A photograph of SCP-XXXX taken upon its discovery.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-XXXX's colossal and somewhat unpredictable nature, it is impossible to permanently contain it. A small tracker implanted into SCP-XXXX allows the Foundation to accurately locate SCP-XXXX and amnesticize individuals that may have observed it.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an immeasurably and incomprehensibly large biological entity. SCP-XXXX regularly undulates and coils around itself, giving the impression of fluidity. SCP-XXXX is covered with white skin and a large number of lacerations. The most notable features of SCP-XXXX are two one-meter wide blue eyes and two humanoid arms. While resting, SCP-XXXX's arms uphold the remainder of its mass.
SCP-XXXX is docile in most environments, however, it has been known to evade containment, sometimes forcibly releasing staff or tipping small, uninhabited vehicles. When staff is not actively trying to contain SCP-XXXX, it remains stationary and appears apprehensive about what the staff's intentions are1.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was first located in an uninhabited field by Dr. Houtkooper who was following a lead describing an incomprehensibly large entity that was disrupting livestock in a neighboring field. Dr. Houtkooper, upon seeing SCP-XXXX requested backup. While awaiting a standard mobile task force, Dr. Houtkooper crouched in a patch of tall flowers, taking notes of SCP-XXXX's behavior. The following is Dr. Houtkooper's notes of their interaction with SCP-XXXX.
Dr. Houtkooper, SCP-(awaiting designation) notes
- The entity does not seem to obey the laws of gravity or is otherwise supported by anomalous means
- The entity appears to be docile
- The entity is approaching the patch of flowers, apparently unaware of my presence
- I can see two sticks carrying the creature
- I can now see the "sticks" are arms
- It appears to be "dancing" with the arms: I am not entirely sure how that is possible
- One of them picked a blue flower very near me
- I think it sees me
Upon the mobile task force reaching Dr. Houtkooper, they were observed picking more blue flowers and apprehensively handing them to SCP-XXXX. The mobile task force ordered Dr. Houtkooper to remove themselves from the vicinity. Several cognitive tests confirmed Dr. Houtkooper's insistence that SCP-XXXX had not affected their cognitive functions. A tracker was planted in SCP-XXXX to more easily locate it and individuals who have witnessed it.
Addendum XXXX-1: Below is a complete log disclosing all notable events concerning SCP-XXXX prior to its containment.
| Event | Result |
|---|---|
| A prolonged interview between Dr. Houtkooper and SCP-XXXX determined that SCP-XXXX either could not or would not speak. In an attempt to encourage conversation, Dr. Houtkooper commented on SCP-XXXX's "pretty blue eyes". | Proceeding this comment, SCP-XXXX moved away from Dr. Houtkooper, who attempted to follow SCP-XXXX by gripping its arm. SCP-XXXX quickly withdrew, forcing Dr. Houtkooper to release it. A transparent liquid was observed emerging from SCP-XXXX's eyes. |
| SCP-XXXX was located in a deserted forest clearing. Dr. Houtkooper was transported to its location without incident. | As Dr. Houtkooper approached SCP-XXXX, it reached within a fold of its skin and when its hand emerged, a newspaper clipping was held inside it. Dr. Houtkooper asked to see it and SCP-XXXX consented. The following is the digital recreation of the newspaper clipping (see footnote)2. Dr. Houtkooper read the clipping and inquired SCP-XXXX, who stared at Dr.Houtkooper and did not react. Dr. Houtkooper inquired about the tornado mentioned in the clipping and SCP-XXXX coiled around itself. |
| SCP-XXXX was located by a destructed wooden pile and Dr. Houtkooper was instructed to repeat their actions of the previous addendum. | SCP-XXXX retrieved a paper from the wooden rubble and handed it to Dr. Houtkooper.3 Dr. Houtkooper requested a brief recess. |
