Proffesor Reasons

How long has it been? A year? Since 682 lost his father. Of course, the Scarlet King isn't truly dead. Death just doesn't work the same for the old gods, he simply died in this Universe, which means he is unable to enter it again. In all the Duodecillions of eons of his conquest, this was the first time he was killed, 682 still had trouble digesting that thought, by humans no less. "682?". Now the leviathan was stuck behind enemy lines. "682?". Yes, this had been the case for tens of thousands of years, but for the first time since that fateful day, he was without a chance for extraction, without guidance, without a mission. "682?". "Doctor Glass!" he finally responded, annoyed. "One more time: why have you been so inactive, recently?" He usually only referred to staff by their last name, of they were lucky, that he now called the psychologist Doctor was more than enough to show just how done he was. "Is that not what you wished all this time?" "Uh… yes?" "Then leave me alone, I do not have the energy left to care!" "682! You have failed to cooperate since-" "Since what?! Come on tell me! I was dead and regenerating at the time, so I do not remember what exactly happened! I would be thrilled to find out how your disgusting race destroyed all I lived for!". Now Simon was not about to risk getting the old Lizard back: "Very well, Interview terminated."

"So how did it go?" Simon Glass heard the voice of his Boss say. "Not particularly well, Bright. He-" "It." interrupted the personal director. "… still isn't cooperating. Acts weirdly too, do you think 682 can be depressed?" This made Dr. Bright visibly uncomfortable "Hell if I know…"

Suddenly a Breach Alarm rang through the hallways. "Questions for later." the doctors agreed before running to the vehicle bay to evacuate.

The hard to destroy Reptile snapped in the air, triggering the motion-controlled turrets in its cell. "What is going on out there! Leave me some peace of mind for once!"
That's when 096, the Shy Guy, broke through the cell door on its way to its next victim. The Humanoids' face was filled with the same horror it usually instills in others as it realized its mistake.
Before it could run, 682 grabbed the presumed cause of the containment breach with its anteater-like tongue, slammed it into each turret with enough force to destroy them, and then submerged it in his acid bath for daring to disturb his slumber. But now there was this open blast door, taunting him with a chance to escape that, a year ago, he would have jumped at.

He sighed "Why not, I don't have anything else to do."
