Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored within a standard 0.5 m x 0.5 m x 0.5 m Safe-class storage unit. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are not to be created or be on any individual’s person without explicit permission by a foundation research staff member of level 4 security clearance, and all allowable instances of SCP-XXXX-1 must be observed by research staff at or above level 3 at all times until use or expiration of SCP-XXXX-1.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small, metallic case of rolling papers, similar in appearance to those used for smoking recreational drugs. The case is 10 centimeters long, 5 centimeters wide, and 2 centimeters thick. The front of the case opens along two hatches with a dent lock on the front, and depicts a ghost with a green hue with the speech bubble “Spirit, Away! TM”. On the back is a small description that reads: “Take a friend, roll them up, light a hit, and you’ll link up!” SCP-XXXX will allow up to 5 pieces of SCP-XXXX-1 to be taken out within a 24 hour period before snapping itself shut and resisting all attempts to open it until 48 hours have passed. When SCP-XXXX-1 is rolled around an amount of mammalian biomatter small enough to be closed properly, any individual who smokes the filled SCP-XXXX-1 will become subject to its anomalous effects. The subject will enter a trance-like state, with a specific external and internal effect. Externally, the subject will exhibit symptoms typical of individuals under the influence of indica marijuana, losing tensions and retatining a relaxed state. There are occasional outbursts and actions the subject may take while under SCP-XXXX’s effect, associated with the internal effect. Internally, the subject will experience the memories of the the individual who’s body part is held within SCP-XXXX. Testing has indicated that different parts of the body have different effects, as detailed in the addendi. If a paper is not used within 24 hours, it will lose its anomalous effect alongside its distinctive green coloring.
The Foundation discovered the existence of SCP-XXXX through reports about a sudden string of students who were taking each other’s hair, nail clippings, bandages, and other bodily. An agent implanted as a district teacher traced the reports down to [Redacted], a student who was selling instances of SCP-XXXX-1 to her schoolmates. When questioned about why she had SCP-XXXX, she claimed that she had found it at a monthly flea market, at a booth dedicated to smoke shop essentials, all with the company emblem of Spirit, Away! TM . Later investigations show that no booth was authorized in the reported spot, and has yet to appear or be recorded at any other market as of this writing. All individuals were given Class-A amnestics and the cover story of a rampant molly ring was implemented into the community.
Addendum 1: Different pieces of the body tend to centralize around certain memories that have a theme/emotion attached to them, with organs providing the clearest dreams. Hair is mundane, arms are triumph, legs are fear, genitals are passion, heart is confidence, and more.
Addendum 2: Documentation of tests pending.
Addendum 3: Agent XXXX has requested that SCP-XXXX should be used on certain missions or circumstances that could assist in retrieving information from terminated operatives and/or civilians on SCPs. Request has been denied due to lack of reliability on visions and the limited usage per day.
