Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5024 is to be contained in an anomalous humanoid containment chamber. No human being is to come within 5 meters of SCP-5024 and all interviews are to be done via remote control drone. 5024-2 and -3 can be kept within close proximity to each other in separate containment units. SCP 5024-2 and -3 are to never come into contact with SCP-5024 (see addendum). SCP 5024-2 is to be put in a steel cube that’s 20 m x 20 m x 20 m as well as have 2 armed guards posted at the entrance of the containment unit at all times. SCP 5024-3 is to be put into an average anomalous weapon containment unit with 2 armed guards posted at the entrance of containment unit at all times. Nobody is allowed to come in contact with -3 at all times any personnel who do are to be observed until they expire. No personnel with Scandanavian ancestry may be assigned to any of these SCP’s (see addendum).

Description: SCP-5024 is an anomalous humanoid that is 3 meters tall wearing traditional Nordic garments. Blood test results have shown that the entity has multiple forms of cancer, liver, heart, and lung diseases, as well as [REDACTED], a disease thought to have disappeared in 1,000 AD. Although it seems to show no signs of being affected by any of the diseases. All of 5024’s skin seems to show signs of extreme necrosis. This seems to not have any effect on how 5024 moves, acts, or carries out normal day to day functions. 5024 requires no form of substance to sustain itself nor does it require oxygen. 5024 speaks Ancient Norse, little English,

When any biological entity comes into contact with SCP-5024 the entities entire immune system seems to collapse. When SCP-5024 was asked what this was he said that this was his “Blessing from the Gods”. As of today, there is currently no way to repair the immune system once it is in this state. After contact subject will expire within 5-10 days after coming in contact with 5024 before expiration the infected will always say “To Valhalla”.

SCP-5024-2 is a wooden figurehead in the shape of a dragon’s head that dates back to the year 987 AD. There are no visible signs of rot or decay on the figurehead. The figurehead seems to have belonged to the viking warship of ████ ███████ seeing their ship was missing it’s figurehead. It’s anomalous effect activates whenever it’s at least 50 m away from 5024. Approximately after 3 days of it being this far from 5024 anyone within a 20 m radius of -2 and of Scandinavian descent will be urged to take -2 to 5024. All the while claiming “It’s the will of the Gods” in Old Norse. Once -2 is back within 50 m from 5024 the effect will immediately cease. When interrogated all personnel claimed that they had no control over it and that it felt natural. This event has been officially classified as 5024-4

SCP-5024-3 is a viking battle axe that dates back to 950 AD. There are also no visible signs of age or rust that can be seen on the item. Located on 5024-3 is a patch of dried blood belonging to ████ ███████ it has yet been confirmed how 5024 obtained -3. When it’s at least 60 m away from 5024, 5024-4 will activate. The only other defining factor of -3 is the inscription “Kykr Sòttarfar” on the handle. Foundation translators have determined it means “Living Disease” in Old Norse. When held without proper protection a similar effect as to 5024’s will happen to its wielder although the victim expires in 2 days instead of the average 5-10.

Addendum 5024-1: The first instance of 5024-4 occured no casualties were caused and new containment procedures have been put into effect.

Addendum 5024-2: The second instance of 5024-4 has occured this time affected personnel obtained nearby objects and used them as weapons. Afterwards it was determined that this event only affected personnel with Scandanavian descent and all personnel with Scandanavian descent have been removed from 5024’s area.

Addendum 5024-3: The third instance of 5024-4 occured and affected personnel succeeded in retrieving -2 and -3 as well as delivering them to 5024. When delivered to 5024, -2 began to illuminate and -3 became an animate reptile and onsite personnel retrieved referred to -3 as a “dragon”. The effects of 5024,-2, as well as -3 seemed to have halted once MTF units separated 5024 from -2 and -3. All personnel of Scandinavian descent have been removed off of Site-██ where 5024 as well as -2 and -3 have been kept.

Retrieval log: Multiple reports from a small village in ███████, ███████ warning people to avoid contact with town. After approximately 15 days an MTF unit was sent into the town to check out the scene for a possible anomaly. On arrival all civilians in the town were dressed like traditional viking warriors and berserkers and attacked the MTF unit they were also worshipping 5024 as their deity and defending it. After 19 hours all civilians were either imprisoned or terminated and 5024, -2, and -3 were brought to Site-██ for containment.
