Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be contained in a 2 by 2 by 2 meter vacuum sealed room, to prevent any rust of the clockwork. The object has to be observed by a minimum of six cameras. Three of those cameras must be powered by three separate external power sources. The other three cameras will be powered by batteries which have to be changed every two days by professional personnel. The cameras are there for recording changes of the time shown by SCP-XXXX under any circumstances. Four scientists also have to take 12 hour shifts, two at a time, to observe the object. Changes to the object have to be verified by both scientists before they report the change to an O5-Council member.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a Victorian pocket watch. It´s about 5 cm in diameter and made out of a gold-copper alloy. The inner clockwork is slightly rusty but has no serious damages. The time is shown by two hands pointing on to Roman numerals. The dial is protected by a dirty class pane.
When held by a person or another SCP-instance it will reveal their time of death. This gives the subject two times a day, every day, of a possible death. This kind of knowledge is too stressful for the mind to comprehend and will inevitably lead to suicide, this will occur at the same time displayed by the watch when first held. Such properties where demonstrated when testing on D-Class personnel.
If not touched by any individual SCP-XXXX will predict an upcoming disaster. It has to be noted that the watch will only predict manmade disasters, incidents that involve significant loss of life. This property was recorded on several occasions

Addendum: As of now it is not known if SCP-XXXX is the causation of death or if it just makes predictions.
Of the 26 predictions made by SCP-XXXX since █ █ █ █ 14 have occurred.
Every D-Class who was exposed to SCP-XXXX committed suicide.
Notable incidents predicted by SCP-XXXX are Chernobyl, 9/11 and Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
Further Tests are prohibited.
