Item #: SCP-3XXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Containment of SCP-3XXX is currently unfeasible due to the number and distribution of its broadcasting locations. To combat growing public awareness of SCP-3XXX, a mass disinformation campaign has been launched with the goal of disguising SCP-3XXX as a work of fiction. To this end, the following actions have been, will be, and/or are continuing to be taken:
- The creation of a fictional website for SCP-3XXX, describing it as a television show parodying political debates, especially those for high-level offices such as that of a governor, legislative representative, President/Prime Minister, etc.
- The creation of SCP-3XXX merchandise, sold through an online storefront on the aforementioned website.
- The creation of advertisements for SCP-3XXX, memetically engineered to decrease watchers' willingness to believe that SCP-3XXX is anything other than a work of fiction.
- The staging of live shows emulating SCP-3XXX broadcasts, performed by Mobile Task Force Lambda-31 ("Mediators").
Efforts to locate and neutralize the source of SCP-3XXX are ongoing.
Description: SCP-3XXX is a series of television broadcasts that began occurring throughout the continental United States in 2013. These broadcasts mainly occur during the local evening, and often coincide with local or national elections. While it is possible to trace individual instances of SCP-3XXX back to their apparent broadcasting locations, no source has been found for them. It is currently theorized that SCP-3XXX is an inter-universal broadcast from an alternate universe significantly different from our own, and that it is connected to SCP. SCP-3XXX broadcasts consist of election-cycle debates between two or more candidates for a major political office, often ranging from the level of regional governor to that of the highest executive official (president, prime minister, etc.). Although the basic structure of these debates is similar to those in our world
