Foreword: Dr. Hughes wanted to talk to Dr. █████████ about the reclassification denial.

Dr. █████████: So, you wanted SCP-ZZZZ to be reclassified? What is your reasoning?
Dr. Hughes: You tell me.
Dr. █████████: Tell you what? That this SCP subject is only a manual occurrence? Hell, they should just classify that mine shaft as safe! Only dumb people would call the elevator.
Dr. Hughes: (Raising their voice) It is not manual! It happens every 10 years! I have files to prove it!
Dr.█████████: (Shuffling through files) Well according to this file, the instances of SCP-ZZZZ-1 only emerge when an entity contacts the elevator.
Dr. Hughes: (Shuffling through notes) I researched through our databases and found this! (Holds up a news article) This was from the 1800's! It says that "mole people" had emerged from the ABANDONED mines and struck the town. Confirmed 16 disappearances.
Dr. █████████: What does that confirm? Maybe it was another anomaly.
Dr. Hughes: (Standing up) It has to be. SCP-ZZZZ IS an abandoned mineshaft. Also, instances of SCP-ZZZZ-1 can also be described as mole people.
Dr. █████████: Well that was from all the way back in the 1800's. That is shaky evidence.
Dr. Hughes: (Pulling out another news article) But it isn't! This newer article proves my theory! It is from 1986!
Dr. Hughes gives the article to Dr. █████████.
Dr. █████████: (Reading the file) Why this may as well be a- wait… hold on.
Dr. Hughes: (Starting to settle down) Now you notice.
Dr. █████████: (Blank) How did you get this?
Dr. Hughes: Got it from the archives. Someone here threw it out. I snooped the area and found the news articles. That was my backup information.
Dr. █████████: So you are saying that this article was once published to the public?
Dr. Hughes: That's how almost all public news articles are going around. How do you think I got this thing?
Dr. █████████: It was published 30 years ago.
Dr. Hughes: So- wait… I get it now.
Several alarms go off. SCP-ZZZZ has breached containment at this point.
Dr. █████████: Send in an MTF unit. Destroy all anomalies.

Closing Statement: After the interview, several instances of SCP-ZZZZ-1 had entered the the facility at Site-███ near SCP-ZZZZ. Dr. Hughes was the only disappearance.
