SCP-5138

Item#:SCP-5138

Object Class:Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:SCP-5138 is currently contained on Site-19 in a frozen chamber that is cooled to -40 degrees Celsius in order to keep the mercury that lines the walls solid. It is unknown if the solid mercury would keep it there if it wanted to escape, but it is known that when SCP-5138 comes into contact with mercury it acts as if it has been drugged and enters a trance-like state. The time of the trance depends on the quantity of the mercury. It is for this reason that the chamber in which SCP-5138 is kept in is plated with solid mercury. When personnel enter the room they are to wear standard hazmat suits. No paper whatsoever is allowed in or around SCP-5138's containment chamber, in case the mercury does not keep it in its trance.

If a crack appears in the mercury, the crack is to be filled with molten mercury. If tests and/or observations need to be made, SCP-5138's chamber's mercury will be melted, then SCP-5138 will be force-fed paper mixed with water through tubes and then taken away to another chamber without mercury so it can be tested on. Once tests are completed it will be darted by liquid mercury and then encased in mercury back in its original chamber.

There is much doubt around the mercury drugging because SCP-5138 came to site-19 on its own after delivering its final message and simply lied down. It did not make a single movement during any of the construction of its containment chamber or when it was encased in solid mercury. To quell these doubts the foundation has declared SCP-5138 an Euclid, though many researchers disagree and say it should be classified as Keter.

Description:SCP-5138 is a docile, pig like in structure, creature. It stands at approximately 17 feet tall. It's head and neck have the shape of the of a cobra, but upon further examination it appears that there are human-like eyes that make a pattern on SCP-5138's head and neck. It's most notable feature is the fact that all of its torso is made out of paper folded in an origami like way that gives its torso it's shape. The paper that builds up its torso seems immune to everything but liquid and solid mercury.

SCP-5138 is extremely intelligent, with the same IQ of certain professors that work in the same facility with it. It has the ability of speech and can speak multiple known and unknown languages, though how it can speak these languages without the proper tongue and shaped organs is unknown. SCP-5138 refuses to speak to any entity that is not a creation of SCP-001.

SCP-5138 will only speak to other SCP's that were either directly or indirectly created SCP-001, or better known as the Scarlet King. SCP-5138 calls SCP's created by SCP-001 "his children"or sometimes "the pure ones". SCP-5138 claims to SCP's that understand English that it is the personal messenger of Lord Harak and that it only brings messages from Lord Harak to his children. SCP-5138 will often tell other SCP' s that the day is coming when the Lord Harak will finally bring the destruction of all things and that the Creator shall not be able to stop him, and that all weaklings shall bow to his will. SCP-5138 does not care what the SCP's reaction to his message seems to be and after delivering his message will seek out the next entity created by SCP-001.

SCP-5138 has two unnatural abilities, one is the ability to teleport through paper, in which SCP-5138 will jump into a piece of paper and, by unknown ways, fit through the piece of paper no matter how small and jump out of whatever piece of paper it chooses. SCP-5138 will only use this ability to seek out other entities and to avoid harm. SCP-5138's other ability is the ability to regenerate lost tissue if it was damaged by ingesting large amounts of paper based materials.

Discovery:SCP-5138 was first discovered in the lobby of the same facility of SCP-999. Personnel reported seeing it squeeze out of a paper cup in one of the researcher's hands. It then ran and made its way into SCP-999's containment cell, who unusually did not try to touch SCP-5138 in any way while SCP-5138 delivered its message. Once SCP-5138 delivered its message SCP-999 tried to touch it, but it escaped through a piece of paper on a clipboard before SCP-999 could reach it. After this event SCP-999 was closely monitored and all paper materials in the facility were monitored. It was also noted that SCP-5138 did not harm anyone during its breach and the foundation would soon learn it would never intentionally harm any personal during any of its breaches. There have been a recording of more than 20 of these breaches.
