Special Containment Procedures: Due to the vast area of 'infection' SCP-5567 covers, containment was impossible. Isolation of the aria has proved far more effective and permission has been granted to isolate the object.
Description:
Initial reports of SCP-5567 came direct from the Russian government through undisclosable channels. These reports consisted primarily of disappearances of everyone in the a small city and were not considered until the local police, followed by the regional police, and finally a government dispatched agent all failed to report in within a 78 hour period. A small military contingent was dispatched to the area and quickly withdrew at which point The Foundation was contacted to investigate.
The area SCP-5567 affects is close to [DATA EXPUNGED].
Areas of known infection are marked on a map provided to us. Containment perimeters are marked in blue surrounding these infection areas and as of present no further locations have been identified. Incursions into the perimeter must be reported prior to conducting, confirmed during exploration, and debriefed on immediately following return.
SCP-5567 appears to be a never ending tv intro on a [DATA EXPUNGED] tv.
It’s is approximate 3 feet wide and 3 feet tallWhenever a human comes within a 30 meter radius of SCP-5567 . after 5 minutes its skin will start to melt like is being burned off. After 10 minutes the skin will be completely gone and half the muscle will be melted off and 20 minutes in the bone will start to crumble and melt. This however this will not kill the said person because as the body starts to melt the organs will not be effected. When the body is fully melted the organs and the decaying muscle skin and bone will drag itself toward the tv. SCP officials have done experiments to stop the remnants from reaching the tv but all have failed because the organs [DATA EXPUNGED]. As the organs reach the tv it’s will crawl towards the screen and merge with it.When the organs have completely merged with it they person will join the never ending intro.
The intro is for a show called Army of one. The intro is switching to a different 5567-2 every 5.4 seconds said people screaming so the point of broken jaws, ripped vocal cords and [DATA EXPUNGED]. The ageing progress still continues for 5567-2’s the oldest 5567-2 is 137 and the youngest 5567-2 is 3.
Observation of life infected by SCP-5567 by staff is impossible. Those infected with the disease immediately seek out aid as natural human impulse resulting in unintended infections. Those infected past the melted skin phase actively and aggressively attempt to pull anyone approaching them to the tv. It has been established that should an infected be capable of sight and observe an uninfected, it will proceed toward them. If the infected has lost the ability of sight, a range of approximately 30 meters is considered safe. The aria that SCP-5567 still has some people in it however they are not allowed to leave under any circumstance in case of hidden infection. Observation of SCP- 5567 infected settlements has been established using artificial methods such as security cameras. The data returned from these observations coupled with the openly aggressive nature of the infected to attempt to spread SCP-5567 has resulted in the Keter classification, however so long as nothing is allowed to enter or leave the infected areas it is considered a neutralized threat. Of concern are the cavernous areas beneath the infected settlements that were discovered during the exploration and attempts to get research personnel into these areas are underway.
