Item: 1933-0A-001 "Man Of Steel"

Classification Type: Extraterrestrial/Metallic

Discovery Date: April 12, 1932

Threat Level: Known

ASCI Protocols for "Man Of Steel": The humanoid currently trapped inside of "Man Of Steel" is the only viable way of communication with the extraterrestrial. The man is Clark Kent, a news reporter who was the first and only journalist to make it to the crash site of "Man Of Steel" before the ASCI could secure it. There appears to be a dual identity with the mechanism speaking through Kent and the mild-mannered Kent occasionally able to surface his own personality before being suppressed.

Restraints on movement have proven to be vital as the form "Man Of Steel" currently holds has bombs as its feet, which cause devastating explosive force every time it takes a step. It is capable of self-propelled flight. Its wings, which resemble those found on Curtiss Wanamaker aircraft, may be a part of this and have been restrained with heavy weights.

The head is hooded, appearing similar to those worn by the Ku-Klux-Klan and is empty apart from a mechanical apparatus designed to make it appear as though an enormous human head is underneath the billowing cloth. Below this is the cage which Clark is held in. Although Clark is not known to be a military man or a Klansmen, he did see both of these organizations in his job due to the "Birth of a Nation" film phenomenon and regular reporting assignments to west coast air bases.

Research Summary

Initially, ASCI agents were called to the scene of an unidentified flying object crash site, initially reported as a plane which had been struck by a bird. Upon reaching the landing site it was determined to be none of these things.

Consumption of drugs and other intoxicants does not appear to have an influence on its power. However, Krypton-II lasers developed by ASCI scientists have proven to be most effective in restraining it. It appears to have a natural aversion to this element.

Due to the size of "Man Of Steel" and its incredible strength it must be exposed to the refined Krypton-II laser system or else it will be able to move freely. It appears that its prime directive is the collection and cataloging of all objects it finds in this terrestrial space, before moving back to its home planet and bringing a larger force to collect the planetary resources.

The only item it collected, reporter Clark Kent, informed how it presented itself. When encountering intelligent life, "Man Of Steel" looks to be designed so as it can morph its appearance to suit something which allows it to blend in with the inhabitants of whichever planet it occupies.

"Man Of Steel" can never be allowed to leave captivity or return to its home planet.
