Item #: SCP-3741

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The warehouse which contains SCP-3741 has been purchased by a Foundation front company, and Site-3741 has been set up in the non-anomalous parts of the building. Two armed guards are to be posted at the main entrance at all times to deter intruders, and all non-essential entrances are to be permanently sealed.

The inner walls of SCP-3741 has been reinforced with 50cm of concrete, being covered with an additional 2cm of steel plating and 5cm of sound dampening material. Any damage sustained to the internal walls of SCP-3741 is to be repaired as soon as possible. The warehouse doors have been permanently sealed and reinforced in a similar fashion

Due to the nature of SCP-3741, direct monitoring is not feasible. High-speed cameras are to be mounted in each upper corner of SCP-3741 to provide vision. In the event that a camera is destroyed, it should be replaced as soon as possible, though such maintenance can be delayed if SCP-3741 is in a high-activity state.

Any item that is found inside of SCP-3731 is to be recovered and destroyed with appropriate methods.
In the event that a person is found alive inside of SCP-3741, they are to be interrogated and given Class-C Amnestics before release.

No personnel are to remain inside of SCP-3741 for longer than necessary. The use of drones for various maintenance tasks is encouraged whenever possible. In the event that personnel must enter SCP-3741 regardless, full body armour including a helmet must be worn at all times.

Description: SCP-3741 is a spatial anomaly manifesting in the main storage space of a warehouse located in █████ ████████, Colorado. The storage space measures 20m x 40m x 8m, giving SCP-3741 a total size of 6,400m3.
During random intervals, various objects will manifest inside of SCP-3741. These objects will always be in motion, resulting in the object launching itself in various directions immediately upon manifestation. Because of the enclosed space which SCP-3741 inhabits, this leads to the object invariably colliding with one of the inner walls or falling to the ground, with varying results depending on the object in question.

After an object has collided with a surface, it will de-manifest in 88.3% of cases. The remaining 11.7% of objects will remain inside of SCP-3741, eventually coming to rest on the warehouse floor or becoming stuck in the wall it has impacted.

The number of manifestation events per day will greatly fluctuate, with some days having less than 10 manifestations, while others constitute "high-activity" days where the greatest amount of manifestations recorded were 5,199 objects during a 24-hour period. The average amount of events per day is usually 223.

Items that have been observed manifesting inside of SCP-3741 include:

  • Golf balls
  • Baseballs
  • Stones (ranging from pebbles to larger rocks)
  • Frisbees
  • Throwing darts
  • Boomerangs
  • Air gun pellets
  • Arrows
  • Bullets
  • Grenades
  • Cannon projectiles (See Incident 3741-A)
  • Humans (See Incident 3741-B)

Discovery: SCP-3741 was discovered in ██/██/1992 after local workers heard several explosions from inside the warehouse where SCP-3741 resides1. At the time, the warehouse was up for sale and unoccupied.
Police was called to the scene, and upon entering SCP-3741 found it to be mostly empty save for various items scattered across the floor. Before police could investigate further, one of the officers was struck in the head by a newly-manifested baseball, rendering him unconscious.
Reports of a "Warehouse poltergeist" were picked up by Foundation personnel who quickly moved in to secure the scene without incident.

Incident 3741-A
During a high activity event in ██/██/2013, where an unusual amount of rifle-caliber bullets had been observed, a large explosion was recorded on SCP-3741's inner southern wall, causing considerable damage. High-speed cameras confirmed that a projectile had struck the wall at a speed of approximately 1,550m/s.
After the high activity event had subsided, it was discovered that the projectile in question was a Tungsten APFSDS2 projectile, fired from a Main Battle Tank cannon. The projectile, along with the remaining bullets, were discerned to be of (Soviet) Russian design, though it is unknown who might have fired them.

Incident 3741-B
On ██/██/2016, a man manifested 2m above the floor at a speed of 23m/s, flying horizontally. The man had sustained life-threatening injuries to his head and expired shortly after recovery.
It was later discovered that a vehicle in his name was found crashed outside of █████, Florida. Damage to the car indicated that the man had flown through the windshield during the accident, before manifesting inside of SCP-3741.
