Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a standard containment chamber lined with a copper mesh to act as a Faraday structure within the chamber, located on floor 6 of Site 617. The chamber is to be vacated 20 minutes prior to the projected activation of SCP-XXXX. The chamber is to be inspected once weekly by D-class personnel, to verify the integrity of the Faraday structure within the chamber. If an outgoing signal is detected from SCP-XXXX's chamber, Site Director Amelix is to be notified immediately. Protocol Malus-Navis-2 will be activated in the instance of a containment breach.
Protocol Malus-Navis-2 will begin with complete evacuation of all sentient and sapient organics located on Level 6 of Site 617.
4 D-class personnel will be outfitted in Faraday suits, along with 6 facility guards to ensure D-class compliance. The Faraday suits will be designated Malus-Navis Asset 01. Personnel outfitted with Malus-Navis Asset 01 will be re-deployed to Level 6 of the Site, and will be required to replace the Faraday structure within SCP-XXXX's chambers.
Replacement materials will be stored in a standard storage room adjacent to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, for ease of access. Additionally, a temporary Faraday structure will be required to be placed over SCP-XXXX, as the complete replacement of the Faraday structure within the chamber will likely take more than 126 minutes, requiring personnel to remain within the containment chamber during an activation event.
Upon completion of repairs, the D-class will be escorted from the chambers, and all personnel will be permitted to return to work on Level 6. D-class personnel that volunteer for duty under Protocol Malus-Navis-2 will be rewarded with improved dwellings.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a transmitter beacon of unknown origin. It stands 330cm tall, 110cm wide, and is constructed of an unidentified metallic alloy. The structure of SCP-XXXX is a large conical base, with four upright columns and a series of toroids around the exterior circumference of these columns. Each column is topped with a luminescent red conical structure, of currently unknown purpose. The central assembly contains an energy emitter, which projects a beam of pure photonic energy into a sphere just below the uppermost toroid, which is not connected by any identifiable means to the base of SCP-XXXX. This upper toroid is linked to the base of SCP-XXXX, and will remain in its appropriate position above the base, regardless of any external influence. Additionally, testing has revealed that SCP-XXXX cannot be damaged by conventional means.
SCP-XXXX itself cannot be photographed by any known means, and as a result, a 3D-model rendering of this SCP has been attached to this document.
SCP-XXXX was first noticed by the Foundation on ██/08/19██, as a result of its sudden activation and subsequent vaporization of Lake ███████, located in ████████ Provincial Park, in Ontario, Canada. Vaporization of this lake was noted by the Planetary Monitoring Satellite Chain, designation IRIS. IRIS-3, positioned over North America, detected a massive spike in temperature, followed by a visual discrepancy with its internal data. This was reported to IRIS Operations Control, at Site 11. Mobile Task Force Theta-9 ("Snowbirds") was dispatched to investigate the anomaly, resulting in retrieval and containment of SCP-XXXX.
Testing has revealed that this sphere is the source of the transmissions from SCP-XXXX, the nature of which has yet to be decoded by Foundation personnel at this time. However, it has been identified that the transmissions are within the radio frequency spectrum, accompanied by an extremely confined carrier signal of modulated gamma radiation.
SCP-XXXX activates itself, with no measurable external influence, every 126 minutes. The significance of this amount of time is unknown. While active, the beacon broadcasts a signal towards the quasar ULAS J1342+0928, henceforth designated SCP-XXXX-2. During this process, XXXX's surface heats to 3000°C, which is cast off as waste heat. If XXXX's containment chamber is open at any time during this process, all sentient beings within 400m of SCP-XXXX itself will be immediately disassembled at the molecular level, leaving zero remains.
Each transmission from SCP-XXXX is broadcast in a narrow band directly to SCP-XXXX-2, which shows a visible response when observed with the electron telescope located at Site 617. The transmission itself is anomalous, as SCP-XXXX-2 is located 1.234x1023 kilometers from the Earth, with an observable response occurring approximately 17 minutes after completion of transmission.
SCP-XXXX-2 has been identified as a sentient Active Galactic Nucleus. How this has come to pass is unknown, however, Foundation personnel have confirmed that any individuals killed by the heat of SCP-XXXX's transmission are molecularly dissassembled, and their constituent atoms are broadcast as part of XXXX's modulated gamma radiation beam, directly to XXXX-2. Analysis of this beam has resulted in the discovery of trace amounts of human genetic material, as the gamma radiation transmission is not present if SCP-XXXX has not recently caused fatalities through containment breach. The reason for this is currently unknown. Foundation personnel have decoded a small fragment of XXXX's radio transmission. The transmission in question was decoded shortly after a containment breach, killing 14 personnel due to damage in the Faraday enclosure. The decoded fragment reads as follows:
"He hungers, I feed."
This message has been identified in all outgoing radio transmissions that have resulted in fatalities.
A response transmission from SCP-XXXX-2 has been intercepted. File is attached:
This transmission appears to be heavily distorted, and all attempts at repairing the audio have failed. Attempts at decoding this intercepted transmission continue.
SCP-XXXX-2 appears to be in a constant state of movement, though its speed and direction have not yet been observed, given the extreme distance from the nearest Foundation asset capable of observing these movements.
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a standard containment chamber lined with a metal mesh to act as a Faraday cage, located on Floor █ of Site 617. The chamber is to be vacated a minimum of twenty minutes prior to projected activation of SCP-XXXX. The containment chamber is to be inspected once daily by D-class personnel, to verify that there is no damage to the Faraday structure within the chamber. A breach of containment of SCP-XXXX is classified as the signal from XXXX being broadcast beyond the confines of its containment chamber. If damage is found, or a breach detected, Site Director Machina is to be notified immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a transmitter beacon. It stands 120cm tall, 30cm wide, and appears to be constructed of some sort of unidentified tungsten alloy. There is a three centimeter deep groove that runs up the sides and across the top of SCP-XXXX. This groove provides a low level of visible luminescence. All attempts to take a sample of this material have resulted in severe burns. Chemical analysis shows that the alloy is extremely heat-resistant. Elements other than tungsten have been confirmed, however they do not appear to be materials from this planet.
SCP-XXXX activates itself, with no measurable external influence, every 126 minutes. Whether or not this amount of time is significant is unknown. While active, it broadcasts a signal directed towards deep space, using narrow-band radio. During this process, the structure of SCP-XXXX heats to 2000°C, and upon reaching this temperature, it deactivates. Personnel are to be removed from the containment chamber prior to activation. Failure to exit and seal the chamber results in complete evaporation of bodily fluids, with a range of up to 400 meters of non-shielded space.
Testing has revealed that when removed from containment and allowed to activate, SCP-XXXX appears to broadcast directly at [REDACTED], which shows a visible response when observed with the electron telescope located at Site-617.
Furthermore, any images taken directly of SCP-XXXX will have the object fade from the image within 10 minutes. Accordingly, a rendering of a 3D model of SCP-XXXX has been attached to this document.
Addendum XXXX-1: During testing under supervision of Dr. Clef, SCP-XXXX activated while 4 D-class personnel were inside the containment chamber. ███ deaths reported as a direct consequence. Reclassified from Safe to Euclid, at behest of Site Supervisor ███████.
Addendum XXXX-2: SCP-XXXX relocated to Site-617 at behest of Doctor ███████. SCP-XXXX activated once while in transit, and a massive burst of gamma radiation was detected emanating from [DATA EXPUNGED].
Interviewed: Agent John Langley
Interviewer: Site Director █████████, Site 16
Foreword: Incident Report, XXXX-1
<Begin Log, 17:43>
Interviewer: Agent Langley, I need to you tell me exactly what transpired during transport of SCP-XXXX.
Agent Langley: Director, I've told you time and again. I heard a clunking sound from the cargo compartment, then the screams of Agents █████ and ██████, then nothing for a few minutes.
Interviewer: And then?
Agent Langley: Singing. I heard singing through my headset.
Interviewer: Describe the voice for the record, please.
Agent Langley: It was high pitched, female. It only sang for a few seconds, and I honestly have no idea what it said.
Interviewer: Can you try to repeat it?
Agent Langley: Ìhè ọcha nke [Unintelligble] na-abịa maka gị niile.
Interviewer: I'm sorry, could you repeat that?
Sudden blistering begins to appear on the hands of Agent Langley, who begins screaming.
Agent Langley: [screaming] WHAT THE FUCK?
<End Log>
Conclusion: Any personnel within proximity of a fatal broadcast event must be screened. Any exposed to this effect must be administered a Class-3 amnestic, in order to attempt to prevent further fatality.
Analysis of language sung by SCP-XXXX is reported to be Igbo. Reasoning for this is currently unknown.
Recovery Report for SCP-XXXX
Report filed by: Commander Ashtom, MTF Θ-9
Fatalities: 2
The Foundation was alerted to a potentially anomalous object by the Planetary Monitoring Satellite Chain, designation IRIS. IRIS-3, positioned over North America, detected a massive heat signature, followed by a visual discrepancy with its internal data. This was reported to Operations Control at Site 11.
Technicians at Site 11 informed Site Director ████████, who in turn authorized Mobile Task Force Theta-9 to investigate, and if possible, retrieve the anomalous object.
Upon receipt of orders, MTF Θ-9 dispatched three operatives to perform reconnaissance.
Arrival of these operatives revealed that the anomalous object in question did not appear to be particularly threatening, and may have been lulled into a false sense of security, hence their retrieval without assistance from primary forces of Θ-9. Object was located in the exact centre of the lake-bed of █████████ Lake, in ██████████ Park. Visual discrepancy confirmed to be due to the complete evaporation of the lake.
Despite lack of backup from primary Θ-9 forces, Agents Jones, Mayers, and Langley were successful in placing the anomalous object into a portable containment unit. However, unknown to them, these units were not designed to withstand temperatures of 2000°C. This resulted in their deaths, as the object activated itself while in transit, and due to heavy damage of the containment module, it was able to broadcast a wide-band transmission which appears to have caused excitement within all moisture in a 300m direct-line of the object. This, unfortunately, included Agents Mayers and Jones.
Agent Langley, though unharmed, reported singing through his headset while piloting the anomalous object to Site-16. It was successfully delivered and contained without further damages.
Agent Langley will be debriefed following completion of object containment. Following debrief, he will be sent for psychological review, prior to return to active duty.

Addendum XXXX-3 - Incident Report XXXX-3
SCP XXXX exhibited an unexpected behaviour in the form of a beam of ionizing radiation, acting as a carrier signal for an encoded stream of photons.
Investigation into this occurrence suggests a connection between the arrival of XXXX to the same site where XXXX was contained. XXXX was then moved to an undisclosed location once accommodations for its anomalous effects was established, and emissions from XXXX ceased.
As a result of this, we infer that a connection between XXXX and XXXX exists. The purpose of this connection is currently not understood.
