do their dirty work?" it seemed to glare at the security camera in the corner of the room.
the kid sat down across the table from the doctor. "actually, i wanted to talk to you by myself." he signaled to the camera, and the red blinking light that showed it was on slowed, then stopped, and the camera lowered itself slightly.
the doctor looked from the camera to the kid and back again. "interesting. perhaps i underestimated you."
the kid smiled. "its okay. everyone does. now that we aren't under surveillance, we can talk. i am very curious- how do you get so many surgical tools from your bag?"
the doctor raised its head a little bit. "dear boy, you have no idea what is possible." it cackled for a few seconds, then pointed its beak back at the kid. " i have told you fools before. it produces my imagination. what i wish from it i receive. your insolence is so rooted in your brains you simply cannot understand this. to you it would be a simple bag, devoid of anything special, or anything at all. and yet to me, who has realized the truth of this world, it is a gateway to my mind."
the kid sat for a moment, thinking about what the doctor had said. finally he sat up straight again. " indeed. our minds are clouded and cannot comprehend the truth of all things. but you have sparked my interest. if your bag is simply a gateway to your mind, are you able to produce anything from the bag, or just surgical tools, as you have in the past?"
SCP-049 seemed to laugh to itself for almost a full minute before it started rummaging through its bag. "indeed your human comprehension is low beyond belief. yet you are not so bad. even now i am pulling something you desire, my fellow SCP, from this bag."
a look of surprise, rarely found with the kid, crossed his face as the doctor pulled out a , and put it on the table. "wow. that's amazing." he whispered.
at that moment 2 SCP foundation guards burst into the containment chamber. little did they realize they were running into a death trap. the doctor, angry that armed guards should come in right as it was showing one of its little known abilities in the middle of a conversation it deemed acceptable, it sprung into action. leaping with with inhuman strength, it soared directly over the kid's head and slammed into the chest of the first guard, killing him instantly. dozens of bullets ricocheted harmlessly of of the doctor as it got up and slowly advanced on the second guard. it jumped, all the way to the ceiling, to deliver the final blow. suddenly the kid was between them.
"STOP!" he yelled. the doctor looked at him, still hanging from the ceiling. the guard stopped shooting. the kid looked at the guard and put his hand in his shoulder. " put your gun down." he nodded numbly and set his M4 on the ground. the kid looked over to see that the doctor had silently gotten back on the floor. "i am very sorry, but it looks like our conversation has been cut short." the kid let go of the guard as he slowly backed out.
the doctor seemed to stare into the kid. " one last thing. i told you about myself; now tell me how you turned off the camera."
the kid smiled. "oh, it wasn't me. i am very persuasive, though. the guard listened to reason when i told him about why i wanted some alone time with you."
about a dozen guards hustled through the entrance to the containment chamber and dragged SCP-3309 away and closed the door. back in the chamber, SCP-049 began to laugh. in one foul swoop, a single, young, human SCP managed to learn more about SCP-049 then the entire foundation.
