Item #: SCP-4404
Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4404 is to be kept in a one roomed humanoid chamber cell, due to it's semi-frequent neurotic breakdowns as a result of the untimely death of a SCP-4404-03, absolutely nothing in its cell should be able to be used as means of self harm to prevent the subject from attempting self termination.

Under no circumstances should SCP-4044 should be given access to cadavers (human or otherwise) or any means to prepare a meal for itself. Antidepressants are to be mixed in with it's food to help stabilise it's mood
SCP-4404-02

Description: SCP-4404 is an English adult male formerly known as Alston ███████ (ne █████) it is 22 years old, 5'7 feet tall with brown hair and has been described as having a pale complexion. SCP-4404 displays signs of Obsessive-Compulsive disorder and neurosis, often pacing and crying in its cell, it has also displayed a fondness of housework of all kinds, and may be given a role as a janitor as a reward for future good behaviour and compliance.

SCP-4044's anomalous properties manifest when it creates an article of food, ranging from a sandwich to a roast dinner, while chanting a song in an unknown dialect of Old English, the song seems to be thaumaturgic in nature, as it imbues the meal with anomalous properties which makes the meal an instance of SCP-4404-02.

SCP-4404-02 instances are articles of food prepared by SCP-4404 while singing the aforementioned song.If SCP-4404-02 is pushed down a human cadaver's mouth and into its stomach1, the former cadaver is resurrected, all signs of death such as decomposition undone, all thus instances of these instances are to be referred to as SCP-4404-03.

SCP-4404-03 instances are corpses, human or animal, anomalously reanimated by SCP-4404-02 instances by introducing them to the corpse's digestive system as detailed above. SCP-4404-03 behave just as their alive counterparts did, but do not age, instances require regular feedings of SCP-4404-02 at 9-15 hour intervals to stay reanimated, varying depending on the size of the former corpse, upon failure to feed the SCP-4404-03 instance within the given time intervals, it rapidly decomposes until it is a a skeleton soaked in a slurry of putrefied flesh. The destruction of the the gastro-intestinal system at this point makes father reanimating by SCP-4044 impossible.

Some SCP-4404-03 instances most closely affiliated with SCP-4404 include.

Interviewer: Researcher ███████

Foreword: [This interview was conducted approximately 13 hours after SCP-4404 original containment]

<Begin Log, >

** Researcher ███████r:** "good afternoon, number 4404, my name is Mr.███████"

SCP-4404: [SCP-4404 is visibly struggling to escape the grasp of the two guards placing it in it's chair] "I-who are you people? i don't understand whats happening it's-I need to get back or my he-"

Researcher ███████: "-Everything will become clear in due time, answer everything I ask and I will let you go" [Researcher ███████ clears his throat] "Please answer each question with everything you know, try and hide anything from us, and we will know. Now… firstly and foremostly, where did you gain your anomalous abilities?"

SCP-4404: [The subject looks mildly surprised at this inquiry] "That…came from my Mother, she taught me how to bring the dead back to life through the power of the domestic heath and flame…it was a form of magic, specifically kitchen-witchery, I remember her saying" [SCP-4404's previously distressed expression soothes slightly]
SCP-4404: "This art was usually only passed mother to daughter, she told me. but she only had me so I had to be the exception. It was just little things at first, small rats resurrected, then birds, then fox then…Biscuit-" [SCP-4404's seems distressed once more] "Is he still alive?"

Researcher ███████: [Researcher ███████ pointedly ignores its question] "Next question; how did you get hold of the body of Franklin ███████ ?"
SCP-4404: [The subject gives a small, shocked gasp, seemingly losing focus somewhat before mentally recomposing itself] "Well, you see,Franklin- we go way back, back to my childhood. He saw me by mistake using my, well, special craft to revive a bird, he was enchanted , and… somewhere along the line we became friends."
SCP-4404: "It was quaint looking back on it, how the boisterous older kid and the weird younger brat how nobody talked to became friends so easily, I suppose that's what the supernatural does; it preforms the impossible!"
SCP-4404: "Yet then- their was one night where everything went crashing down, their was a severe gas leak that snuffed out Franklin's life, wasn't even awake to see himself die… I suppose that was merciful in a way.
SCP-4404: "If I can spare to fine details, after the funeral I had to exhume his body from the earth to awake him from his eternal slumber with the meal I cooked beforehand, if that gives time in prison for body-snatching I'm quite fine with that, I've been running from it five years too many."
SCP-4404: "So, Franklin was reborn from the womb of wood and earth, he looked around and instantly knew what had happened to him, after a clandestine walk back home I had to talk to him about what happened and how I had to bring him back from the dead and what it meant for him… he cried, we both cried because he truly couldn't live without me now, we decided to run away, as I've been planning for a long time to get away from my smothering mother, and he couldn't bare to face his family after apparently dying then coming back again we simply didn't know how we could explain it without letting the world know about my magic, you see."
SCP-4404: "So that's it,we married in 2011 for benefits, at least that's what I told him, i'm still not sure how he felt about me after all that time… this has been very bizarre, and I've said everything I know, may I go home now? Please?"
Researcher ███████: "I have no say in that."
SCP-4404: "You said you'd let me go."
Researcher ███████: "Yes, let you go back to your cell. But do not threat, SCP-4404, your husband and pet, as anomalous entities shall be arriving here shortly to accompany you in your cell.
SCP-4404: [SCP-4404's expression flickers towards anger, before settling back down to relief] "Well, if you're going to keep me here for whatever I did, fine, but as long as Franklin is fine, I'll stay wherever."

Closing Statement: [Two hours later, both SCP-4404-03 instances are delivered to SCP-4404's cell, SCP-4404 is ecstatic, the humanoid SCP-4404-03 entity complains about severe hunger pains, followed by it rapidly decomposing right in front of SCP-4404's eyes, the canine SCP-4404-03 entity quickly following suit, this event caused SCP-4404 severe mental distress, resulting in it attempting self termination with a ██████ request to put SCP-4044 on suicide watch sent]
