Prometheus Guyver

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Containment Procedures: Site SCP-XXXX is public maintained as a private meteorological research station belonging to the Safe and Clean Planet Initiative, a Foundation front company, under the pretext of studying the effects of climate change on the local ecosystems. Any non-Foundation staff found on the premises or attempting to access SCP-XXXX are to be detained and interrogated, the outcome of which is at the Site Director’s discretion. All such events must be logged immediately.

The entrance to SCP-XXXX is to have no less than two security personnel stationed nearby at all times. SCP-XXXX can only be accessed with written approval from the Site Director. Any staff attempting to access SCP-XXXX without approval are to be detained and interrogated, the outcome of which is at the Site Director’s discretion. All such events must be logged immediately. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX site staff are to operate in teams of no less the 3, including one mandatory member of security personnel. No more than three teams of site staff are to be within SCP-XXXX at any one time. Team’s exploring uncharted parts of SCP-XXXX are to create a comprehensive log of their journey for the purpose of further mapping SCP-XXXX’s layout. Site staff are prohibited from interacting with any of the inhabitants of SCP-XXXX for their personal safety. Any experiments within SCP-XXXX require additional written approval from the Site Director.

Only a single team of site staff is permitted to be active within SCP-XXXX at any time. Teams must consist of a minimum of three research staff and four security personnel, this is non-negotiable. Any site staff that go missing within SCP-XXXX are to be considered KIA and no search teams are to be sent.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a Victorian era style zoological garden of indeterminate size that is currently theorized to be contained in what is currently theorized to be a pocket dimension. The structures and exhibits of SCP-XXXX all display some level of deterioration seemingly due to neglect. Currently there are no signs that this deterioration is affecting the integrity of SCP-XXXX exhibits. Samples taken from SCP-XXXX’s structures have consistently shown them all to be constructed from common iron, brick and concrete. Each of SCP-XXXX’s exhibits is built to the scale of it’s occupant and within the general style of the era they appear to be based on, with each possessing a sign providing details about the occupant. See SCP-XXXX Exhibit Log for more information. The sky is a permanent overcast grey and it is currently unknown if anything lays beyond SCP-XXXX's limits as no research team has yet to find it's borders.

Within the exhibits of SCP-XXXX are machines who’s design’s are akin to giant robots found in Japanese fiction. Each machine varies in size and appearances but all are humanoid, the smallest is documented at 11 meters tall while the largest is almost 400 meters. They all appear to be autonomous and do not seem to require any kind of reenergising. The machines all exhibit varying degrees of rust and damage as well as appearing to be suffering from psychological problems consistent with animals kept in limited containment space for long periods of time with little to no stimuli. This includes pacing, route tracing, excessive self-grooming and self-injury. All attempts to communicate with the machines have had negative results with researcher staff being ignored or treated as a curiosity. Physical contact initiated by D-Class personnel resulted in death, both accidently or intentionally. Interestingly, while a number of these machines possess advanced weaponry, such as lasers, missiles or even [DATA EXPUNGED], they cannot escape as their exhibits have so far proven immune to their assaults. In fact the affects of their weaponry do not pass beyond the exhibit’s bars, despite the fact the both machines and foundation personnel can reach through them physically. The cause of this phenomenon is currently unknown.

The entrance to SCP-XXXX is a simple, rusted, metal door with the barely legible words STONE WALLS DO NOT A PRISON MAKE, NOR IRON BARS A CAGE printed on it. Aside from functioning as an access point for SCP-XXXX, this door displays no other anomalous properties on either side. To date no other access points to SCP-XXXX have be located.

SCP-XXXX came to the foundations attention via an anonymous letter, currently of unknown origin, that was found inside the United Kingdom Observation Post 428-Kilo on the 24/11/[DATA EXPUNGED]. How this letter appeared at the location is unknown. The letter provided the geographical location of the entrance to SCP-XXXX, which was within a dilapidated Victorian era factory located on private land in Nottingham, together with the sentence "I'm dying, please look after them". The site was purchased by the Foundation, it already being for sale, and the initial survey team discovered the entrance to SCP-XXXX. The site originally belonged to a Sir Adolphus Schwarzwald, a self proclaimed German Industrialist who bought the land in 1850. No records of Sir Schwarzwald prior to his acquisition of the site have been discovered by the Foundation and he was declared dead in absentia in 1889 after his disappearance during fire of unknown origin, which damaged a large section the factory. The site remained disused and unsold due to legal issues regarding its ownership after the death Sir Schwarzwald, interestingly these legal issues were resolved three weeks prior to the Foundation becoming aware of SCP-XXXX. Also of note, local legends claim that the ghost of Sir Schwarzwald haunts the site. These stories began in 1890 when local children who had been exploring the site claimed to have seen Sir Schwarzwald wandering the halls and continued to[DATA EXPUNGED] when the site came into foundation possession. To date, no site staff have reported anything resembling this phenomenon.

Addendum – 001: Due to a number of research staff and security personnel going missing alongside reports of compromised exhibits, SCP-XXXX has been upgraded to Euclid and containment procedures updated. See Incident Log for more details.
